Night at the Museum (OTA)
WHO: Kyle Broflovski and YOU!
WHERE: The Underground of Coruscant (Level 4)
WHAT: A very wholesome field trip to the lost Galactic Museum.
WHEN: During the event. (Mid-ish?)
WARNINGS: The foulest of language. Injury extremely likely. More as needed.
Kyle's seen aliens before.
A group of them from the Jannex Galaxy, a spaceship full of greys, the Marklar, and Jeff Bezos. This is the first time he's seen quite so many different kinds in one place, but even so it doesn't take him long to feel comfortable enough to talk to a few of them at the Senate Tour that Obi-Wan had suggested he take. One of these friendly aliens had mentioned in passing that it was a pity that the Galactic Museum could no longer be toured, due to it having been lost and forgotten somewhere down on Level 4.
A lost museum seems to Kyle like exactly the sort of thing the Agrii would want them to find. And even if not, well. Kyle really likes museums.
Is it difficult to get to Level 4? Oh, yes. And extremely dangerous. This doesn't deter Kyle one bit, and so he puts out a call on the Network to let people know that hey, he's putting together a museum field trip and anybody is welcome to come! Provided, that is, that you don't mind finding your way down through huge portals/ventilation shafts into a world where sunlight is less than a memory and dangerous people and creatures lurk around every corner.
But hey, if you decide to come down, you'll find a too-tall ginger waiting for you with some flashlights and a notepad.
You bet your ass he's going to force you to use the Buddy System.

[OOC: Feel free to skip straight to the Museum proper of course! Mingle away, create your own TLs, whatever!]

"What's the notes for, dude?" he asks, tucking it into a pocket. "Please tell me there's not a quiz later. That's only cool if I'm getting prizes for acing them."
no subject
"I figured this way I could take notes, or sketch things out, or whatever. I have no idea what the fuck is down here, dude, we might discover like... knowledge that's been lost for centuries." He looks way too excited by this prospect.
"So. We just need to find it. Oh, uh, and I guess there's a lot of giant rats or some shit down here, so, uh. Don't get bit by anything, okay?"
no subject
"I don't think it was lost, just misplaced. "Dude, giant rats aren't as bad as giant spiders. Promise."
Still, this is pretty interesting for now.
no subject
He puts a hand on Tommy's arm and looks at him very seriously. "Dude. You're my buddy, okay? So I won't leave this place without you. We stick together.
"I don't actually know if it's giant rats, exactly. The guy with a tube for a face just said there was a lot of 'vermin' down here."

"But I mean, at least you've got some practice. Have you been here before? Like, I understand it's a Jedi place and everything."
no subject
Time travel makes tenses wierd.
"Stormed and most of the Order killed...um. The day before I was born, actually. In my time, it's where the Emperor lives. Not just Coruscant, I mean. He converted the Temple to his Palace, because that's the kind of sleemo he is."
no subject
He points at his communicator. "Okay, Tommy's made us all a map based on his scouting, so we at least know how to get to the museum. Can you think of anything that we should be looking for once we get there? I realise it's probably like, long gone in your time, but I guess if you remember any stories or anything."

"Hello, Kyle." Jon greets with an easy smile and a little wave of his free hand.
no subject
"Tommy scouted ahead already, so we've got a map that he drew," he tells him happily. "So we won't get lost. And he didn't see anything that looked like it was gonna eat us." It is an alien underground, after all. There could be giant cockroaches or something.
"Okay, so, like, we're all gonna stick together in a group, but if you HAVE to go off someplace, you gotta take a buddy." he says this last loud enough for everybody to hear. "Nobody wanders off alone, that's how you wind up killed in a horror movie."
He turns back to Jon. "You stoked? I'm stoked. We should head out. The guy I heard about this place from? He said there was at some point artifacts from thousands of different cultures! Thousands! Can you imagine?"
no subject
Though Jon does raise a brow upon being told he needs to take a... Buddy along should he decide to split off of the group. Oh, clearly that doesn't count for him. He's too old for that sort of thing.
"Given that they are basically on open display, I will assume those artifacts are at least harmless and won't curse anyone of us." Jon remarks somewhat off-handedly, refraining from commenting on the entire buddy thing and then turns his head to look around. "Since you have the map, I will let you lead the way, Kyle."
no subject
The group moves through the tunnels, following the map Tommy has drawn. Kyle at one point can be clearly seen arguing with Tommy, but one they reach the museum and enter he falls back beside Jon.
"Dude," he says softly.
The lobby is huge. It's dark and filthy, but the former majesty of it is still apparent. Different halls branch off in every direction.
"Okay, I'm serious about the buddy system, you guys!" Kyle says loudly. He looks at Jon.
"Where should we even start?"

"You're aren't kidding," is all he says when Kyle enforces the use of the Buddy System. Not that he has a problem with it; he's used to teaming up with other soldiers, so this shouldn't be any different.
no subject
"This way no man gets left behind. Or woman. Or nonbinary person. You know what I mean. Anyway, hi!"
no subject
Echo's brow knits. "Can't get any clearer than that," he agrees with a nod. "Hi. My name's Echo. And what's the plan?"
no subject
"Okay, well, Tommy scouted ahead and made us a map, so we can head out. We've got flashlights and water and stuff, so as long as we don't get attacked by monsters, we should reach the museum pretty fast.
"Do you know anything about this planet?"

A museum trip? Not necessarily his idea of a fun time, but he's heard that the lower you head in this crazy place, the more dangerous it can be. And that sounds fun. It's for that reason that the teenage turtle makes the meeting point. Dangerous people, darkness and creatures lurking- sounds like his sort of place!
"'sup! We doin' this?"
no subject
But, look. Kyle is a modern kinda guy, he's not going to discriminate against turtles. Not when there's learning to be done! Also he grew up alongside a sentient towel and they ARE currently on an alien planet, so it's best to just roll with these things.
"Hey, dude!" Kyle waves. He's got a notepad, and it's clear he'd love a clipboard.
"We are totally doing this. Tommy has made us a map, so we can roll out AFTER you agree that we're all staying in a group, but if we have to slip off, you go with a buddy. Deal?"
no subject
He rolls his eyes. If this is this guy's way of saying they needed someone to look out for them then that's fine by the turtle. He'd rather stick with people at least somewhat familiar anyway. "Ugh, okay fine," he mutters, waving a hand,

Among the Ruins: The Galactic Museum
You should probably stick with a buddy still, though. It's very dark down here...

"This is like the Space Smithsonian," she says softly, the tiniest hint of a smile playing on her face. "If it's like any museum worth its salt, there's gotta be some kind of a map here somewhere..."
