Party at the Blue Bantha!
WHO: Everyone!
WHERE: The Blue Bantha in Coruscant's entertainment district
WHAT: A party!
WHEN: The last day before they leave.
WARNINGS: Fun times? Probably drunkenness.
After having found this place on an outing with Echo, Obi-Wan had decided he rather liked this one particular establishment they stopped at. So for their last evening on Coruscant, the Jedi had the place rented out. A network post also going up inviting everyone for one last hurrah before they have to go back to Temba.
Welcome to the Blue Bantha Bar and Grill!
Everything is very blue. A bright blue neon sign advertises the joint in the entertainment district. Its letters in Aurebesh with a little bantha head shaped neon light next to it as well. The lighting inside is distinctly blue as well. There is a mounted bantha head placed on the far wall above the bar, its fur having been dyed blue. Clearly it is the mascot of this place.
There are tables and booths in varying locations for people to sit. With the tables having bantha hide rugs under them that look reminiscent of shag carpet, while the booth seats have bantha hide upholstery as well. There's a band playing in one corner with space for people to dance. While on another side there are screens broadcasting sporting events from across the galaxy. Feel free to place bets on who you think will win!
Even the staff are either blue, or are wearing blue. It won't be uncommon to have a blue scantily clad Twi'lek waitress serving you. The long bar also has blue neon lighting with several stools to sit at, in which you can order whatever drink your heart desires on their menu.
Speaking of the menu, everything is made with bantha products. That is what they specialize in. Several types of Jawa Juice, a kind of beer made from fermented grains mashed in bantha hides, can be found here. As well as Bantha Blood Fizz, a sparkling drink made from purified bantha blood in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties. And of course they serve several drinks featuring blue milk, from just the plain stuff to several alcoholic concoctions. There is also food of course! Bantha steak, bantha burgers, bantha stew, and other meat dishes are served as it's pretty much this galaxy's equivalent of beef. You can even get desserts made from blue milk such as cheesecake and ice cream.
Have fun! The Temba group have this establishment all to themselves for the night!

However, as the evening goes on, the Jedi grows a bit more somber. Sitting there with a bowl of blue ice cream that he picks at. Knowing that his time on this planet that he had always considered his home was growing short.
He wouldn't stay the whole time. Eventually he would go back to the temple for a few last hours of peace before they have to board the ships. But until then, he's happy for a little company.
no subject
He has to wonder how much it costs to rent out a whole place. Maybe there's a Jedi discount or something. They seem important around here, after all.

He has a glass of something alcoholic and a steak that he sets heavily down next to Obi-Wan before joining it, just as heavily. A hand is clapped onto his shoulder and another smile shot his way. "That medicine stuff worked wonders. Thanks for that."
He glances at the ice cream and his head tilts a little to the side. "Ice cream for dinner sort of guy? Man. That's the way to do it."

He's also already said his goodbyes to Coruscant's Mandalorians. Done with some reluctance, as he knows on Agra-10, he'll once again be the only one. Them wishing him well, as he continued on his strange journey, and that in the unlikely event he'd ever return, he'd always be welcome. He'd repaid them for their kindness, with getting them things they needed, and or otherwise couldn't get. In the end, also leaving whatever credits he had left over with them. They'd be useless on Agra-10 anyway.
He'd also restocked his munitions, including a new vibroblade. That, along with the Agrii apparently deciding to give him(Grogu??) his Rising Phoenix, had him feeling more complete, than he had since before getting to Temba. Now on their last night, he was at the blue bantha. However, he's more people watching, than really participating in any activities. Having found a quiet table off to the side. He's at least taking part in drinking, a straw having been dug up from somewhere. His current choice, a mug of Jawa juice. If one's observant or quick enough, they may even catch him lifting up the helmet just enough to get a quick bite of bantha steak, before the helmet is put back in place.
no subject
He sat down next to him, reached behind his back, and set something wrapped in a dark green cloth on the table. Cobb pushed it towards Din. "Been tryin' to find a good time to give this to you."
There had been a few but Cobb had just never managed to work up the courage. Now with a few drinks and a party to distract everyone he figured why not? There'd probably never be a perfect time. Might as well make one himself.
"Bought it on our little trip to the Mandalorian part of town," he explained as Din started to unwrap it. "Thought it'd be a good thank you. That was the most I've felt at home on this planet."
Wrapped carefully inside the cloth was a sheath for a combat knife. It was made to fit on the straps of a thigh or calf piece of beskar armor. The sheath was clearly Mandalorian craftsmanship and handmade by a talented leather worker. It was a rich caramel color and stamped on the front was the mythosaur skull stained black. Cobb had known the moment he spotted it he wanted to give it to Din.
It was a lot more than just a thank you. Cobb almost wished he still had his beskar armor to hide behind a helmet. His sabaac face was pretty good but he still felt like Din might read some of those new, stronger feelings in his expression. And that was a risk he was willing to take.

