[The video clicks on to a... Slightly older looking Altair, in clothes much finer than he wore before. He looks perhaps a bit more tired than ever, though not confused- so it's safe to assume he remembers his time on Agra 10.]

Back again, then. And... [He looks around, unfamiliar surroundings, but his memories are true- another trip off planet thanks to the Agrii then?] In the middle of some sort of event, it seems? A little hotter here than I would have preferred, but beggars can't be choosers.

[At least this time around, he'd been taken from a somewhat calmer situation. He'd been standing contemplating the Eternal Throne, and then he was here. He really can't complain. Given that he couldn't remember Agra 10 during his absence from it, he's sure the GEMINI Captains won't go rogue without him.] How long has it been since I was here?

It feels like forever, but...

[He's going to need to seek out some people regardless, he supposes.]

I am. And happy to see another friendly face.

[He offers a smile. He's already been informed that it hasn't been very long at all, but still.]

Glad to see you're hanging in there. [Not okay, maybe. The storm was pretty bad when he disappeared, so he would've had to deal with that.

But hanging in there, at least.]

[A partial smile twitches on Cal's face.]

As well as I can.

[He's not going to even talk about the storm, and as strange as the place that they've found themselves in is, he's just glad to be away from storms and ruins.]

...where were you? Did...did you actually go home?

[That had been the report anyway, but who could really know?]

I did. Though I did not remember being here when I returned... And it was as though no time had passed at all.

[He'd had to deal with the fallout after Ziost. He'd visited that dead world again, stood on the surface, seen what had become of it.

Still, that is very long ago for him, now.] I was home for a long time. Over seven years. So much has changed now...

[ Calvin is grinning as he sits, shirtless and on a blanket on the beach, as he waves into the camera. All that is left of his wound is a nasty scar on his chest, thanks to the doc, Eli, and now some 24th-century tech. ]

It has been quite some time for me. Less here, though.

[Still, he's glad to see that Calvin's well.]

I'm glad to see you've recovered. I hope someone checked in on you while I was away- I wouldn't have left you alone in that hospital had it been up to me.

[ He grins, and nods, rising. ]

Yeah, mostly some guy named Eli? But others helped, too.

And I know. You're a good guy.

[ He nods again. ] Let me buy you a drink, doc.

I'm glad to hear Eli checked in on you. He's a good person, and a good friend.

[Altair's got nothing but kind words when it comes to Eli.

About himself being a good person though...] I would say that depends entirely on who you're asking. All men have an equal capacity for good or evil. I'm not entirely sure where I would ultimately fall.

And of course- I could use a drink, actually. [He smiles. Meeting up in person would be nice too, just so he can be absolutely certain Calvin's okay.

Altair supposes he might have a decent personality to be a healer, after all.]

[ While they are all being forced to take a vacation on some vacation planet, indeed. Jon is... Not impressed. But deep down he may be glad enough to see this at least remotely familiar face. ]

[ Why, yes. That's the hint of a smirk. But not in a mean way. ]

I suppose you could call it a promotion, yes. I'd give much to only be a Lord, but sometimes a man must do as life requires of him, rather than follow his own wishes.

[Altair definitely wouldn't call it fate, even if many had, when he was fighting to seize the throne, but... It definitely felt like something he needed to do, rather than something he wanted to do.

Stability after such a long war was, after all, necessary.] I take it you don't agree with being sent away on vacation?

[Probably better to focus on that.]

[Wait....Altair's back too? This was turning out to be good time for him. He had his whole family back. He couldn't believe his luck. Eli couldn't help but grin and bounce a little in his step. For once he wasn't wearing his usual uniform, but regular civilian clothing.]

Altair! I'm so glad you came back....I had thought you left for good....I've been watching over Re-1 for you and helping Calvin too.

Eli. [He gives a slight nod in greeting.]

Honestly, given how long it's been for me, had I been aware that I'd left...

[He would've thought he left for good, too.] Thank you for looking after them. How were things, after I left? I assume the storm ended without anyone getting injured?

Yeah, everyone got back okay it seemed. Supplies were also still holding firm as well. Where are you at so we can catch up and I can bring you Re-1. He's pretty excited to see you are back.

[Eli lowered the device so Altair could see the droid bouncing around and making noises.]

[Altair smiles.] Glad to hear it.

[And he's glad to see RE-1 too.] I'll come to you and fetch him. And catch up, as well, of course.

Oddly enough, it's Emperor Kallig now. Strange what a little bit of time can do, no?

[It really is, though he is just joking a little. He is Emperor, but here he's just himself.]

Just "Altair" is still fine, Vector. I may be Emperor at home, but here, I'm just me.
