Night at the Museum (OTA)
WHO: Kyle Broflovski and YOU!
WHERE: The Underground of Coruscant (Level 4)
WHAT: A very wholesome field trip to the lost Galactic Museum.
WHEN: During the event. (Mid-ish?)
WARNINGS: The foulest of language. Injury extremely likely. More as needed.
Kyle's seen aliens before.
A group of them from the Jannex Galaxy, a spaceship full of greys, the Marklar, and Jeff Bezos. This is the first time he's seen quite so many different kinds in one place, but even so it doesn't take him long to feel comfortable enough to talk to a few of them at the Senate Tour that Obi-Wan had suggested he take. One of these friendly aliens had mentioned in passing that it was a pity that the Galactic Museum could no longer be toured, due to it having been lost and forgotten somewhere down on Level 4.
A lost museum seems to Kyle like exactly the sort of thing the Agrii would want them to find. And even if not, well. Kyle really likes museums.
Is it difficult to get to Level 4? Oh, yes. And extremely dangerous. This doesn't deter Kyle one bit, and so he puts out a call on the Network to let people know that hey, he's putting together a museum field trip and anybody is welcome to come! Provided, that is, that you don't mind finding your way down through huge portals/ventilation shafts into a world where sunlight is less than a memory and dangerous people and creatures lurk around every corner.
But hey, if you decide to come down, you'll find a too-tall ginger waiting for you with some flashlights and a notepad.
You bet your ass he's going to force you to use the Buddy System.

[OOC: Feel free to skip straight to the Museum proper of course! Mingle away, create your own TLs, whatever!]

"What's the notes for, dude?" he asks, tucking it into a pocket. "Please tell me there's not a quiz later. That's only cool if I'm getting prizes for acing them."
no subject
"I figured this way I could take notes, or sketch things out, or whatever. I have no idea what the fuck is down here, dude, we might discover like... knowledge that's been lost for centuries." He looks way too excited by this prospect.
"So. We just need to find it. Oh, uh, and I guess there's a lot of giant rats or some shit down here, so, uh. Don't get bit by anything, okay?"
no subject
"I don't think it was lost, just misplaced. "Dude, giant rats aren't as bad as giant spiders. Promise."
Still, this is pretty interesting for now.
no subject
He puts a hand on Tommy's arm and looks at him very seriously. "Dude. You're my buddy, okay? So I won't leave this place without you. We stick together.
"I don't actually know if it's giant rats, exactly. The guy with a tube for a face just said there was a lot of 'vermin' down here."
no subject
"You don't have to be that serious. I'm not letting anyone get left behind here. I'll get you all out if it's a mess."
He promised to make this all turn out nice and exciting but safe.
"Tube for a face?"
no subject
He shrugs and shines his flashlight around a little, checking the place out. It really is extremely dark, with none of the artificial lights of the higher levels. It smells like wet rot. "Yeah. Some dude I was on a tour with at the Senate building. Hey, you run faster that jets, right?"
no subject
He smirks at Kyle, unable to help his amusement.
no subject
He tries to hide a grin and fails. "But, okay, it's just scouting, okay? Like if you're gone longer than, say... a minute, then we come after you. This is just so we don't wind up looking for the fucking thing for three days."
no subject
"Make it two minutes. Give me something to write on. I'll mark what tunnels or whatever are passable. If I go missing, message Billy, tell him to fetch me."
Because his brother could do it with a thought.
no subject
"Two minutes. And you took a notebook, you jackass." He does, however, hand over a pen. "Okay. Ready? Set?"
no subject
"Yeah, I know," Tommy says as he takes the pen. He takes a moment to stretch, and then he's gone. It takes a while to gather up some information, rushing through the twists and turns for a distance before coming back, panting a bit.
"Damn, man, this place is a fucking twist and turn to such levels. Fucking hell," he says, sitting down and passing over the paper before taking a long drink from a bottle of water. "I found something I think will lead there. Just didn't want you calling B up."
no subject
"Yeah," Kyle says happily as he takes the paper and studies it. "I was five seconds away from doing it, too. Dude, this is awesome. You're amazing."
no subject
"I'll need to do another delve, deeper. I'll need three minutes I think. You cool with that?"
no subject
Kyle considers this, torn between wanting to know more and his general anxiety over Tommy getting injured. Curiosity, as usual, wins out.
"Three," he agrees. "But then that's it until we all move further together."
no subject
"I don't want to move you all forward if I'm moving you in a bad direction," Tommy counters, mindful of the possibility that he could lead them somewhere that they could get hurt. But for now he sighs and finishes his drink.
"Be right back."
And then he's off again to explore. Good news, he'll be back in less than three minutes this time, only two and a half. And he's grinning triumphantly.
no subject
And then Tommy is gone again, leaving only a rush of wind in his wake. There's another as he returns, and Kyle steels himself against it as best as he can from the grit it kicks up. He sees Tommy's grin and he finds himself grinning back in response before he can even say anything.
"You found it!"
no subject
He moves to the wall and starts sketching the directions to their destination on it. Then takes a picture of it with his communicator and pins that in the group chat for the 'field trip'

Kyle just seemed to put value in this, so he guessed it was valuable? Was that how it worked? Sure, why not.
"You get to lead on when you're ready.
no subject
He sighs a little. "Okay. Well. So long as everyone has a buddy..."
no subject
"So you like things big. Ouch, short guys are just doomed."
no subject
"I. Wait. Did you just call me a size queen?! Jesus, Tommy!" He huffs and stomps off to corral everyone into a group, explaining that nobody goes off alone, always have a buddy. Only then does he declare, "Okay! Let's roll out!" in a voice that seems to imply that he might have spent a summer or two as a camp counselor or something.
He does wind up walking by Tommy as they move along the tunnels. "And I am not. For the record."
no subject
It's the second time that Kyle brings it up that Tommy launches his shot.
"Nah, my brother's the size queen. Have you seen his guy? But yeah, maybe you are a little."
no subject
He has, however, met Lauri-Ell. She's huge. It would stand to reason the royalty she protects would be equally massive. Billy has to be the same size as Tommy and no he is not going to consider this further, thank you.
"I am not! How the fuck would you even get that idea? If I like anything huge, it's brains."
no subject
"It's okay, once you've seen me, you've seen the hot twin. And I have a brain-to-mouth future. But really, I have to wait SO MANY nanoseconds between when I'm thinking things and when someone will hear it so it seems so silly to waste the time with the filter when I can say what I really want."
He continues walking, clearly working SO HARD to keep at a human pace. Boring shit here, going slow when he's properly fed for a change.
"Well then, you're unlucky. There aren't a lot of big brains on Agra 10."
