Party at the Blue Bantha!

WHO: Everyone!
WHERE: The Blue Bantha in Coruscant's entertainment district
WHAT: A party!
WHEN: The last day before they leave.
WARNINGS: Fun times? Probably drunkenness.

After having found this place on an outing with Echo, Obi-Wan had decided he rather liked this one particular establishment they stopped at. So for their last evening on Coruscant, the Jedi had the place rented out. A network post also going up inviting everyone for one last hurrah before they have to go back to Temba.

Welcome to the Blue Bantha Bar and Grill!

Everything is very blue. A bright blue neon sign advertises the joint in the entertainment district. Its letters in Aurebesh with a little bantha head shaped neon light next to it as well. The lighting inside is distinctly blue as well. There is a mounted bantha head placed on the far wall above the bar, its fur having been dyed blue. Clearly it is the mascot of this place.

There are tables and booths in varying locations for people to sit. With the tables having bantha hide rugs under them that look reminiscent of shag carpet, while the booth seats have bantha hide upholstery as well. There's a band playing in one corner with space for people to dance. While on another side there are screens broadcasting sporting events from across the galaxy. Feel free to place bets on who you think will win!

Even the staff are either blue, or are wearing blue. It won't be uncommon to have a blue scantily clad Twi'lek waitress serving you. The long bar also has blue neon lighting with several stools to sit at, in which you can order whatever drink your heart desires on their menu.

Speaking of the menu, everything is made with bantha products. That is what they specialize in. Several types of Jawa Juice, a kind of beer made from fermented grains mashed in bantha hides, can be found here. As well as Bantha Blood Fizz, a sparkling drink made from purified bantha blood in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties. And of course they serve several drinks featuring blue milk, from just the plain stuff to several alcoholic concoctions. There is also food of course! Bantha steak, bantha burgers, bantha stew, and other meat dishes are served as it's pretty much this galaxy's equivalent of beef. You can even get desserts made from blue milk such as cheesecake and ice cream.

Have fun! The Temba group have this establishment all to themselves for the night!

((OOC: This is a mingle log so go nuts!))

There's still that low roil of strange emotion in his chest. But for now, he's not wanting to touch on it. He's a Mandalorian. He's faced crazy and scary situations before, including the krayt dragon, and come out of them like they were no big deal. But this? This felt different. It's strange and a little scary, even if part of him knows it shouldn't be. It's something he both wants to see it out, yet at the same time doesn't.

"You did good. Can't wait to use it." And he means it. Even if it hadn't fit well, Din would have found some way to use it. It had meaning behind it, in more ways than one. With the addition of the knife, the sheath looked whole and amazing. A puzzle that had been missing that last critical piece. He's going to have to find the right spot for it on his armor. One hand trails over the fine craftmanship, and the symbol again. Part of him really wants to take a glove off, to feel the texture of the leather on his fingers. But in a bar isn't the place, maybe he would later. For now, he's content to let it rest on the table in front of him. He leans back in his seat once again, giving a glance Grogu's way to make sure the kid's still fine, before he turns back to Cobb at his question, helm naturally tilting toward him.

"I am." Coruscant is a...nice planet. It provided basically everything they would need when they went back to Agra-10. But give him the wide open spaces of the Outer Rim worlds any day. Being down in the underground with the Mandalorians, had felt like being in the Covert on Nevarro once again. It felt like home. "I won't forget them, they were generous." Miniscule as it is under his armor, he could feel the weight of the pendant against his chest, a comforting sort of weight.

"Thank you...for helping taking those supplies down to them." Because of course it had fallen on him to take them down. He hadn't been sure the Mandalorians would appreciate a bunch of strangers showing up at the enclave, and he'd recruited Cobb, because thy knew and accepted him as Din's partner.

Well, shit. Cobb takes another drink to cover the rush of emotion in his chest. There's something about Din not just thanking him but saying it was good that touched off... something. Happiness. Contentment. A little bit of pride. It was a jumble of things that rounded off to good. It was a good feeling.

He'd tuck that feeling away for another time. Maybe the next time he felt like nothing and couldn't stop rubbing the back of his neck he'd think of this instead.

"Of course," he said, clearing his throat a little just to dislodge those last little bits of emotion. "I can't help my people in this time but I can help yours. That's worth doing."

Marker, if he could've sent to Mos Pelgo all the things he could buy here with Agrii credits the town wouldn't have to worry about a damn thing. He couldn't help thinking about it while he loaded and unloaded crates. Finally, all the supplies in the galaxy and his people couldn't benefit.

"Did you know the woman that organized all that is a Senator?" Cobb said the word like some folks might say bug. That little piece of knowledge was still rattling around in his head and bothering him. "She was real helpful. Never gotten that from a politician before. Not without bribing 'em first."

A politician that was genuinely nice... it didn't fit in Cobb's brain.

