Party at the Blue Bantha!
WHO: Everyone!
WHERE: The Blue Bantha in Coruscant's entertainment district
WHAT: A party!
WHEN: The last day before they leave.
WARNINGS: Fun times? Probably drunkenness.
After having found this place on an outing with Echo, Obi-Wan had decided he rather liked this one particular establishment they stopped at. So for their last evening on Coruscant, the Jedi had the place rented out. A network post also going up inviting everyone for one last hurrah before they have to go back to Temba.
Welcome to the Blue Bantha Bar and Grill!
Everything is very blue. A bright blue neon sign advertises the joint in the entertainment district. Its letters in Aurebesh with a little bantha head shaped neon light next to it as well. The lighting inside is distinctly blue as well. There is a mounted bantha head placed on the far wall above the bar, its fur having been dyed blue. Clearly it is the mascot of this place.
There are tables and booths in varying locations for people to sit. With the tables having bantha hide rugs under them that look reminiscent of shag carpet, while the booth seats have bantha hide upholstery as well. There's a band playing in one corner with space for people to dance. While on another side there are screens broadcasting sporting events from across the galaxy. Feel free to place bets on who you think will win!
Even the staff are either blue, or are wearing blue. It won't be uncommon to have a blue scantily clad Twi'lek waitress serving you. The long bar also has blue neon lighting with several stools to sit at, in which you can order whatever drink your heart desires on their menu.
Speaking of the menu, everything is made with bantha products. That is what they specialize in. Several types of Jawa Juice, a kind of beer made from fermented grains mashed in bantha hides, can be found here. As well as Bantha Blood Fizz, a sparkling drink made from purified bantha blood in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties. And of course they serve several drinks featuring blue milk, from just the plain stuff to several alcoholic concoctions. There is also food of course! Bantha steak, bantha burgers, bantha stew, and other meat dishes are served as it's pretty much this galaxy's equivalent of beef. You can even get desserts made from blue milk such as cheesecake and ice cream.
Have fun! The Temba group have this establishment all to themselves for the night!
((OOC: This is a mingle log so go nuts!))

He pushed a chair out from the table with a nudge of his foot. "I promise it's real simple."
As long as she had a good head for numbers and could learn quickly, that was. Cobb would go easy on her as he'd been going easy on everyone that sat down with him to play.

So, he explained sabaac. The value of the cards and how the rounds worked. How she just had to get twenty-three or close to it by the end of four rounds. It was a simple game, really.
"You got all that?"
no subject
"Arright then," she said with a smile and a glint in her eye that said she appreciated his attitude and would do her best to hold her own. She reached for her purse, which jingled faintly with the credits within. "What's the starting bet for the pots?"
no subject
And since the credits wouldn't be useful come soon, he was tossing in credits based on whatever he felt like tossing in. Usually big groups.
"We can match or raise the bet every round. Winner gets it all in the end." And then they'd play again. At least that was how Cobb's night was going. Just games going back and forth with conversation and spotchka flowing.

She liked how easy this already felt, how comfortable. The chairs leant themselves to leaning back, and she did so, stretching out her legs and crossing her ankles under the table, her long green skirt spreading over the sides of the chair like a waterfall. She took a slow sip of her Jawa juice, smiling and absolutely living in and for the moment.

It was a friendly game. Didn't really matter if they played it perfectly. The point was more about spending a little time with folks before they went back and got to work.
"How'd you find Coruscant? You like it?" He dealt the first hand with casual tosses of the card.

The lowest he'd gone was the Mandalorian enclave and that had been nice. He felt very comfortable there.
"Had a decent time. I'm ready to go back though."

She glanced over her hand, then tossed a few more credits on the pile before sharing her current total.
"Twelve," she said, gesturing for another card.

And when he tried to find a holo of Tatooine or even a map he'd had no luck. Folks here in the Core worlds just didn't give a damn about the Out Rim even nine hundreds years in the past.
"Haven't always been calling totals tonight. Most folks find it strange in a card game." But he appreciated her giving it a try. "Eleven."
no subject
"Arright. So is it normal to call, or am I messin' this up like a leadfoot in a ballet?" She asked with a joking smile, as she waited for her next card.
no subject
It was not a quiet night in this bar. Folks were having a good time and the band was playing at full swing. Cobb didn't think their little game bothered anyone at all.
"A call can tell your hand pretty easily. Folks real good at the game can figure out what combination of cards you have. Takes some of the gambling out of it if you know that."

24. Blast. She kept her face casually neutral as she put the same amount of credits as the last round into the pot.
"Sounds like you've played this just 'bout every way it can be played."
no subject
His eleven was up to a comfortable seventeen now. Since they weren't calling he had no idea where Starling had landed.
"Cayde taught me how to play Blackjack tonight." He glanced around for the Exo and jerked his head in that direction when he spotted him. "It's a game from his world. Seemed really simple but turned out to be a lot of fun."

She thought of how the older kids at the orphanage, the ones who had aged out like her, had played hands and bid each other's chores. The thought had merit in a place like Agra 10 with so much to do.
As for the game at hand, she knew she'd already lost, but at that point, some of the fun was seeing if she could bluff him into losing, too, so both of their bids went into the pot that rolled over into the next game. "Hit me again."
no subject
Cobb dealt again. Oh, inching close to twenty-three with a nice twenty for his hand. He wasn't sure where Starling was. She was real good at hiding her expressions.
"You should teach me this poker. It'll keep things interesting in Temba playin' new games." He could also teach chance cubes and sand ball if they all got real bored. He felt he'd be too busy for games for awhile once they got back.
