A Royal Arrival
WHO: Princess Zelda, you, and Link is probably hovering somewhere close by
WHERE: Various.
WHAT: Zelda's exploring.
WHEN: Later part of July
WARNINGS: none at the moment. Will update if needed.
{ Don't break these pots | Agriculture Building }
Zelda can't remember a time where she was allowed to just sit and re-pot plants like this. There's a thin layer of dirt on her legs and hands but she couldn't feel more at ease as diligently works gathering samplings to try and grow on her own. It's nice knowing that she doesn't have to worry about being told off or that she's not trying hard enough. She has a freedom here that she didn't back home.
She feels a little guilty for thinking that but buries it pretty neatly as she buries the root of the plant she's currently potting. She can worry about her conflicting emotions after she's done here.
"There you are, little one." She says soothingly to the plant and sets it aside to pot another. It's a little odd to her that she suddenly has the knowledge to take care of these plants but she isn't complaining. She wipes her brow, smearing a bit of dirt on her forehead before delicately cutting a sampling from the next plant that has her interest.
{ Moving in | hotel }
Zelda wanted her own room at the hotel. Mostly due to the fact Link's room is... a bit full. She takes a room as close to his as she can manage and sets about putting the few pots she has up on the window sill and opens the window to let more light in.
After taking some time to wash up and once she's clean again she works on arranging her room the way she wants it. She frowns at the lay out of the room. It's not a large space but she's sure if she were to push the bed up against the wall it would at least look like there was more space.
She briefly considers getting Link to move it for her but shakes the idea out of her head. They're not in Hyrule at the moment and no one's going to tell her she can't do things for herself. Alright then, her mind made up, she makes an attempt at moving the bed on her own.
The frame is bolted down but that won't stop her from at least pulling the mattress off. Anyone crossing by might just hear her grunting and struggling to pull the mattress where she wants it to go.
{ Out Wandering }
Evening has set in and she's done all she can for her room at this point. However, she's not quite ready to call it a night as she wanders through Temba, her attention on the map as she studies it carefully. She's in a new place and getting lost wouldn't be ideal.
Besides, she should probably meet some more people and introduce herself since they'll all be working together to try and help the Agrii.

"You frightened me. Whatever are you doing in the fountain?" She asks, still sounding a little startled.
And then Link rushes over which, of course he did. He's never very far away. She's both relieved to see him and maybe a tiny bit embarrassed. She sucks in a breath to regain her composure and takes the communicator when it's handed back to her.
"Thank you." She says a little stiffly.
no subject
He looks at Sonic. Why is he in the fountain?
"You want the lake for fish," he says.
no subject
"...Bro, why would I be fishing in a fountain?"
He could specify that he was just trying to cool off, but part of him wants to see where this goes.
no subject
She was just about to suggest that fishing wasn't likely the reason but Sonic does it himself quite effectively.
"It's fine." Zelda states, still a bit stiff. It's not fine but she's trying to move past it.
no subject
"Sometimes you can catch things in the Zora fountains." And okay, they weren't fish. Usually snails. Or crabs. But they were still seafood. And edible.
Then he looks at Zelda, a faint frown on his face. Usually he's not bothered by wearing wet clothes, but...Zelda seems to be.
no subject
"I... sure. I don't know where that is." Link oh my God don't eat things that people throw in fountains? Anyway, Sonic turns to Zelda again and oooh boy he is going to do his level best to make this less weird.
"Sssoooo, my name's Sonic. I... see you two have already met?"
Hoo buddy he could just leave. He could be miles away in seconds and escape this forever.
no subject
"I'm Zelda, Princess of Hyrule. Link is my knight. He accompanies me everywhere." She explains, her tone much less clipped. "I'm pleased to meet you." Ignoring the part where he splashed water on her.
no subject
And while Sonic might think that Link is oblivious to Zelda's discomfort, that's not in fact the case. It's just that Link hasn't made it particularly obvious that he's noticed.
