Night at the Museum (OTA)
WHO: Kyle Broflovski and YOU!
WHERE: The Underground of Coruscant (Level 4)
WHAT: A very wholesome field trip to the lost Galactic Museum.
WHEN: During the event. (Mid-ish?)
WARNINGS: The foulest of language. Injury extremely likely. More as needed.
Kyle's seen aliens before.
A group of them from the Jannex Galaxy, a spaceship full of greys, the Marklar, and Jeff Bezos. This is the first time he's seen quite so many different kinds in one place, but even so it doesn't take him long to feel comfortable enough to talk to a few of them at the Senate Tour that Obi-Wan had suggested he take. One of these friendly aliens had mentioned in passing that it was a pity that the Galactic Museum could no longer be toured, due to it having been lost and forgotten somewhere down on Level 4.
A lost museum seems to Kyle like exactly the sort of thing the Agrii would want them to find. And even if not, well. Kyle really likes museums.
Is it difficult to get to Level 4? Oh, yes. And extremely dangerous. This doesn't deter Kyle one bit, and so he puts out a call on the Network to let people know that hey, he's putting together a museum field trip and anybody is welcome to come! Provided, that is, that you don't mind finding your way down through huge portals/ventilation shafts into a world where sunlight is less than a memory and dangerous people and creatures lurk around every corner.
But hey, if you decide to come down, you'll find a too-tall ginger waiting for you with some flashlights and a notepad.
You bet your ass he's going to force you to use the Buddy System.

[OOC: Feel free to skip straight to the Museum proper of course! Mingle away, create your own TLs, whatever!]

He spreads a hand in a half shrug. "My guess is it'll take investigation, and data analysis, building things, and other stuff I don't know the first thing about, to figure out what's causing the storms and stop them . If it turns out they're coming from something intentional, maybe some fighting. But yeah, maybe an aspect of how Jedi see the Force is something we need to keep in mind. Balance? Connections that can't be...measured?"
no subject
"Like there's an almost... metaphysical component. Or. Okay, on earth? Some people have this idea that like, everything on the planet is part of the system, like we're all microorganisms on a living breathing THING, not just like... humans are the dominant species, right, and we always kinda act like everything was made for us to exploit. But this theory is like, nah, you're just like little bugs that have started working against the whole's greater interests because you've forgotten you're not in charge.
Maybe the Force lets you guys see that better. And maybe Agra was like earth, you know? Maybe the Agrii fucked it up so hardcore the planet was like, 'ah, screw you guys, you can't stay here anymore.' I dunno, I'm just thinking out loud."

He pauses. "Except, that's not true. A little before I ended up Agra, I went back home after being gone for a couple of years. The Empire had been busy strip mining, building factories, burning what was left of the forests. It was bad enough you could see the destruction from space. At any rate, not long after I'd gotten back to Lothal, a pack of lothwolves found me. Turns out, they're really smart, and had been careful to avoid people. Like, before the Empire, things had slowly changed while more settlers had spread out, and they'd figured out how to survive. This was different. And the Empire was after messing with a Jedi temple site. The wolves were upset about all it. Not that they cared about sides, really. What you called the political stuff. They just knew the planet as a whole as in trouble and that I could communicate with them, and we could help each other."

"Can you talk to the animals on Agra?" He's thinking of the Glownies.
no subject
"I can..feel the animals on Agra, sometimes connect enough for them to feel me? Kinda get something like a conversation going with the glownies, but with emotion and sensation, not words. The lothwolves had been watching people for a long, long time. They did know some words."
no subject
The concept of animals with intellect isn't entirely foreign, and he's also not surprised that glownies aren't the smartest animals around. "They probably had big brains, like cetaceans on my world. Which are, uhm, aquatic mammals."
no subject
"You said you're from a planet called Earth? Mr. Sims said he's from Earth, too."
no subject
He shrugs, smiling a little. "It's weird. But I'm used to weird. Okay, so, maybe a dumb question but can you fight?"
no subject
"And sure. I can fight. Lightsaber. Blaster. Piloting a fighter. Hand to hand not quite a well." Although, the Force helps with that. "Why?"
no subject
"Just keeping track. If we wind up splitting up it would be dumb to put all the badasses together. And you sound like a badass."
no subject
"Oh! Yeah. That makes sense. Yeah, stick me with someone who hasn't really been in combat, sure."
no subject
"Like I've been shot at and crap, but I've never been in a war."

Kyle shrugs. "Police, FBI, army dudes, hunters... I guess I just have a knack for getting into trouble." This is an incredible understatement.
no subject
"And a lot of people in your government who like to shoot first, ask questions later?"
no subject
"Most of them, yeah. Yours?"
no subject
no subject
"I feel like you guys are just living problems on a way bigger scale. With more like... Force magic stuff."
no subject
"Yeah, he has Force powers, but I'm not sure how much he used them to get the political power versus his philosophy about the Force being motivation for making for the power grab?"
no subject
Kyle kicks at some debris. "Sounds like the Force itself is neutral. So this dude was just justifying his own desires."
no subject
He sighs. "Do the best we can, I guess. Even if people are pretty flawed."
no subject
"Yeah. But, I mean, hey! We've got to build our own little society on Agra, right? So we'll just do it better!"

He holds out his empty hand that way. A second later, it floats off the ground and drifts up and towards his hand. "What's natural?"
