In case anyone was wondering what that strange light looks like I got me a pair of binocs.

[ Cobb waved a truly ridiculous pair of binoculars that are violently green and purple and look like some sort of rabbit/dog/animal. ]

And took a closer look. It's kinda like looking at the binary suns back home. A lot of bright and not a lot else around it. You can't see anything else but the bright.

[ Which explained why Cobb face was not centered in camera and he was still rubbing at his eyes. He had a few minutes at least before the bright spot burned into his eyes fades away. ]

So, sorry this didn't help much but if anyone needs to borrow some binocs I've got a pair handy.

[Mando takes the offered binoculars, and tilts his helm as he examines them. He won't lie, part of him is tempted to tear off the ears, and make them look less ridiculous.]

Not seen ones like them either. [He turns away a bit to put them up to the visor. They're not exactly made to fit over armor, but he makes it work. Though it probably makes him look stupid.] Good I haven't asked them for anything. [Cause what would he ask for? He's got what he needs.

He lowers them after a few moments.]

Most importantly they do work. I can work with them.

[ The ears might be part of what holds the lenses in. Cobb's not sure. He's just left them alone because Maker knows if the stuff to fix them is here.

He puts a hand on his hip, leaning casually as Mando takes a look at what Cobb apparently risked his eyesight for. ]

I'll take working binocs even if they're not the pair I was hoping for. [ He wanted something with a range finder and night vision capabilities but well, he can see into the distance. ] You see anything besides glow?

[ Because that's all Cobb got. Lots of glowing light. It's frustrating. ]

Agreed. [It would be worse if they gave them ones that don't work.

He raises them again, looking at the light this time. Free hand fiddling with the settings on the helmet as he adjusts them to see if he can see anything else. But that damn light is stubbornly bright.]

Dank farrick. [There's a frustrated frown to his tone, as he lowers them again, and turning to look at Cobb.] Nothing. Whatever it is. It doesn't want us seeing anything.

Yeah, that's what I thought. [ Nice to know it wasn't just him getting messed with. He's quiet for a moment. ]

Talked to this Imp. Past Imp. Called himself an arc trooper. [ He's annoyed just thinking about the fact the Empire is sort of here. ] Details don't matter. He thinks it's not intentional. Like it's some sort of misunderstanding between them and us. But in my gut it feels deliberate.

[Imp? Arc Trooper? Mando tilts his helm.]

Look like a Stormtrooper? [There's only one that looks like one of those, as far as Mando is aware.]

They are deliberately keeping it from us. [He glances toward the light again.] Anyone tried contacting the Agrii about this? Atroma? [Mando doubts they'd give answers, but best to try and cover all bases.]

Yeah, he looked like one to me. [ He scowls for a moment. ] But he said he wasn't and I don't want to start trouble.

[ Cobb shakes his head. Okay, focus on the problem. ]

As far as I know? No. People have tried to reach it. We've tried to look at it. But... [ He trails off with a shrug. ] No one's done anything organized about it. I didn't even know we could contact them.
