WHO: Kyle Broflovski and YOU!
WHERE: The Underground of Coruscant (Level 4)
WHAT: A very wholesome field trip to the lost Galactic Museum.
WHEN: During the event. (Mid-ish?)
WARNINGS: The foulest of language. Injury extremely likely. More as needed.

Kyle's seen aliens before.

A group of them from the Jannex Galaxy, a spaceship full of greys, the Marklar, and Jeff Bezos. This is the first time he's seen quite so many different kinds in one place, but even so it doesn't take him long to feel comfortable enough to talk to a few of them at the Senate Tour that Obi-Wan had suggested he take. One of these friendly aliens had mentioned in passing that it was a pity that the Galactic Museum could no longer be toured, due to it having been lost and forgotten somewhere down on Level 4.

A lost museum seems to Kyle like exactly the sort of thing the Agrii would want them to find. And even if not, well. Kyle really likes museums.

Is it difficult to get to Level 4? Oh, yes. And extremely dangerous. This doesn't deter Kyle one bit, and so he puts out a call on the Network to let people know that hey, he's putting together a museum field trip and anybody is welcome to come! Provided, that is, that you don't mind finding your way down through huge portals/ventilation shafts into a world where sunlight is less than a memory and dangerous people and creatures lurk around every corner.

But hey, if you decide to come down, you'll find a too-tall ginger waiting for you with some flashlights and a notepad.

You bet your ass he's going to force you to use the Buddy System.

That suggestion makes Raphael cringe. "Good point. Either way, going in this direction won't get us anywhere."

He turns around after Kyle. "Were there more than one door to that last exhibit we were in? Maybe we just went out the wrong way. Anyway, something to keep in mind if nothing down this side looks familiar."

"Yeah, that's probably it."

Kyle sighs. "We have our communicators. Worse comes to worst, we can call Tommy. He'll be able to search for us fast.

"But that's our last resort because I'll never hear the end of it." He scowls. "I wanna punch him out half the time, and the other half I think he's cool. You like that guy?"

"Oh man, I'm with you there. We'll figure this out," Raphael says determinedly. He can't help but laugh as Kyle goes on.

"Hah! I know exactly what you mean. He's all right when he's not trying to shoulder everything himself. ...I think the last time I really talked to him I ended up yelling at him for being stupid." And then there were giant bugs and no real time to apologize when you were feeling more inclined to bash people's heads in.

"-but yeah. Absolutely last resort. I'm so not going to put up with any suggestion that we got ourselves lost otherwise."

"Is that what he does?" Because Kyle's reason for wanting to punch the guy is a lot more visceral.

"Yeah, we're not even lost, we're just a little turned around." Kyle pauses as he hears something up ahead of them clank softly.

"...dude, did you hear that?"

"At least from my experience? Why, what'd he do to you?" Raphael actually gets along pretty well with Tommy. Of course there's also the whole mild fanboy thing because apparently mutant turtle ninja are a pop culture thing on whatever version of Earth the speedster is from.

Raphael doesn't answer Kyle immediately at the sound, but his reaction speaks it plainly enough as he suddenly tenses, eyes narrowing as he turns his attention ahead. "...yeah," he says, dropping his voice to a whisper. "Stay close and keep your eyes and ears open."

"Nothing, just exist," Kyle mutters.

For a wonder, Kyle nods. He creeps a little closer, feeling a lot like he's stepped into a horror movie.

The sound comes again, and Kyle swings his flashlight toward the noise. Against the base of the wall is a hard-plated rodent - it looks like a rat bred with an armadillo.

Kyle exhales deeply. "Holy shit. I thought it was another cannibal hillbilly."

The moment Kyle's brought his light towards the source of the sound, Raphael's reached back and grabbed his sai, hands still behind him as he freezes in mid-draw. Blinking against the light, he snorts as he begins to relax once they see the strange creature.

"You're getting me all worked up for nothing!" he huffs, but Kyle's description for his earlier attacker seems both fitting and awful enough that he has to laugh. "Dude, let's just find our way out of here."

"I'm sorry! It's not my fault you wanna ninja the shit out of someone!" Because come on - he so does.

"Yeah. Man. Sorry this was such a bust."

Hey, Raphael's not denying it. He's always up for a fight, in case it hadn't been obvious. Reluctantly he relinquishes his grip on his weapons, shrugging at Kyle then.

"Eh, it wasn't so bad. I mean, we saw some cool stuff."

"Yeah." he sighs. "I guess I was just hoping to come back with something super useful."

"Not that I won't say it would've been cool, but hey. Who knows if any of these things'd still work anyway? Plus we still got time to look around other places," Raphael suggests. "-okay I think this way looks familiar."

"Yeah."

He follows Raphael. "Well. Even if it was kinda weak, it was cool to check it out with you. You're kinda badass, dude."

Raphael grins back at Kyle then. "You just figure that out?" he asks, but his grin quirks up slightly on one end at that.

"Just think about it though- this place would have been pretty awesome as a hideout or something. If there was something like this back home I'm sure we would've moved right in. But I guess the sewers aren't so bad."

"Do you HAVE to stay in the sewers? Can't you find like... a nice deserted cabin out in the country?" Kyle asks as they retrace their steps more successfully.

"Been there, done that. That was only temporary though." Staying at Aprille's old farmhouse hadn't been terrible, but it still wasn't home. "What good would we be doing out in the country? Then again, it seemed like we still found trouble even when we were out in North Hampton."

Now and then Raphael moves ahead, peeking down an upcoming corner just to make sure it's clear. "Anyway, home is home. Technically it's not all sewer. It's part of an old waterworks hub, and there's an abandoned subway stop. Anyway, where are you gonna get pizza and video games out in the country?"

Kyle looks at Raphael with genuine warmth. "Because you're actual heroes. Okay, that I totally get and respect."

He laughs. "Okay, and good point. What's your favourite pizza?"

The turtle smiles. It's nice being acknowledged like that, not to mention understood. And it's not that they did it to be heroes, although they certainly had aspirations to be like those characters on their favorite shows. But they were ultimately just doing what they could do to keep their city and their world safe.

"Can't go wrong with classic pepperoni," Raphael says after some thought. "...man, pizza would hit the spot. Wonder if this planet's got anything similar to it."

Kyle would argue that the very fact that Raphael would describe his actions is such is what makes him an actual hero. Real heroes just do the right thing.

"Dude, we NEED to find out if they do," Kyle agrees. "I am forever grateful that my folks didn't keep kosher when I was growing up because pizza is the fucking best. Once we get up to the surface again? We're gonna go on a hunt."

Now that sounds like a plan. Raphael turns and holds up a fist to bump, if Kyle's familiar with the gesture and hopefully doesn't think the turtle boy's trying to punch him.

"Now we're talking! This museum tour's worked up an appetite."

Oh no, that gesture is a known one - Kyle bumps his fist against Raphael's and grins.

"Hell yeah, dude."