Kyle stumble-hurries to Din's table, smiling widely. "Mando! Hey, dude! It's so good to see you! Dude, dude I saw a stuffed Blurrgy, it was fucking weird. How have you been liking this place?"

OTA
Catch him a few drinks in and he's far more effusive. He'll greet you cheerfully even if you've never met, and he's absolutely enchanted by the blue theme. Kyle can be found by the band, trying to figure out a way to get them to play rap from the 90s and 2000s, insisting that they must know it because it's old. Save that poor band from his requests for the Notorious B.I.G. because he's probably not gonna stop.
By the end of the night he'll be sleeping in a booth or trying to start a fight outside. It really is a toss-up.
no subject
Once his hand drifted down to his blaster the thugs thought better of starting a fight with him and after a little spitting and cursing in an alien language Cobb didn't know they walked off.
He turned to face Kyle with a frown. "Why are you startin' trouble? You know, never mind. Let's just go back to the hangars. I think you need to sleep it off."
And like Kyle was a wayward loth cat Cobb kept a hold on the back of his shirt to steer him towards a taxi stop. You can take the Marshal off Tatooine but you can't stop him from Marshal-ing.

She's a little surprised to see Kyle of all people in what seems like the beginnings of a fight and honestly, men can be stupid when they're in their cups, can't they?
"You," she shouts at the thugs outside, imperious as she can be. "Find something worthwhile to do before I call security on you. Once they decide it's not worth it, she turns to Kyle.
"Calm down. There's no need for nonsense."

Somehow Jon manages to remain mostly sober, and between dishes he settles with observing other members of their group, quietly studying them for their own anxieties despite knowing full well that he couldn't make any of them a victim of his. He has sought out that opportunity during their stay on Coruscant more often than he likes to admit, but especially the lower levels made it- Easy. So very easy... And he has heard dreadful tales of very personal experiences told in terrified, yet steady voices. Too bad he will be back to listening to stray tapes soon enough, but the stay on this planet at least has done him well.
When he isn't busy with food and drink or observing, Jon can be found outside the bar to smoke a cigarette and watching the steady traffic of speeders above.
no subject
If he didn't notice Jon earlier, he sees him now. Then again, there aren't that many people hanging around one spot while the rest of Coruscant continues moving.
"I heard those are bad for you," the clone says, still wearing some pieces of his armor over the more 'civilian' garb he's put together late in the game. No helmet to be found here, for once – in its place is a hat from Cal (well, BD-1 was the one who chose it), the brim pushed up slightly so that Echo's face isn't fully obscured by it.

This gathering however serves as a reminder that this was only a brief vacation, although he wonders that they'd found out anything the Agrii had meant for them to. The Exo had enjoyed a few drinks and sampled what he could of the food, stepping outside for a break.
Hopefully the Archivist doesn't startle too badly when the Exo comes over beside him while he's out there, dropping an arm over his shoulders. "Hey buddy! Glimmer for your thoughts?"

But, it was clearly a place for a party and he could understand a few folks wanting to cut loose in civilization while they had the chance so he showed up. Not in his armor but in his usual red shirt and red scarf making him stick out like a sore thumb among all the blue.
Not that he cared. He picked a table in the middle, ordered a bottle of spotchka and some bantha kabobs then brought out his deck of sabaac cards. He left the majority of his credits back on the First Breath with the hope maybe he'd get to take them back to Tatooine one day. The rest? Who cared? He might as well gamble them away on the last night here.
And if anyone didn't know how to play when they sat down Cobb would teach them if they wanted or just chat between dealing rounds. It was meant to be a fun night, after all.
no subject
At some point during the partying, the clone sits himself down at Cobb's table with very little ceremony. He's played a few rounds when the marshal first had the sabaac cards out, but he still feels like he hasn't completely gotten everything just yet. And the last time he did that, he was in his full set of 501st armor.
Most of the armor now has obviously been replaced by civilian clothing, save for maybe the vambraces and the greaves that sport a familiar shade of blue. Where the helmet's featureless visor should be is a hat that doesn't bother to hide the smirk on his face.

