Night at the Museum (OTA)

WHO: Kyle Broflovski and YOU!
WHERE: The Underground of Coruscant (Level 4)
WHAT: A very wholesome field trip to the lost Galactic Museum.
WHEN: During the event. (Mid-ish?)
WARNINGS: The foulest of language. Injury extremely likely. More as needed.



Kyle's seen aliens before.

A group of them from the Jannex Galaxy, a spaceship full of greys, the Marklar, and Jeff Bezos. This is the first time he's seen quite so many different kinds in one place, but even so it doesn't take him long to feel comfortable enough to talk to a few of them at the Senate Tour that Obi-Wan had suggested he take. One of these friendly aliens had mentioned in passing that it was a pity that the Galactic Museum could no longer be toured, due to it having been lost and forgotten somewhere down on Level 4.

A lost museum seems to Kyle like exactly the sort of thing the Agrii would want them to find. And even if not, well. Kyle really likes museums.

Is it difficult to get to Level 4? Oh, yes. And extremely dangerous. This doesn't deter Kyle one bit, and so he puts out a call on the Network to let people know that hey, he's putting together a museum field trip and anybody is welcome to come! Provided, that is, that you don't mind finding your way down through huge portals/ventilation shafts into a world where sunlight is less than a memory and dangerous people and creatures lurk around every corner.

But hey, if you decide to come down, you'll find a too-tall ginger waiting for you with some flashlights and a notepad.

You bet your ass he's going to force you to use the Buddy System.

"Who's that, your girlfriend or something?" He kicks a rock and mutters, "I don't have a jetpack..."

Kyle sighs. "Sure. So. You're basically psychic and telekinetic. That's admittedly cool, dude, I'm just feeling kinda weak in comparison."

Ezra makes a face. "Ok, I had a tiny crush on Sabine when we first met. I was fourteen, and she just...pulled off her helmet, her hair was amazing, and my entire brain went wow." He makes wavy motions with his fingers, to demonstrate the mental explosion for younger him. "But I'm over it. We're like...foster siblings now."

Then he sighs. "Look. Kyle. I can't even out the powers thing. I can teach you how to physically fight, if you want to learn some of that. But maybe the most important thing I've ever done? Maybe ever will do? I learned how from my parents. They didn't have super powers. They just used their voices and technical skills, and hijacked the Empire's broadcast signal, to tell people to stand up together."

Kyle's lips twitch in a smile. Yeah, okay, he understands that feeling entirely too well. "There's a whole genre of porn about that, dude," he points out, but he clearly understands.

He scrubs his hand over his face. "Yeah," he says. "I get it. I'm not trying to bitch, seriously. It's just... you gotta understand, as of a few weeks ago I was just hanging out in my dorm room worried about final exams, not trying to help save an alien race or whatever. So it's a shock. And then literally everyone else around you has some sort of... thing. I'm sorry, dude, I was being a prick.

"And I can fight. Sorta."

Ezra just rolls his eyes about the porn comment.

"Studying for final exams," he echoes, thoughtfully. "Yeah, I guess that's what I should have been doing, in a nicer timeline. Is if funny that sounds kind of scary to me? University."

"I don't think it's funny," Kyle admits. "It's just a different kind of terrifying. For what it's worth, I think you'd do great. You're obviously smart and hard working, and you're really friendly so you'd make a bunch of friends."

Ezra laughs. "Thanks. Maybe if I ever got back home, I give it a go."

"You totally should. But I guess in the meantime we're here, so we might as well just do the best we can to figure shit out, right?"
