In case anyone was wondering what that strange light looks like I got me a pair of binocs.
[ Cobb waved a truly ridiculous pair of binoculars that are violently green and purple and look like some sort of rabbit/dog/animal. ]
And took a closer look. It's kinda like looking at the binary suns back home. A lot of bright and not a lot else around it. You can't see anything else but the bright.
[ Which explained why Cobb face was not centered in camera and he was still rubbing at his eyes. He had a few minutes at least before the bright spot burned into his eyes fades away. ]
So, sorry this didn't help much but if anyone needs to borrow some binocs I've got a pair handy.

[ All those half finished sentences are not helping his confusion any. ]

North-western part of the city. There has been a blinking light like this one. Once you got nearer, you could see that it’s on top of a large tower and- We may have broken it? It had a small control room hidden nearby. With buttons and a countdown and... I’m rather certain it caused the spider invasion. So we went back there and it just.... It all Stopped.
Tony and the other engineers will have to give it a closer look. Maybe dismantle it for anything we can use. But- This new light showed up the night after we turned off the tower. Somehow.
The cameras are still running and nothing has changed since we left it.

[ Cobb is going to take a little moment to digest it. ]
So, you broke what was probably some sort of defense system? And now it's set up in some sort of... moving light in response?

Unless it had been a decoy all along.

Whatever that light is, they don't want us near it or really lookin' at it. Probably because of what you folks did to the first one. I think we're just gonna have to keep an eye on it and wait.
I just see what autocorrect did up there.... wow
context is so helpful
it certainly is <3
The energy storms are more inclined to do exactly what you said you are opposed of: Drag things out of your mind to use against you. You may want to mentally prepare for that.

Hence why I'm certain this will all bite me in the ass. [ There are lots of things in his past Cobb doesn't ever want to see again. ]

[ Which was a weird one for Jon. All the monsters he had come to loathe and fear tried to befriend him and welcome him as one of their own. ]
How do you get through a sandstorm that lasts for days?
no subject
[ That doesn't sound right even though he said it. ]
Fix things around the house. Sleep. Watch holos if you've got up. I knit.
no subject
[ Well, he doesn't know what holos are precisely, but he can guess. But that's less what catches his interest. ]
Knitting? You mean you could put that glowing wool of the glownies to actual use?
no subject
[ He shakes his head, sadly. ]
I can knit and sew but I don't know how to make yarn. That's a whole different thing. Old Jyssa in town would make it.

[ Sounds hot. At the same time he’d be curious to see these himself. ]

[ Cobb would be very skeptical most people here could survive Tatooine on their own. They all seem so... polished Core planet to him. It's an unfair judgement, probably. ]

[ Though the feeling Cobb gets may be justified. London may be pretty core world-y. ]

[ And now he's feeling a little homesick. ]
But if you can get my yarn I can knit things. Socks, scarves, gloves. Made a blanket once. Those take a long time.

[ Come on, there's life on your planet. ]
B-but yeah. I'm sure we can find a way to spin yarn from that wool.

[ When Cobb calls it a desert hellhole he is not kidding. ]
Could ask around and see if anyone knows. Maybe one of those data things has the information.

Also ...I find that hard to believe. An entire planet made of sand and nothing else. Are you sure the entire planet has been mapped out already?
no subject
[ Just, give him a moment to sigh. Yeah, he's not well educated but he knows his home planet. ]
There's maybe one percent or less surface water on the entire planet. What there is, is controlled by the Hutts. Some folks think it used to be an ocean planet once but I think that's a load of bantha shit. It's always been dunes, canyons, and rocks.
