It becomes clear it's some sort of workout music of sorts, and once it plays through, it repeats itself.

Basically? No-holds-bar matches. Fights between Guardians where they can go all out, prove their skills. Not for the faint of heart- or non-Guardians who can't revive.

Well, the "fun" part definitely depends on the person. I know when you can't die your sense of thrill can get pretty warped.

Oh, you know. A big bad decides life's not fair and we don't deserve the things we get- even if we technically did not ask for it, but you know what? We don't take lightly to people takin' our stuff.

Oh! Past that, my friend. Rallied our forces, snuck back into our own city, lost an arm while trying to set up a portal to get one of our best Guardians up close and personal with Gary or whatever his name was. Long story short, we got our Light back.

The big bad I mentioned? A leader of a faction of Cabal- these space rhino guys- called themselves the Red Legion.

The Cabal aren't anything new we've fought before but this guy was different. Different goal, different methods, different kind of ruthless.

Ah, you know how it goes. Still pockets of them here and there, some would-be's trying to power grab but they don't have the same kind of carry as he did so no one lasts long.
