Lost Lion. Please Help?

This was certainly not the last place that Shiro remembered being. He had last remembered returning to Earth and ending up with his new robotic arm. As he stood there for a long moment, wracking his brain, there wasn't much more after that. Certainly, there wasn't enough he would have suddenly found himself here in a world that seemed far more dilapidated than the Garrison was with far fewer technologies.

The information that suddenly came to him was certainly helpful, but very disturbing to him. After all, what had most of his recent life been like other than some other being deciding he needed to be somewhere that he didn't consent to going?

Typical.

But Shiro was out in the town and exploring. Sure, he had the device and he did pause a few times to review it, specifically looking at the map more than anything else, but still, he'd rather see them for himself. After he had figured out where he was going, he could see if there was anything that he could assist with. If he was going to be here, might as well do something productive.

"I have never heard of either so those so I will take your word for it."

And it was a shame that there was more like the Galra out there even in different universes.

But a distraction is definitely good to get him to stop thinking about it.

"Yeah, I think that they do too."

Brushing cute animals would certainly help.

"Nah, don't take all of my word on it. They're getting better. Almost good galactic citizens or whatever. Their new leader is a good guy."

His brother-in-law actually, and one of Tommy's best friends. It worked out.

Still, they have to get the animals in line for brushing, and Tommy offers his own brushes over to Shiro.

"I'll go wrangle them. Stay here."

"That's good at least. I don't know that the Galra are getting better as a whole."

He still hadn't seen the end yet. He knew that they were coming.

"Sounds good. I'll be here," he said as he took the brushes from Tommy.

After a moment Tommy returns, a glownie held under each arm. They're squirming, clearly not used to such treatment, but he does manage to put them down with out too much issue.

Shiro chuckled as Tommy came back with a glownie under each arm. Small horses they certainly were that they could be carried like that. Shiro, gently coaxing one of them closer once it was put down so that he would be able to brush it properly.

"That's it. You like that?"

He knew that the glownie couldn't answer him, but still.

Helped, of course, that Tommy could probably actually lift a normal sized horse. Tommy just smiles at Shiro and shakes his head. What a guy.

"Seems happy to me. You're good with them already.'

Shiro probably could too, but he wouldn't have considered carrying one of the glownies under each arm. Well, at least not yet. Maybe if he was around them more often, he would have gotten the idea to do that. Well, now the idea had been planted in his head.

"Yeah, definitely seems happy. Who would have thought I'd have turned out to be an animal whisperer."

He chuckled at that.

"Animal magnetism. You've got the gentleness, and the smile," Tommy answers as he puts the other down too.

"These are the nice animals, though. We've got all sorts. We've been lucky the ones native here have been nice so far."

Shiro nodded. Apparently, that was true. Animals did seem to like people who were being nice to them and he had done nothing to show them that he couldn't be trusted.

"Oh? So there are ones that are not?"

“One one planet we went to, I helped hunt down a thing that looked like a boar with bunny ears that was about the size of an elephant,” Tommy offered. “And it had a boar’s personality.”

Boars were always dangerous. Tommy sat down and started to comb his own glownie.

“Something tells me you’ll adjust well here. Especially since you have friends around.”

"A boar... with bunny ears? Okay, if it works for them. Oh man though, something like an elephant with a boar's personality? Definitely dangerous. Hopefully, no one was injured."

"Thanks. Yeah... it will be easier with Keith here. Do you know if there are any others from my and Keith's world as well?"

"Nah, Raph and I took it down," Tommy shrugged. "Hauled it all back to the village so we could trade it for salted meat. It's been feeding us."

Others from Keith's world, huh?

"There's a dude he's always hanging with. Hispanic, seems to think he's something awesome, slightly ridiculous, has a pet cow?"

He's already forgotten the name.

Shiro thought about that for a moment before nodding. "I guess it would be, that much meat."

Shiro laughed at that description. "That would be Lance."

If it wasn't, he'd be scared there was someone else who matched it so well.

"Lance, yeah, that sounds right," Tommy agrees as he keeps working the glownie's thick wool. And he has to pause to pull the loose wool free.

"Seems like you've got a family."

Shiro was also pulling some of the glownie's wool free. It probably felt good. A little cooler and not as burdensome. The little thing seemed happy at least.

"Yeah, they've become my family. There's also Pidge, Hunk, Allura, and Coran."

As much as he would have liked to be able to see all of them, them not being here was for the best so he wouldn't wish that they were.

"I've been lucky too. My twin brother, his husband, even my not-quite-mom? Well, she's the same person as my soul-mom is in my universe, but we call her Aunt Wanda here because it's sorta awkward when she's not much older than I am."

This was a very weird place, and Tommy did his best to not break people's brains with it.

"It's nice, having support."

"Sounds like an interesting situation going on from your world. So your mother is here, but also not at the same time?"

...Husband. It made his mind drift for a moment back to things they had just learned about in their world. He had kind of put it out his mind... for the most part because they'd had work to do back home and now he was here, but it slowly snuck in for a moment before he shook himself of it.

"It's good to have support."

"Yeah," Tommy agrees. It's complicated. "So, alternate realities exist. And basically she's from one really near mine, whereas yours might be really far away from mine. People are brought here from different versions of their worlds, or even different times in the same one. Like I'm way further ahead in time than Teddy who is further ahead than Billy. So I'm the only one that's been to their wedding yet."

It's a weird thing, but he's taken it in stride. "I think I'm actually the furthest one ahead in time from my world, other than their bodyguard."

"Huh... that is very strange. Interesting to know that alternate realities exist. I never would have believed it. I mean there was this one guy... he was a brilliant scientist but he said a lot of weird things... like having to fold a blanket perfectly otherwise the world would explode. Something like that. He probably would have predicted the probability of alternate realities."

There's something ironic about this that even Shiro doesn't realize.

Yeah that... sounds weird. But he supposes the same was true of genius scientists back home too. IT's enough to make him smirk.

"You should avoid our weird ass resident genius, then. I think Tony would wanna take your arm apart to see how it worked. Don't let him, okay? You should be left in balance."

"Really? Does he also have to make sure to avoid stepping on cracks because there's an astronomically small chance that it will actually break his mother's back?"

Please tell him that's not the case...

"Yeah, not going to let him take it apart. I kind of need it."

“Nah. Stark strikes me as the guy that would have tested that when he was a kid and moved on,” Tommy admits with a chuckle. At least he apparently had that one thing better than Shiro.

“If he’s ever giving you trouble, call me, okay? I’ll be there to help.”

"Oh well, at least he's stopped with that. Slav believed that... along with the odds of how likely he was to drown in less than an inch of water..."

Yeah, he doesn't really like Slav...

"Thanks. I'll be sure to do that."

Hey, for all Tommy knows, Tony never bothered talking much about his youth. And with the guy so much older than Tommy, they weren't exactly peers. At all.

"Cool. Would hate letting Stark mess with you too much."

"Sounds like you've got some interesting characters here," Shiro remarked.

He says as he is sitting here brushing a glownie and seeming very content about it.
