A Royal Arrival
WHO: Princess Zelda, you, and Link is probably hovering somewhere close by
WHERE: Various.
WHAT: Zelda's exploring.
WHEN: Later part of July
WARNINGS: none at the moment. Will update if needed.
{ Don't break these pots | Agriculture Building }
Zelda can't remember a time where she was allowed to just sit and re-pot plants like this. There's a thin layer of dirt on her legs and hands but she couldn't feel more at ease as diligently works gathering samplings to try and grow on her own. It's nice knowing that she doesn't have to worry about being told off or that she's not trying hard enough. She has a freedom here that she didn't back home.
She feels a little guilty for thinking that but buries it pretty neatly as she buries the root of the plant she's currently potting. She can worry about her conflicting emotions after she's done here.
"There you are, little one." She says soothingly to the plant and sets it aside to pot another. It's a little odd to her that she suddenly has the knowledge to take care of these plants but she isn't complaining. She wipes her brow, smearing a bit of dirt on her forehead before delicately cutting a sampling from the next plant that has her interest.
{ Moving in | hotel }
Zelda wanted her own room at the hotel. Mostly due to the fact Link's room is... a bit full. She takes a room as close to his as she can manage and sets about putting the few pots she has up on the window sill and opens the window to let more light in.
After taking some time to wash up and once she's clean again she works on arranging her room the way she wants it. She frowns at the lay out of the room. It's not a large space but she's sure if she were to push the bed up against the wall it would at least look like there was more space.
She briefly considers getting Link to move it for her but shakes the idea out of her head. They're not in Hyrule at the moment and no one's going to tell her she can't do things for herself. Alright then, her mind made up, she makes an attempt at moving the bed on her own.
The frame is bolted down but that won't stop her from at least pulling the mattress off. Anyone crossing by might just hear her grunting and struggling to pull the mattress where she wants it to go.
{ Out Wandering }
Evening has set in and she's done all she can for her room at this point. However, she's not quite ready to call it a night as she wanders through Temba, her attention on the map as she studies it carefully. She's in a new place and getting lost wouldn't be ideal.
Besides, she should probably meet some more people and introduce herself since they'll all be working together to try and help the Agrii.

Donnie looks around as Zelda does. It's a little awkward to realize he's never even really formally met Link outside of that dream. Ugh, this place is messed up.
"If it weren't so stupidly hot out, I'd be working more on other projects, but I try to check on things in here when I can."
no subject
She has to agree the weather out side is anything but nice. Maybe later she'll find a hair tie and at least get her hair off her neck.
"I would love come here and assist with the plants in anyway I can." She offers.
no subject
"My home city can get super humid during the summer so I guess I'm used to it, kind of. My species prefers wetter places than not, either way," Donnie explains. He still wishes there were better spots to soak than at the beach. There's supposedly things that like biting or sucking on you in the flood plains.
"Oh, well I think Tommy's the other person who usually frequents the place and takes care of things, but I've been conducting an experiment for the past few months. I have a small garden area back that way. There's another one outside- which ...I need to go water," he grimaces, not looking forward to that task. "I have a control group on one of the ships but... since the ships are gone currently I can't do anything for that one but hope they haven't died."
no subject
"Tommy?" She asks curiously, that's a name she hasn't heard Link mention yet and if he takes care of the plants, he's definitely a person of interest to her. She'd hate to step on any toes by intruding on someone else's experiments.
At the mention of the plants on the ships frowns softly. "Perhaps they'll be back soon." She says encouragingly.
no subject
He nods. "Tommy. If he's not in here then he's at the diner, I think. Or around in general."
He sighs about the ships. What he really wants is to be able to fly in one and out in space!! "Hopefully. The Agrii said they were going to fix them up or something so that we could visit." Which is exciting in itself! "At least the plants are basically self-sufficient in the environment they're in. The ship I'm on happens to be equipped with a hydroponics station."
no subject
She doesn't dwell on it for long though and listens with interest, frowning at that last bit. "Hydroponics station?" She questions, something to do with water, she's sure.
no subject
Donnie brightens, eager to explain. "It's a system of cultivation that uses alternative methods that require no dirt! In such instances, one can grow plants purely in water, or sand or gravel, thus eliminating some of the potential contamination that might come through use of soil and fertilizer. It's also easier to manage in any climate, or even in a lack of one, such as indoors or within a spaceship."
no subject
"I'd very much love to see one." She'd like to see how it works first hand as sounds absolutely thrilling.
no subject
"Well, the only ones around here were on the ship, the Twin Roses, I think the name was? But I can probably whip something up, it's not too hard," Donnie says, beaming. "That's how I did most of my gardening back home for lack of a yard...among other things."
no subject
"I had a few plants in my study back home, though my interest in botanics was greatly discouraged."
no subject
"Sure! I can do that."
He looks absolutely confused at Zelda's admission about her plant studies. Maybe even horrified. He wouldn't know what to do if anyone told him not to study something, but then no one back home never gave him much restriction either way.
"Wha- but why? Botany is so fascinating, there's so much to learn from plants! Who would do such a thing?!"
no subject
"My father... he always told me to quit playing at being scholar and focus more on my training... I understand why, of course, it's just that... well, I suppose it doesn't really matter now." She states, gently caressing the leaf of one of the plants.
no subject
She's royalty, sure, but...wouldn't learning things be important and beneficial to a kingdom, to its future ruler? Donnie'd admit he's no expert in these sorts of things, but so far as he's concerned, there's never been anything wrong with knowing more.
"...I'm sorry," he says quietly. Sympathizing with people is difficult for him, but it's clear to him how much Zelda cares about plants, and if he feels bad just thinking of how things would be if someone were to discourage such interests from him, then Zelda must feel just as much so.
"But...you have a chance to do it now. No holding back, no reason not to."
no subject
"Well, there's no sense in dwelling on it now." She decides. "I'll just be sure not to let that freedom go to waste."
no subject
Donnie nods at Zelda. "Anyway, it's not like we can do too much else while we're here, and at least I think learning about the plants and things will help the Agrii out, and us so long as we're stuck."