There hadn't been that much opportunity to put his newfound Sabacc skills to use for reasons they'd already anticipated (not that he hadn't tried anyway, with varying degrees of success), but in the end it was more fun to play with friends and acquaintances anyway.

She's dressed for the occasion in a flowing white and purple dress. It drapes down from a gold choker around her neck and two matching ones on her biceps. Her hair is in loose curls, held out of her face by a metal headband. Still tired, she's found a comfortable seat and is nursing a glass of wine. If anyone approaches, they'll be greeted warmly with a smile.

"Hello Senator," he greets with perhaps a hint of a teasing smile as he bowed politely to her in the traditional Jedi way. "May I join you?" He knows full well he doesn't have to call her that, especially being out of time as they were, but he did anyway.

He's amassed quite a stack of empty plates in his time there. While everyone else is drinking and socializing, Grogu has been eating. He's currently halfway through his second Bantha steak, with a glass of blue milk with a straw to make it easier for him to wash it down.
What? Don't judge him, he's a growing kid.

At The Hangar - OTA for those that didn't party
But she did almost say yes just for a chance to get to know the people she was trapped with. Ophiuchus wanted to go and encouraged her but... her natural anti-social nature won out in the end. She chose to stay behind with the ships and familiarize herself with the fleet.
Which proved difficult as the other ships would not let her enter. A strange security measure when they were supposed to all work together but this was a strange alien race that had kidnapped them Ikora had learned.
So, she settled in the middle of the ships with Ophiuchus going over a datapad she had purchased with the galactic history of this universe. It was fascinating stuff. So many planets and people to learn about.
no subject
The Hunter Vanguard would come sauntering along down the hangar, a bottle of something blue in one hand, two carved wooden mugs in the other. Sundance had picked up the other Guardian easily enough once they'd arrived back at the hangar, so at least Cayde wouldn't be making a fool of himself poking around ships.
"Although two don't drink so I guess we're down to half again."
He spoke so casually that one wouldn't think they were on an alien planet but back at the Tower at the Last City, where Ikora would be tucked away in her corner working past normal o'clock as usual. He wouldn't be surprised if she'd found something to work on here, there were likely a lot of things her Warlock mind was considering and it was his self-appointed job to make her take a break.

Blue Bantha - OTA
He's caught so flat-footed by the honorific, he stops arguing, and takes the tooka back outside with the promise of a tidbit of food if she stays out of sight but nearby until he comes back out.
Once he's settled in at the party, he really doesn't plan on drinking a lot. He's spent so much of his life needing to stay on the lookout for danger, that drunkenness has just never much appealed. It begins to dawn on him that he's possibly even more of a light weight than he'd realized, when standing with his second drink in hand, Ezra spots Obi-wan kissing Padme's hand and helping her to her feet to dance, he finds himself whispering, "Master Kenobi can get it."
He shuts his mouth with an audible click, and his gaze darts around him. No one heard that, right?
For the rest of the party, he swears off beverages of the alcoholic sort, to focus more on food and company.

Bantha OTA
When she heard 'party', her first thought was to dress up for the occasion. Years of going to museum gallery premieres and operas have trained her mind to aim high. She puts on the sleeveless green dress she bought in the market and puts her hair up in a twist that's an approximation of one she'd seen Padme wear earlier, though not quite as ornate. Once she steps inside, her face falls for a few seconds before she gives in to the humor of the situation and laughs to herself.
"Awh, shit, I definitely overdressed."
B: Dinner
At first she's skeptical about such a one-note menu, but Clarice has been taught to be brave with her culinary choices, and she's already discovered the delights of the bantha burger. She orders a steak at the bar, but is told she should choose a table if she wants to eat - "the bar's for drinkin', Miss Fancy", she's told. With a self-deprecating smile, she approaches the closest table with an empty seat: if there's a familiar face there, even better, but if not, she'll make do and make friends. Parties are for socializing, after all.
"Hi, is this seat taken?"
C: Terrace Thoughts
Toward the end of the night, she takes one last piece of blue cheesecake out onto the terrace and looks up into the endless city. There are more speeders than stars, more lights and life than she could have ever imagined in one place, and in the midst of it all is a mystery she's still not sure she's completely found the answer to. She has a few inklings, though, and those are what run through her head as she stares off ... aptly, she thinks, with a wry smile ... into space.
D: Wildcard
((You know the drill. ;D))
A
The Exo saunters on over, offering up a fresh glass of one of many blue concoctions to her. "And who knows, maybe you'll end up too drunk to care." He grins. "Lookin' good, by the way." Who cares if you don't match the venue?
