A Royal Arrival
WHO: Princess Zelda, you, and Link is probably hovering somewhere close by
WHERE: Various.
WHAT: Zelda's exploring.
WHEN: Later part of July
WARNINGS: none at the moment. Will update if needed.
{ Don't break these pots | Agriculture Building }
Zelda can't remember a time where she was allowed to just sit and re-pot plants like this. There's a thin layer of dirt on her legs and hands but she couldn't feel more at ease as diligently works gathering samplings to try and grow on her own. It's nice knowing that she doesn't have to worry about being told off or that she's not trying hard enough. She has a freedom here that she didn't back home.
She feels a little guilty for thinking that but buries it pretty neatly as she buries the root of the plant she's currently potting. She can worry about her conflicting emotions after she's done here.
"There you are, little one." She says soothingly to the plant and sets it aside to pot another. It's a little odd to her that she suddenly has the knowledge to take care of these plants but she isn't complaining. She wipes her brow, smearing a bit of dirt on her forehead before delicately cutting a sampling from the next plant that has her interest.
{ Moving in | hotel }
Zelda wanted her own room at the hotel. Mostly due to the fact Link's room is... a bit full. She takes a room as close to his as she can manage and sets about putting the few pots she has up on the window sill and opens the window to let more light in.
After taking some time to wash up and once she's clean again she works on arranging her room the way she wants it. She frowns at the lay out of the room. It's not a large space but she's sure if she were to push the bed up against the wall it would at least look like there was more space.
She briefly considers getting Link to move it for her but shakes the idea out of her head. They're not in Hyrule at the moment and no one's going to tell her she can't do things for herself. Alright then, her mind made up, she makes an attempt at moving the bed on her own.
The frame is bolted down but that won't stop her from at least pulling the mattress off. Anyone crossing by might just hear her grunting and struggling to pull the mattress where she wants it to go.
{ Out Wandering }
Evening has set in and she's done all she can for her room at this point. However, she's not quite ready to call it a night as she wanders through Temba, her attention on the map as she studies it carefully. She's in a new place and getting lost wouldn't be ideal.
Besides, she should probably meet some more people and introduce herself since they'll all be working together to try and help the Agrii.

His curiosity gets the better of him, and so the turtle teen navigates through the greenery, the humidity of the building only making it slightly more bearable than going outside where he's sure he'd shrivel up into a husk if he stood anywhere longer than five minutes. He stops short when he finally comes within sight of the woman in the dirt.
Donnie's seen her before. Diving into the tall grass for a frog. Bedraggled in what had been a beautiful white dress, stained by dirt and tears as she reluctantly fled. They're not his memories, but they come up, unbidden, along with her name.
"-Zelda..?"
no subject
"Yes?" She prompts. She's going to have to get used to people just calling her Zelda. She might be the Princess of Hyrule back home but she gets the feeling that title is absolutely useless here. Which is a bit of a relief and little daunting all at once. Once again, she can worry about her conflicting emotions later.
"Who might you be?" She questions.
no subject
"Ah, um. Right, you wouldn't know me. I'm Donatello. -Donnie, everyone calls me, that's fine." He scratches the back of his head. "Are...you real?" Wow, what a question to ask. Donnie shakes his head. "I mean-"
He breathes out a frustrated sigh. "This place is weird and it gets complicated explaining but what I meant to ask is- have you been here long?"
no subject
"No, I only arrived today, as a matter of fact." She explains. "Nice to meet you, Donnie." She says amiably. "Don't feel too flustered, I am used to people recognizing me, after all." She wasn't really expecting it here but it's not like she can't adapt.
no subject
That realization dawns on him and he drags his hands down his face, peeking between his fingers at her reassurances. Oh. Well, at least it's not weird on her end. Donnie decides to hold off on explaining- or trying to explain- that he'd seen her in Link's memories.
"Oh, really? And you're jumping right into things, I see," he notes, glancing at the plants she's been potting.
"Er...sorry, I've never spoken to royalty before. Should I be calling you princess?"

