WHERE: The Blue Bantha in Coruscant's entertainment district
WHAT: A party!
WHEN: The last day before they leave.
WARNINGS: Fun times? Probably drunkenness.

After having found this place on an outing with Echo, Obi-Wan had decided he rather liked this one particular establishment they stopped at. So for their last evening on Coruscant, the Jedi had the place rented out. A network post also going up inviting everyone for one last hurrah before they have to go back to Temba.

Welcome to the Blue Bantha Bar and Grill!

Everything is very blue. A bright blue neon sign advertises the joint in the entertainment district. Its letters in Aurebesh with a little bantha head shaped neon light next to it as well. The lighting inside is distinctly blue as well. There is a mounted bantha head placed on the far wall above the bar, its fur having been dyed blue. Clearly it is the mascot of this place.

There are tables and booths in varying locations for people to sit. With the tables having bantha hide rugs under them that look reminiscent of shag carpet, while the booth seats have bantha hide upholstery as well. There's a band playing in one corner with space for people to dance. While on another side there are screens broadcasting sporting events from across the galaxy. Feel free to place bets on who you think will win!

Even the staff are either blue, or are wearing blue. It won't be uncommon to have a blue scantily clad Twi'lek waitress serving you. The long bar also has blue neon lighting with several stools to sit at, in which you can order whatever drink your heart desires on their menu.

Speaking of the menu, everything is made with bantha products. That is what they specialize in. Several types of Jawa Juice, a kind of beer made from fermented grains mashed in bantha hides, can be found here. As well as Bantha Blood Fizz, a sparkling drink made from purified bantha blood in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties. And of course they serve several drinks featuring blue milk, from just the plain stuff to several alcoholic concoctions. There is also food of course! Bantha steak, bantha burgers, bantha stew, and other meat dishes are served as it's pretty much this galaxy's equivalent of beef. You can even get desserts made from blue milk such as cheesecake and ice cream.

Ezra, fully Jedi-ed up for the evening, lighsaber and all, wanders over, while the deck is being shuffled.

"A completely friendly game, tonight, right? I've watched a few games before. Never really played."

"Well, we're gambling." Cobb tipped his head towards the pile of credits on the table. "But no one's going to start throwing punches. You can come play if you want."

Just like when anyone else wandered over looking unsure Cobb nudged a chair out with his foot to encourage Ezra to sit.

"Lookin' real sharp, kid."

Well, the credits won't be of much use to them for very long now, will they? Same difference, as far as Ezra's concerned.

"Thanks, Vanth," he replies, beaming while he takes a seat in the chair. "It's different. Definitely don't plan on getting rid of the rest of my clothing."

"Oh yeah, I kept everything. Not gonna waste good clothes just because I got some new stuff." Cobb knew he liked Ezra for a reason. He had that Outer Rim sensibility.

He went through an explanation of how to play sabaac and the value of the cards. It's a practiced explanation. He's done this a lot tonight.

"You got it?"

Ezra watches carefully and nods. Math and patterns? Those he picks up on pretty quickly.

"Got it. Let's do this."

"You ready to go back, kid?" he asked as he dealt the first hand. Cobb's hand hovered right at a nice sixteen. Pretty easy hand to bring up or shift down if needed.

Ezra had a place here with the Jedi temple at all. It must be hard to walk away from all that, especially when there was no choice. He just had to leave. Made it hard.

Cobb was familiar with the sensation even if he didn't like it here on Coruscant.

Ezra peers at his cards. Not much to with a total of twelve but ask for another card.

"Kinda?" he hazards. "Don't get me wrong, seeing the Temple in particular has been wonderful. But one of the things I've been learning is there are all kinds of ways to be a Jedi. Some stay in Temple all of the time. Some prefer being out in the galaxy and only come home when they're called back. Or, coming and going in all varieties. So - I wish we could come back sometime, but I'm about ready to be out and doing."

"Jedi training as been slow?" He thought they were really busy in the temple. It kept Grogu away from Din for a long time. If they were just sitting around it felt like a wasted trip.

Of course, he knew nothing about Jedi training.

"Gonna get to work when we get back. I gotta get off my ship." Before he caved his head in on a pipe.

"Not slow exactly. A lot of reading and talking and thinking and sorting through feelings. A little sparring," he adds with a quick grin. "All things I need to know how to do. But - they're Jedi born and raised under a Republic without galaxy wide conflict in recent memory or on the horizon. I'm not."

Cobb made a face. Sorting through feelings? What did that have to do with being a Jedi? But he didn't ask because honestly, Cobb did not care. He'd never be a Jedi. He'd never feel the Force.

Din's Creed made more sense and held more appeal for Cobb.

"Did you tell any of them about what's coming?" Was that allowed? Folks probably wouldn't believe them but maybe they should warn about the Empire. It wasn't good.

Ezra can't quite tell which part of what he said resulted in that face. Just that something about how he described training didn't sit right with Cobb.

"I'm leaving that in Master Kenobi's hands," he says with a sigh, because the Jedi Master hadn't told him what he'd decided. "We talked about it. He knows he sort of the warning they're most likely to listen to wisely."

There's only so much good quiet contemplation can do. Cobb just didn't see how thinking about things protected anyone but he wasn't a Jedi. There might be some mystery in the Force he was missing.

"I hope he does it." No Empire wouldn't change much of his early life but Cobb had to wonder if no Empire later could've changed things for him. Maybe freedom sooner in life. Maybe freedom for everyone.

"We talked about a warning that the Sith aren't completely gone. He seemed to be seriously considering it. Maybe that'll be enough. Or - maybe time doesn't work like that. I don't know."

He scowls down at his cards, pondering that in between place that had been part of the temple at Lothal. He hasn't found anything about it in the Archives, although maybe that's just his limited access. Still, it boggles him, the idea that the Jedi maybe once knew so much more about how the cosmos works, and somehow the knowledge was lost.

"Should do it anyway. If it changes things the galaxy gets a whole lot better." Maybe. Cobb was a slave born during the Republic. It hadn't done a damn thing to free Tatooine. Maybe it would only change the Core worlds. Maybe the Outer Rim would be forgotten again.

But there was a chance to make things better and they should try. It could, maybe, just maybe, change the lives of thousands suffering.

Maybe change his. "Only way to find out is to leave the message and see what happens."