At this point however, he glance sidelong at Zelda. Lifts one arm, and tugs at the light, breezy - and dry - fabric of his Gerudo outfit. The question remains unspoken: does Zelda want to switch clothes?
no subject
"No kidding, a legit princess? Figures the person I throw gross fountain water all over is royalty."
Good job Sonic, you're a true gentleman. He finally hops up out of the fountain, carefully so he doesn't end up splashing all over again, and takes a seat on it's edge.
"Nice to meet you, too! He and I already know each other, we met back when there was this weird festival where all the food tasted like peanut butter." Yep that's what stood out the most in his mind about it.
no subject
She turns her attention on Link and watches the way he pulls on the sleeve of his outfit. Perhaps they could switch tops but her pants might be a bit too fitted, even for him. And then there's the added idea that she'd hearing something of his.
"Only if you don't mind." She tells him easily. "I'd hate to make you do something you don't want to do."
no subject
And then he says, "I don't mind," and immediately begins pulling off his gauzy Gerudo top. Sure, they're in the middle of the square. Pretty much anyone walking by will clearly be able to see Link, without his shirt on. But Link shows zero hesitation or embarrassment.
Really, he's worn less before.
no subject
He trails off as his eyes slowly shift from Zelda to Link, who has apparently decided to just start stripping in the middle of the city. Look bro, no judgment, it's not like Sonic wears clothes on a regular basis, but this isn't really something he's ever known humans to do? Or Elves or whatever Link and Zelda are, he has no idea.
no subject
She takes in a breath to try and calm her suddenly racing heart and tries not to given into the temptation to stare. She certainly hopes he isn't expecting her to change in the middle of the square.
no subject
He blinks, and looks at Zelda.
“You…don’t want to switch?”
no subject
...Really he should probably leave. But he doesn't. Carry on, goofballs.
no subject
"I most certainly don't want to take my clothes off where everyone can see." She tells him, trying to stay stern and getting a little distracted. She knows he's missing much of his memories and it's miracle he remembers her as well as he does so she tries to be lenient when he does things that are not typically socially acceptable-like strip out in the open.
no subject
Oh no.
It's the piggy-back climb up the stairs all over again.
Once more, Link did not think this through. Now his face and the tips of his ears are turning a bright shade a red, as he's suddenly thinking it through too much.
"A...ah," he says, before awkwardly looking away and quickly putting his Gerudo Top back on.
no subject
After a couple moments, Sonic clears his throat. By the way, he's still here.
"Well, this has been fun!"
no subject
"F-fun?" She stammers. No part of this has been fun for her. Well, maybe not no part but most of the encounter has been rather miserable in her opinion.
no subject
(No Link, don't think about that, don't think about that at all...)
But look! Here is Sonic, providing a distraction. Sure, it's a confusing distraction. But Link will cling onto it, all the same. Much better to think about the puzzle that is trying to figure out just what exactly Sonic was calling 'fun'.
"...The fountain is fun?" Link would have thought the lake would have been more fun. There's actual fish you can catch, for one.
no subject
Link, buddy.
"...y'know, I'm starting to worry about you."
Maybe Link should be more careful when doing his extreme sports, stop landing on his head so often.
This is absolutely not going to help with the confusion, is it.
no subject
She's not sure how she feels about Sonic's statement and almost feels as if she should be offended on his behalf because he probably won't be.
"He's fine." Zelda assures. "You're the one swimming in the fountain, after all."
no subject
Sonic is the one swimming in the fountain. Not that Link wouldn’t do so himself, especially if he happened to notice anything particularly shiny at the bottom of it. But you know. In principle, Sonic clearly cannot judge.
no subject
You win this round, Zelda. Sonic will accept this defeat gracefully.
"In my defense, it's really hot out, and I can't just strip this fur coat off the way he can his shirt."
no subject
And now she feels like she's floundering again trying not to think about that. Her cheeks are considerably darker and she clears her throat.
"Some of the buildings are cooler on the inside. You should try those." She states, matter of fact and not daring to look over at Link.
