Lost Lion. Please Help?

This was certainly not the last place that Shiro remembered being. He had last remembered returning to Earth and ending up with his new robotic arm. As he stood there for a long moment, wracking his brain, there wasn't much more after that. Certainly, there wasn't enough he would have suddenly found himself here in a world that seemed far more dilapidated than the Garrison was with far fewer technologies.

The information that suddenly came to him was certainly helpful, but very disturbing to him. After all, what had most of his recent life been like other than some other being deciding he needed to be somewhere that he didn't consent to going?

Typical.

But Shiro was out in the town and exploring. Sure, he had the device and he did pause a few times to review it, specifically looking at the map more than anything else, but still, he'd rather see them for himself. After he had figured out where he was going, he could see if there was anything that he could assist with. If he was going to be here, might as well do something productive.

"Cool. I spend a lot of time there, come on."

Tommy smiles and leads him on to the large glass structure. It's definitely not a normal green house, with various levels such as it is.

"Most of our fresh food comes from here. Just inside here there is a whole supply of seeds. I'm trying to propagate some. There's a datapoint here, helps us figure out what is edible and how to care for them. But we mostly rename the plants ourselves, because we don't speak the Agrii language."

Shiro followed him to the greenhouse. It made sense that if he cooked that he also spent time in the greenhouse. It was only normal in places where there wasn't a large economy.

As they arrived at the greenhouse, Shiro looked up at it, studying it with awe. It was quite impressive, especially having more than one level.

"Impressive. Well, if you need a hand, I can't say I have a green thumb but I can move stuff, dig holes, and hold a watering can."

"Well, we definitely always need help. And it isn't hard to teach the basics. People help out sometimes even without the datapoint."

And for the moment, Tommy felt that acute pain that came with Vision not being around.

"Most of the stuff here you can eat raw. I don't recommend it all the time. We've been trying to set up a shared document on the communicators for what is and isn't easily edible, what we call things, stuff like that. This place also connects through to what seems like a bit of acreage for animals. We mostly keep Glownies."

"I'll certainly do that. I'll look at the datapoint as well to try and get an idea of what is there."

He raised an eyebrow at the last part. "Glownies?"

Tommy just grins as he keeps them going into the flowering area.

"So, imagine small ponies. Except they are covered with fluffy wool. And they glow in the dark."

He's so pleased to describe them.

"They're cute. And love mint. You can just feed them handfuls of them."

Shiro continued to follow him, hanging on his every word.

"Ah! Then that makes sense. I'd like to see one of those."

They sounded adorable... and probably far more normal than other stuff he'd seen.

"Ask and I shall provide. Here."

Tommy holds out his hand.

"No reason to take the long way. Let me carry you?"

Shiro might have looked surprised for just a second when he asked to carry him then realized, yes, if he could run really fast that was obviously the quickest way to get there. Since Shiro could not run at a speed to match him, carrying was the best way to do that.

"Oh, yeah, that's fine."

Well then. Tommy smiles and moves forward, putting a hand behind Shiro's head. Sorry, man, but he's gotta make sure your next doesn't snap. He puts the other hand around Shiro's waist and lifts him just a bit off the ground. With one arm. Just around his waist. Yeah, Tommy's a touch strong. Then he moves.

In the space of two blinks of the eye they're in a different, but connected building. Tommy puts Shiro down and smiles, heading to one of the barns where the fluffy creatures at feeding.

"Come on, they're adorable."

Shiro certainly wasn't going to complain about that. He's broken a lot already; doesn't exactly want to break his neck.

There wasn't much time to process how fast they were moving. Really, by the time he had fully realized it, they had already stopped. Now it was going to take a moment to process that they'd gone that far, but he collected himself quickly and began to follow, wanting to see the creatures.

"Looking forward to it."

Damn, the guy took the brief G-Forces well. Tommy completely approved. He grinned and shook his head, gesturing for the guy to follow him toward the shelter.

"You're just positive for a weird situation," he laughs, moving to the shelter. ANd from his pocket he produced, well, a handful of peppermint. Yep, there were already glowing creatures approaching. So fluffy and cute.

It came with training to go to space... and piloting a giant robot lion.

"I've seen a lot of weird things in my time. This is barely the half of it."

Oooo, look at the glowing creatures, of course coming for a snack.

"Amazing. Just amazing."

Yeah, it still was something that made Tommy a bit impressed.

"Here," Tommy says with a smile, offering more mint out to Shiro. "They're pretty gentle."

"Thanks." Shiro took the offered mint and stepped closer towards the approaching creatures, making a sound that he hoped would beckon them over to him.

"Here, little guys."

Tommy smiles as he watches Shiro.

"If you like them, there's always need for hands to help manage the things," he explains, arms crossed as Shiro feeds the little creatures.

"They are very nice," Shiro said as one of the glownies came up to snack on the mint that he was holding. "I wouldn't mind spending something with these guys."

It was very relaxing and they were quite sweet that he had seen so far.

Look at that. Nice guy, nice animals. It works.

"Well, they could use company from time to time. It's not a bad thing," he says softly, smiling.

"You have a gentle touch, clearly."

"I would say this certainly isn't a bad task to have."

He smiled faintly watching the glownies.

"Thanks. I never really got to spend too much time around animals when I was younger... but I always liked them."

"I never spent much time around plants back home. Now I'm one of the leads on managing our food," Tommy answers with a shrug, still smiling. "Sometimes you learn something new here."

And there's nothing wrong with liking the animals.

"I think there might be combs for their fur around here."

"Kind of amazing that," Shiro remarked. "Who knows? Maybe I will get to know these little guys better and work with them more."

Sure, he could do other stuff as well, but it seemed like it would be pretty relaxing to be around them.

"Huh. Let's see. They might like that."

"They would," Tommy agrees, and he gestures for the guy to join him. "Let me show you where they let stuff for these guys. Mostly they've just been grazing because people haven't taken care of them hands on as much. But, you know, they're like sheep. They can be sorta independent."

But it would be good if someone was watching herds, because then they could get more animals.

"I'll show you how to get back into the greenhouse from the connecting tunnels when you want, and show you where the mint is."

"Sounds good." And Shiro would follow after him. Since he rather liked the idea of helping to look after them, might as well see where everything was. "They seem to be doing well for not having people around so often."

Shiro might have to start looking after them more often.

"Sounds good. Seeing how to get back would be a good idea." Brain wasn't able to process how they had gotten here the first time.

"They did perfectly find for plenty of years before we got here. Animals, man, they're a wonder."

Tommy led Shiro over to a nice storage building and opened the doors.

"I think it's all in here. I don't come in much. A lot of the animals here aren't my thing. Except Kosmo."

"Yeah. Sometimes people wonder how animals got along without them. Most of the time, they don't actually need us."

Shiro followed him over and looked into the storage building when he opened the doors.

"Makes it easy." But at the last comment... "Kosmo? Wouldn't be a wolf would it?"

"Domesticated stuff we bred was definitely different, but these guys survived a long time before we got here."

And when Shiro asks, Tommy's shocked. Oh wow.

"A blue one, teleports? Owner named Keith?"
