Party at the Blue Bantha!

WHO: Everyone!
WHERE: The Blue Bantha in Coruscant's entertainment district
WHAT: A party!
WHEN: The last day before they leave.
WARNINGS: Fun times? Probably drunkenness.

After having found this place on an outing with Echo, Obi-Wan had decided he rather liked this one particular establishment they stopped at. So for their last evening on Coruscant, the Jedi had the place rented out. A network post also going up inviting everyone for one last hurrah before they have to go back to Temba.

Welcome to the Blue Bantha Bar and Grill!

Everything is very blue. A bright blue neon sign advertises the joint in the entertainment district. Its letters in Aurebesh with a little bantha head shaped neon light next to it as well. The lighting inside is distinctly blue as well. There is a mounted bantha head placed on the far wall above the bar, its fur having been dyed blue. Clearly it is the mascot of this place.

There are tables and booths in varying locations for people to sit. With the tables having bantha hide rugs under them that look reminiscent of shag carpet, while the booth seats have bantha hide upholstery as well. There's a band playing in one corner with space for people to dance. While on another side there are screens broadcasting sporting events from across the galaxy. Feel free to place bets on who you think will win!

Even the staff are either blue, or are wearing blue. It won't be uncommon to have a blue scantily clad Twi'lek waitress serving you. The long bar also has blue neon lighting with several stools to sit at, in which you can order whatever drink your heart desires on their menu.

Speaking of the menu, everything is made with bantha products. That is what they specialize in. Several types of Jawa Juice, a kind of beer made from fermented grains mashed in bantha hides, can be found here. As well as Bantha Blood Fizz, a sparkling drink made from purified bantha blood in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties. And of course they serve several drinks featuring blue milk, from just the plain stuff to several alcoholic concoctions. There is also food of course! Bantha steak, bantha burgers, bantha stew, and other meat dishes are served as it's pretty much this galaxy's equivalent of beef. You can even get desserts made from blue milk such as cheesecake and ice cream.

Have fun! The Temba group have this establishment all to themselves for the night!

"When you say it that way, it sounds terrible. Months from now, when we're in love, I'll remember you saying you wouldn't marry me," Sansa teases.

When he hands her the mug of tea she blows on it lightly before taking a sip. "I think most problems are solved by tea, yes. At least in the moment."

That makes Kyle's face go beet red. "I. Oh. Uhm." He studies his tea, trying to get his brain to work. "I mean, yeah, I'll look like a real dick then."

He sips his drink, suddenly hyper aware of what a dork he is.

"I didn't mean to embarrass you," Sansa says, suddenly a little concerned she went too far. "It wasn't my intent. You get a free tease if you would like. I won't even come back with anything."

"No, no, it's cool," Kyle rushes to assure her. "It's, fuck, you understand, it's being so friggin pale, the second my face gets hot it's just red. I hate it."

He offers her a smile to show how totally not embarrassed he is, which of course is a massive lie. "As you can guess, I'm a little out of practice talking to people."

"Well, I happen to be very good at conversation. You'll have a reason to practice," Sansa says.

His mention of his feelings showing on his face the moment he has them is something she knows all too well. She can make herself a steel mask, yes, but not if she's embarrassed.

"Our skin is too pale to hide a flush. Even a quick burst of cold air will make my cheeks go red."

"You are," Kyle agrees, smile becoming more natural. "You're really easy to talk to. I'll probably say something weird because of that."

"It's the worst," he says. "But I guess it's just our curse."

"I don't think there's anything strange about speaking your mind. Sometimes things just pop into your head and they come out. Even with me," Sansa says with a quick laugh.

"Besides, it's refreshing to be around someone who isn't guarding their speech around their queen. I like it."

"Lucky for me," he says before sipping his tea.

"I've never been very good about keeping my mouth shut," he admits. "I just tend to get a little over-excited. I think I get it from my mom."

"Sometimes saying what you think is a good thing. Honesty is preferable to deception," Sansa says. "I hold things in, especially back home, because it's the only way to be safe. Being safe is important to me."

"Physically? Or, uh. Emotionally?" Kyle is quick to add, "You don't have to answer, if it's uncomfortable."

