Here and back again
WHO: Mando, TheChild™, open
WHERE: Fountain, around Tembra
WHAT: Arrival in the city
WHEN: Couple days before event start, cause let's give these guys a chance to settle in first
WARNINGS: Season 2 spoilers for kid's name and events, just to be safe. Will update if needed
Rude awakening - Closed to Grogu
Last thing Mando remembers, is him and the kid--no. it was Grogu now--aboard the Razor Crest, leaving the planet Corvus. They'd found a Jedi, Ahsoka Tano, who'd refused to train Grogu in the end. Insisting the kid was too attached to him. Mando had been a mix of both frustration and, oddly, relief. But she did give them a lead to the planet Tython, one more attempt to try and find a Jedi to train Grogu. A last chance to finish the quest. Or at least that's where they were SUPPOSED to be headed.
Mando didn't remember blacking out, but suddenly he's waking up to rough uneven ground underneath him, instead of the pilot seat of his ship. It's only a moment, before he becomes fully aware again with a start and quickly climbs to his feet. Pistol automatically drawn from it's holster, in the ready as his visored gaze took in his surroundings. Somewhere in the back of his mind, the ruined city looked familiar, but he couldn't place why. His gaze eventually fell on the orb, and he found himself drawn to it. Touching the surface with his free hand and the information, and memories, came flooding into his mind.
He stumbles back from it, free hand coming up to grasp at the helmet for a moment, as he shakes it to clear his head. Agra-10, this maker-forsaken planet and the damn Agrii. What the hell was he doing back here? Then he drops the hand, and looks up with a start.
"Kid?" Had Grogu come with him once again? He tried to keep calm, as he looked around frantically for a sign of the small green child.
Exploration - OTA
Eventually father and son will move out to take in the city and see what, or who, they can find. Mando has Grogu tucked in one arm, or if not, the kid might mot be too far away. Just expect a pistol drawn on you, if you startle Mando. He's tense and on alert. One of the stops is to the hangar, the fact that the First Breath refused to open for him making him frown under the helmet. Eventually finding that the Twin Roses and the Starduck open when they get near them. He tilts his helm to the side and down to look at the kid.
"Want to check them out?"
And being the mischievous kid he is, Grogu of course is prone to wandering off on his own to explore. Fortunately for the kid, Mando's usually not too far behind in looking for him.

He's rather surprised to wake up on the ground instead of in his little hammock. He coos softly, pushing to his feet and looking around. Then he sees it - a big. Glowing. Ball. Whoa. He vaguely registers Din on the other side of it as he toddles forward and reaches one clawed hand up to touch its surface. Unlike Din, the information download doesn't seem to rattle him. It's not much different than connecting to another's mind, it's just... More. He blinks as he tries to process the new information. But Din's voice cuts through. Oh. Of course he can't see him where he's standing.
Making a small noise, he leans over, peeking around the orb. His ears raise as if asking Din what he wants.
no subject
He turned his around hearing a small sound. His gaze fell on the orb again, giving a relieved sigh when Grogu's head peeked around the orb. He holsters his blaster once more as he walks over to him.
"You okay?" He crouches down, checking him over to make sure here weren't any injuries.
no subject
He tilts his head the other way, blinking curiously at the Mandalorian. Why so worried, Din. Cooing at him, he nodded slightly. He's fine! Stop worrying!
no subject
Ever alert, he lifts his helmeted gaze to take in their surroundings, before looking back to Grogu.
"Let's see who, or what, is here." Really in a crumbling city, he's not expecting to find much, but surely they couldn't be the only ones ones here. He reaches out to scoop the kid up into his arms, as he stands up.

Exploooore
Cal steps back from an open panel on the side of the Starduck, wiping his brow with the back of a hand. He frowns to himself, an unusual expression that catches his droid buddy's attention, earning a curious worble. While the padawan doesn't explain, he does offer an arm to BD-1, who hops up without question and clambers up onto his usual spot behind Cal, who's already turning to look towards the direction of the hangar entrance.
no subject
He stops not too far inside. He switches the infrared in the helmet on, as he turns his head, scanning the hangar. He stops when he picks up on one near the Starduck. His helmet tilts as he shifts the rest him to face toward Cal's position.
"Friend?" He nods toward the boy. "Or foe?"
no subject
"-you're back." His surprise is echoed by BD-1 who peers over his shoulder.
no subject
"--Cal." The young man, as the small droid that always hung around him. "It would seem so. Woke up by the fountain not long ago."

