WHO: Link and you!
WHERE: The Hangar, the Hotel, and various places across Temba
WHAT: Link searches for scientists, looks at ships, and moves into a new home
WHEN: After Link's arrival & the blizzard event
WARNINGS: None expected
The new ponty-eared arrival in Temba isn't exactly looking like a style icon as he runs around Temba, wearing the slightly oversized sweatshirt and pants that Gladio gave him. In deference to the cold, on top of that he's also tied an old ratty blanket around his neck, as if it were a cloak.
And of course, on top of that, there is the Master Sword, slung on his back.
But Link certainly doesn't let the fact that he arrived wholly unprepared for the winter cold stop him from exploring this new location.
I. Searching forquest-givers scientists
So, Link is here. He knows he's here because the Agrii want heroes to help save them from the storms. He knows, at this point, absolutely nothing about said storms, or how to stop them.
But Gladio mentioned 'smart science types'. People like Purah, or Robbie. People who might have the knowledge and intelligence to figure out what's going on. If Link's going to figure out how he's going to help...they seem like a good place to start.
So he goes looking. Maybe he manages to track someone down by name. Maybe he finds a place that looks suitably...sciency, and just figures that whoever is in there is probably a scientist. Or knows where to find one.
Either way, wherever they are, Link will find them. And then just kind of look at them, with an odd, intense yet strangely blank-faced expression.
"...Hi," he says, still staring.
II. Hangar & the ships
The ships Link found partly while looking for scientists, partly while just exploring.
When he first sees them, he just...stares. He has no frame of reference for what these massive things are. But he can't help but be reminded - at least in some way - of the Divine Beasts. But while the Divine Beasts were similarly colossal in scale, they weren't spread out across Hyrule. Not all clustered together, in one place.
Link definitely wants to see what's inside these.
Though it takes a while, before he can get into one. The first few he tries, for whatever reason, he just...can't get in. But then he comes to the one that looks a bit scrappy - the Bloodsport - and the door just opens at a touch.
He peers in. What will he find in here?
III. The hotel
In the days and weeks after Link moves into one of the Hotel rooms, a few themes will soon emerge to anyone who pays attention.
Firstly, Link clearly pays absolutely no attention to any kind of schedule; he is just as likely to leave or arrive in the middle of the night, as he is any time during the day. Though he doesn't spend all that much time in the room itself, usually spending his time elsewhere.
Secondly, he keeps bringing back things. A armfull of baconrooms. Several bunches of Chicken Daisies. Pieces of wood. Rocks. Assorted debris. Even a few small lizards, one time. Although Link soon learned - to his disappointment - that lizards don't always stay where you put them.
He also has a habit of not always taking the stairs. There's a perfectly good window, after all. Why walk down, when you can climb?
IV. Wildcard

Link will see him when he's next climbing up to the room of his window. It's rather difficult not to notice the strange silhouette of a figure above you, watching from the edge of the rooftop like some strange vulture or gargoyle.

Were they wearing a helmet?
It was the helmet, more than anything else, that had Link shifting course to climb all the way up. Sheer curiosity demanded it.
His fingers grab onto the ledge. He doesn't pull himself all the way up - just enough so that his head is above the roof top, and Link can see.
For a moment, Link just stares back - watching, as he had been watched.
no subject
It's quite some time that passes as he seems just as content to stare wordlessly at the strange, pointy-eared man hanging onto the edge of the roof. He doesn't budge a centimeter, the only movement provided by the wind as it tugs at the ends of his greatcoat.
no subject
He makes a soft noise in the back of his throat. It is a good view up here.
no subject
Fortunately- or is it unfortunately? Felwinter is patient. He wonders if the lad will explain himself, but given he's taken to just sit there, well. The helmeted head tilts to one side as though trying to figure out this conundrum at his feet.

--Except then there's Link, just. Waiting. Dustin visibly jumps.
"--F-Fuck!" He takes an impulsive step back, driving a hand into his hair. "What, what?! What do you want?"
no subject
But, so far he hasn't. Yet. So patiently waiting outside the diner will have to do for now.
"You're a smart science person," Link says. Something he had not realised when they'd met on the roof.
no subject
Not that any of this reasoning tempers his response at all. "Sure," he says with a roll of his eyes and a dismissive wave of his hand. "Whatever. What do you want? Spit it out already."
no subject
"You need help?" Link says, because he's the one looking for jobs to do.