"Both," Sansa says. It's not something to tell someone she's only just met but she certainly has had reason to fear for her well-being both emotionally and physically in the past. She sips at her tea for a few long moments before she speaks again. "But it's not like that here for me so it's...better. It makes me a poor queen, perhaps, but I'll just be a poor queen."

"I don't care what kind of queen you are," Kyle says softly.

"I can tell you're a kind woman."

Sansa colors a little and looks into her tea mug. "Well, I try to be kind. Sometimes I fail at that, everyone does, but I do try my best. I try to help out on Agra 10, do what I can do. I had to learn a lot of things - they don't exactly teach queens how to cook - but I like learning. I like finding out new things about new worlds."

Kyle brightens. "I can cook a little. My mom taught me some stuff, before I left home. If we get the stuff to do so, I'll like... make you knishes."

He sips his tea and then says, "My world is pretty boring, but I'd tell you whatever you wanna know."

"You could teach me! I haven't quite figured out how to make lemoncakes myself yet but once I do, I'll make them for you. The baker at Winterfell makes them perfectly and I've never been able to get the knack of it. And yes, tell me about your home. You said it's snowy there too? Like it is where I'm from?"

Sansa finds that intriguing, since no one else has ever mentioned snow like this to her before.

"Cool, we'll recipe swap."

Kyle leans back in his chair a little. "Yeah it was snowy like, nine months out of the year. But it was pretty, even if you could get kinda sick of it after a while. It was a really small town where I grew up, so you knew everyone.

"We have electricity, so lights and stuff like here on the ships. So you could stay inside and be warm really easily. Do you know what movies are?"

"I've seen a few," Sansa says. "Though not enough to make a real opinion. It's so strange to see a play that you can watch over and over again. I've also seen...some of us came from the time of the Fleet, when we were just the ships? Our captors would occasionally trap us in our dreams and play our memories like a movie. Those I didn't enjoy."

Sansa fiddles with her dress a little, looking down. "It felt like violation. It happened on Agra 10 once too. They can't do anything like that where you're from, can they?"

Kyle's face betrays exactly how awful he thinks that is. "That's awful. I'm so sorry that happened to you."

He shakes his head. "I don't think so. If they do, it's certainly not common practice. Movies where I'm from are just entertainment." Sansa, he thinks, has had just about the worst luck imaginable. He kind of wants to hug her again.

"I guess if that sort of stuff can happen here, well. At least we're all in the same boat. None of us really know what's going to happen, or why." He leans over to pat her shoulder. "Hey. You're not alone though, okay?"

Sansa likes Kyle. Perhaps she's only known him for a short while but she really likes him and is quite glad she's met him. When he pats her shoulder she gives him a little smile.

"No, none of us know what is going to happen or why it happens. We persevere. It helps to have good friends along to help, though. Thank you for being my friend today."

Kyle wrinkles his nose and smiles. "Well. Yeah. Ginger solidarity, remember? You and Clarice and I, we'll team up and beat up anybody who makes fun of us when we inevitably get sunburned."

He squeezes her shoulder before he lets go. "And hey, once we get back to Agra we'll do this again! Uh, minus the you getting me out of fighting random guys part."

“Yes, it’ll just be tea when we get back to Agra. If I have to come keep you from fighting again, I shall be very cross,” Sansa teases. “And you wouldn’t want to disappoint me.”

The way she says it, Kyle can't help but think of a British nanny. Mary Poppins maybe.

"I absolutely will not disappoint you," he promises.

"I'd like to see more of you," Sansa says, her voice a bit hopeful. "I do mean that. It's been a while since there's been someone my age to talk to. There's no one back home I can confide in and James doesn't say much other than 'mama'."

"I know what you mean. I don't have a lot of friends back home." Which makes him sound like such a winner.

"But that's okay. I mean, we're here now, right?

"We are," Sansa agrees, smiling at him. She's finished her tea and she rolls the cup between her hands, trying to find a way to extend the conversation even if the purpose of it is now gone.

"I should sleep, shouldn't I? Since he's sleeping?"