If Din knew his thoughts about feeling like nothing. You can never be a nothing, when you do the right thing, and are willing to do anything to protect those you care about. Like an entire town. Even if he doesn't know it, Din would be glad to know his simple words would help Cobb in some way, and lift him up. He can only guess at Cobb's past, but after living the hard life on Tatooine, Cobb deserved better.

There's a nod of the helmet in understanding. Part of him gets it. "I know you would help your people. If you could." Something he saw back when they were trying to get the town to work with the Sand people. The man put the town, and it's people, above everything else. It's a sign of a good man. "Would Mos Pelgo exist, this far back?" He's wondering. He knows most of the places on Tatooine have been around for a long time. Mos Eisley and Mos Espa especially.

The comment about Padme takes him aback a little, and the helmet jerks up with what might be a soft sound of surprise. "Her? A senator?" Yeah there's a bit of disbelief in his tone. "No. Most politicians don't care. Other than passing new laws." He pauses a moment. "Yet also helped the Mandalorians." He's pretty sure most senators prefer not to deal with his kind. Much less offer them supplies.

"Uh, maybe? I know it was settled before the Clone Wars but I don't know if it was this far back." Cobb didn't know his own planet's history in detail. He could give sweeping generalizations. Even for Mos Pelgo and he'd lived there for awhile now. "Tatooine is definitely settled by now. Mos Espa at least."

Because before Mos Eisley claimed the most 'civilized' place on Tatooine it used to be Mos Espa where Cobb was born. It had still been pretty big growing up.

He shrugged a shoulder. "Yeah, Echo told me. She never mentioned it when I helped her. Never met a politician that doesn't brag either." His views were all skewed to the Tatooine style of politics which was mostly criminals pretending to be politicians. He rather hated them. "I know he's not lyin' to me but I struggle to believe it."

Who could be a politician and stay kind? Cobb didn't believe it.

"I know Mos Espa and Eisley have been around a long while. But not how long." At least from where he's been told, during his times spent on the planet. But aside from the Tusken Raiders, he never really looked that deep into the planet's history. He knew much of it was corrupt, though.

Tatooine was never that great of a planet. But it was always a good place to find bounties. Or at least it was, when the guild operated out of it. His helmet tilts and turns a little toward Cobb, as he listens about Padme.

"Not to me either." Din's a little more...indifferent to politicians. But he still thought most of them in the New Republic were a joke. Like most of them, they didn't really care about the Outer Rim worlds that much. Even if they were willing to set up new space lane laws in the Rim. Their 'help' didn't seem to go beyond that.

"She almost seems...too nice. Yet she asked for nothing in return." It's both a nice change, and a little suspicious.

It was rather reassuring that Din didn't know Tatooine's history either. Cobb often felt out of place and frustrated by some of the folks in their galaxy who seemed to know every detail of galactic history and expected him to know it as well. He doesn't feel like Din's going to look at him sideways for not knowing something. It's comforting.

"She hasn't asked for anything yet." Cobb felt a little bad for being so suspicious. The woman had been very kind and just gave birth. He should be a little kinder, probably but he can't help it. No politician has ever been good. There's got to be something about her.

He nodded his chin towards her in the crowd, once again around the Jedi Obi-Wan. "That's somethin'. She asked for him when she went into labor. I don't know if askin' him will get me more information or more questions."

Now, he could ask Padme but he would always look at her answers with a 'yeah, but..." the Jedi had been honest with him. He figured that would continue. "I don't think she's dangerous but I don't want someone who's gonna play games with folks when we get back makin' trouble."

Besides recent history, Din didn't know much of the universe's history, and really for years it didn't really matter. Still kind of doesn't. Some how that included history of Mandalorians. Now being in Temba, and having people from their universe, that seemed to know more about them than him, was kind of annoying. One upside of this whole trip, is he at least knows a bit more of Mandalorian history. Even if it's history from nine hundred years ago. Still, having someone like Cobb, that knows about as much as he does, is a nice change.

There's a soft thoughtful sound, as he tilts his helm to turn his gaze to watching the senator and Jedi.

"They do seem to of known each other for some time." How long, he didn't know. Din trusted Obi-wan, there had to be trust there to even let the guy train Grogu, after all. But it didn't hurt that Grogu trusted him too, which mattered to Din. "Could be worth asking him. Find out more about her." He gives a nod of agreement about not wanting trouble. "I can ask him. Once we get back to Temba." Because a party wasn't the place to possibly cause issues.

"I'll probably do the same."

Obi-wan's easy to talk to. Cobb figures with a little smile and gentle questioning he'd get a lot of information out of the man. Yeah, he felt a little guilty taking advantage of the trust the other man had in him but... he had to make sure no one would take over this little group.

Under the table Cobb knocked his knee against Din's to get the man's attention back on him. "I'm gonna get movin' on fixing up a place to live when we get back. I know you're pretty much a spacer but if you ever want somethin' for you and the kid let me know."

He figured Din would stay on his ship and Grogu would go between him and the Jedi but there was nothing wrong with offering.