Exploratoryation
Echo is minding his own business when their paths cross, his step faltering from the brisk pace he's keeping. Pulling his blaster up in self-defense in a relatively abandoned city is the last thing he wants to do in a situation like this, switching to diffuse the tension as best as he can.
"Easy," the clone responds, one gloved hand rising halfway as the other holds the blaster aloft. "These buildings are already rough-lookin' as they are."
no subject
Luckily for Echo, Din's less of a shoot first, ask questions later sort of guy these days. Still, he keeps the blaster leveled at the clone, eyes narrowing under the helmet, as he takes in the subtle differences and colors of the armor.
"You Emperial?" He's willing to give Echo a shadow of a doubt. He didn't sound quite like the Stormtroopers they'd encountered, and the lack of immediate return of a gun drawn on him. Plus he seemed...familiar, and Din was trying to place why.
no subject
"For the Republic," Echo states evenly, his vocal inflections different from most storm trooper voices. "The Empire doesn't exist here."

Who let this child off on his own?!
Food?
First order of business is to feed the rumbling in his stomach. He spots some kind of creature that looks small enough to eat and sets off in hot pursuit. He reaches and it moves just out of his grasp. Burbling with frustration, he takes a few steps forward and reaches again.
Starduck
The door opens for him. He coos, curious about the unfamiliar ship. Toddling his way inside, his eyes are wide as he looks around. It's so shiny! Way nicer looking than the Razor Crest!
He comes upon a bank of buttons. They're so pretty! He has no idea what they do and he doesn't care. He reaches out one clawed hand to press one - perhaps someone should stop him...
Starduck
Cayde is certainly not one to stop the kid from exploring. Besides, he's very likely tried pushing them all himself. It had been a loooong trip out to the Agrii's rescue, and having not been allowed into the cockpit, he'd had to make use of his time somehow. At the very least nothing terribly vital is linked to this panel.
...he's pretty sure there isn't, anyway.
no subject
Oh. Someone's holding him. He presses one particularly shiny button before looking up to see the droid from the bar. Ohai.

"I do not believe that wishes to play with you," she informs the small being.

He makes a curious noise, his ears raising as he looks her over. But... he wasn't trying to play with it. He wanted to eat it. There's a difference!

Exploration!
Obi-Wan had decided this was the best place on the ship for his meditations. It seemed to usually be quiet here and he enjoyed the company of the plants. Giving a feeling of life in contrast to the cold dead metal all around them.
With his eyes closed the Jedi focuses on and communes with the Force. His senses sharp and reaching out immerse himself with everything around him. Thus he easily felt the Mandalorian and his companion enter the ship. Yet he still waited patiently until they came into the hangar. The man never moving or even opening his eyes. Instead he spoke with a simple question.
“Can I help you?”
no subject
Sill, Din checks out the ship. The layout looking the same, even if it's designed differently. As he often does, Din's holding Grogu up against his chest plate with his left hand, holding him facing out so the kid can see what's going on too.
Eventually the pair make it to the ship's hangar, and well, it's kind of hard to miss a garden, of all things. It actually makes Din pause, as he takes it in. Visored gaze turning onto the robed man, however, when the question is voiced, helm tilting as he takes him in. Guy's pretty calm about two strangers just walking in.
"No. Who are you?"
no subject
Grogu can sense something about the stranger. Something... Familiar. He tilts his head, cooing curiously at him. Who are you?

Exploration - FIrst Breath
Was it possible?
"Mando? You've returned?"
So far as Reeve knew, that had only happened twice before.
no subject
"Reeve." He nods to the man in recognition. and answer to the man's question. "I did. Woke up not too long ago."
no subject
"I would welcome you back, but I cannot believe this is where you wished to be. Still, a welcome anyway. Has the First Breath rejected you? I'm sorry."

Exploration - Twin Roses
"New blood, again? Geez, Agrii just seem obsessed with messing with my shipmate distribution."
The speedster sighs and turns from the plants, looking at the arrivals.
"Who are you supposed to be? A tin can? What's with the doll?"
no subject
His eyes were wide, taking in the pretty ship when he heard the voice. Oh! Someone new! His ears raised curiously as he looked over the stranger. Oh, he didn't sound happy... wait... did he just call him a doll? He blew a raspberry, looking up at Din. Did you hear what that guy just called him, Dad?
no subject
"I assume you're in charge of the ship?" Din had raised an eyebrow at Tommy's comment...complaint? When before he'd been taking in the plants. Certainly wasn't very welcoming.
"A Mandalorian." He responds, frowning under the helmet at being called a tin can, and the kid being called a doll. Outwardly he stays neutral, however, outside of the fingers of his right hand rolling inward. He glances down at Grogu, at the kid's raspberry response. Yes son he did. He looks back up to address Tommy.
"No. He's a friend of mine." The tone is disapproving