Hotel
She hears someone at the doorway and pauses, she knows it's not Link, the footfalls aren't the same and then the person speaks and it startles her a little because that is most definitely not her appointed knight's voice.
"I wouldn't want to impose..." She says a little apprehensive.

"If your certain. I'd like to move the mattress to that corner." She points to the corner she's trying to push it in.

Hotel
...Okay. So maybe Zelda couldn't fit in his room.
But at least she was still near. Near enough that, attuned as he is to Zelda's sounds and movements, he can hear when she starts to struggle with something.
Making his way to Zelda's room, he briefly stands in her doorway. Looks at her bed. Looks at the mattress she's struggling with. And then immediately moves towards her, hands reaching out so that he can help.
Hotel
Which is about the time she hears the door open and someone comes to her aide. She doesn't even need to look to see who it is. Who else would just open the door without knocking and then try to help her?
"Oh, hello." She says as he joins her. With both of them (probably, mostly thanks to Link) it'll take no time at all to get it to the corner she wants it in.
no subject
(It's the sort of thing that, before the Calamity, Link would probably have done for her. He was her Knight; it would have been expected of him. But he doesn't remember those expectations anymore.)
Once it's in place, he looks back at the now empty frame. It seems a bit...odd, just sitting there without the mattress.
"The frame...?" he asks, wondering what Zelda wants to do with it.
no subject
"It does look odd, doesn't it?" She frowns. Maybe it would make more sense to try and find someway to remove it all together. "Is it possible to remove it?"
no subject
And then he draws the Sword that Seals the Blade, as he gazes at the frame with fierce intent.

wandering!!
Naturally, it's when Zelda's wandering by on her map studying adventure that Sonic just happens to come up for air, suddenly appearing with a splash and a deep breath for air. Boo?
no subject
She's fully focused on the map that she doesn't expect it at all when someone suddenly pops out of the fountain, spraying her with water. She lets out a startled shriek as she takes a hurried step back, dropping the communicator in the process.
no subject
So when he hears Zelda shriek, he immediately stops trying to catch this one lizard to run towards her.
He skids to a stop, takes in the scene, and...she's fine. No one's attacking her. Except maybe with splashes, which doesn't count. And hey, there's Sonic.
"...Hi," Link says, before bending down to pick up Zelda's communicator, and hold it out for her.
no subject
He quickly realizes that he's not in any danger, but this is still a less than ideal scenario. Here he is, hanging out in a fountain and scaring girls like a jerk. Real cool, Sonic.
"Uhhh..."
He's got nothing. Thankfully Link saves the day by showing up and... actually this is probably awkward for him too? Sonic amplifies the awkward by looking between Link and this new chick and just fumbling over his words like a champ.
"Oh. uh. Hi?"
This is going great!
no subject
"You frightened me. Whatever are you doing in the fountain?" She asks, still sounding a little startled.
And then Link rushes over which, of course he did. He's never very far away. She's both relieved to see him and maybe a tiny bit embarrassed. She sucks in a breath to regain her composure and takes the communicator when it's handed back to her.
"Thank you." She says a little stiffly.

Moving In
"Hello? Are you okay whoever is there?"
no subject
She's got the mattress halfway to where she wants it and then hears someone's voice. Briefly, she feels a flood of embarrassment at the fact she's made enough noise to get someone's attention but and shoves it down as she moves to open her door and assure the person she's fine.
"I'm sorry, I was attempting to move something. I didn't mean to alarm anyone."
no subject
For now Robin worked her way toward the voice, only to have a face pop out. Another person with the long pointy ears. About as pretty as the last one in the face, though with nicer hair. Good to know.
"No, it's okay. No alarm. Probably. Nothing's tried to kill me here yet. So far. Probably. Um, can I ask a small question? Any chance you know a person named Link?"
no subject
"Yes," Zelda offers a small nod at the question. "He's my knight." She explains as though that were a normal thing. Speaking of Link, he's probably not too far off. If anything does try to kill this girl, he'd probably be all too happy to help her.
no subject
"Knight? Like, swords and-"
No, stop, back track.
"He?"