IV somewhere near the hotel
Pikachu is running good way ahead of him, dashing on all fours as the two run through Temba. Pikachu pauses when he's gotten a little too far ahead and offers a wave for Ash to catch up.
"Pika Pika!" He encourages his trainer and then continues on. He pauses when he comes across the weird human? with pointy ears and an armful of things. "Pika?" He tilts his head curiously.
no subject
Maybe something like a blupee? Except yellow, and making odd noises. Kind of a pity Link doesn't have a bow, actually. He'd be curious to see if it dropped any rupies if he shot it...
Well, with his arms full and no ranged weapon available, Link is unable to immediately resort to murder. So he choose to just watch - mirroring the creature's head-tilt with one of his own - and see what it does.
no subject
"Pikapi." Pikachu gestures in Link's direction as Ash gently gets his companion.
"Whoa. You've really got your hands full, need any help?" He offers upon seeing Link has gathered a collection of... stuff.
no subject
His eyes still follow the little yellow creature. "That your pet?"
Pets aren't something Link has a lot of experience with - but he has seen them. There's the dogs that some people at Stables and some towns have. And Riju's sand seal Patricia, of course.

I. Science-quest!
This time, he had brought clothes. He wasn't going to be left without so much as a t-shirt to protect him from the cold if the Iron Man refused to be repaired. And this time, he left the door open, the imposing metal barrier swung aside to the pool of sunshine that hadn't touched the inside of this space for too long. Tony cleared the snow immediately out front first, then brought more in to start scrubbing the shame from the floors and benches--all of it blackened with soot, but blood and sweat were still unmistakable, and turned the melted snow the colour of rust in the bucket that Tony hauled back toward the door. Where he just barely stopped, bucket hefted in both hands, on the verge of throwing it directly in someone's face.
"Uh."
He stared back, then over his shoulder to try to see what they were looking at, because it didn't exactly feel like he was the object of interest here. The Iron Man was back there, standing dark and silent, and not about to answer, so eventually Tony had to produce for them, "Hi."

But that smoke didn't look like just a campfire. There was too much of it. In fact, it reminded Link of the Ancient Furnace, at the Hateno Tech Lab. Link was willing to bet that there, he might find a scientist.
And hey, here he was, having found someone. Progress?
"You're a scientist?" Link says. His eyes drift to the armor in the background. Not the same as Ancient Sheikah technology, but...maybe similar? Certainly it looked interesting, at least.

(It does not occur to Link, at all, that the man might feel judged by the question. Not to mention, Link wouldn't even know what an 'academic person' would look like. He only knows a handful of scientists, and they're all...well. Pretty eccentric. Tony would fit right in.)
Apparently, the man wants to...make guesses about Link? Not exactly what Link was expecting, either. But if that's what the man wants to do, well, who is Link to deny him?

Hotel
The window thing definitely makes him stare. "... Uh ... did you lose your key or something?"
He's pretty sure none of the rooms need keys. Maybe the door is stuck?
no subject
Perhaps Radley will be lucky, and they won't make an appearance in his room.
As for Link, he just pauses with one leg swung over the windowsill, and turns to look at Radley. Link never lost a key in the first place, so...
"No." No, he has no lost a key.

no subject
He looks at Radley for a moment, before swinging the other leg over and starting to make his way down the building.

Not so much as the large wolf-hound at her side. Little Bear's tail is thumping vigorously, clearly eager to go meet the stranger. Lark had a bit of a firmer hand on his discipline than the children had, though, so she just stayed silently watching him for another moment before speaking.
"Would you like help carrying your things?"
no subject
He looks at it, lying there on the ground, before looking back at the woman. And the dog, who Link cannot pet right now because he has no arms free to do so.
"...Maybe?"
no subject
"Someone isn't playing enough fetch," she told the dog with a smile. "I'll tell Lerith for next time he takes you for a walk."
no subject
He doesn't say anything in particular. The woman seems to be busy talking to the dog, so Link probably shouldn't butt in. He just walks towards to the hotel entrance, and trusts that they'll follow.
(No climbing back into his room - not this time, at least.)
