Different Things To Save
WHO: Lark, Noctis, Link
WHERE: Livestock Nursery, Somewhere in Eastern Temba
WHAT: Lark needs saved from monsters, and later Links tunic needs saved from stains
WHEN: Beginning and end of monster hunts
WARNINGS: N/A
I. Rescued In Time | Closed to Noctis
Earth trembles weren't so strange a thing that they immediately roused Lark from sleep when they were so... limited. She's survived a great earthquake in recent memory, so he wasn't shocked to have slept through whatever was going on now. That she'd managed to slip to the pens where the glownies were kept, where the creatures whickered with distress with something else.
Apparently she'd been lucky enough to make her way over when the Bearger was wandering elsewhere, but now she could see the thing looming in the distance.
"Oh dear," she said, her voice a touch concerned. That was... a bit larger than most things she'd had to defend herself against in the past. What was she to do?
II. What Are You Wearing? | Closed to Link
Truly this had been quite the experience, hadn't it? Monsters terrorizing the city on quite this scale was a new one for her, and Lark was a bit emotionally shaken. But she had been gotten out of the main area of risk and sent off to find her own shelter. Something she was coming out of now that the power was back and people seemed to be reporting success on the network.
"What a dreadful thing that was," she said with a sigh as she straightened herself a bit and stepped out onto the street. She needed to check in on people, be certain they were okay. And make more bandages if needed.
If only she knew where to find them.

He does slow when he spots Lark, however. Gives her a quick "Hi."
This might also be the point where Lark notices that Link - and everything he's wearing - is an absolute mess. He's covered in dirt and grime, thanks to that one time when he fell of the mgoose. There's a few stray bloodstains. And feathers. Lots of feathers, from something very large, now stuck in his clothes.
no subject
What a mess the man was. It was hard to believe. What had happened to him?
"Are you alright?"
no subject
He does, however, then look at Lark with a faintly embarrassed air, one arm anxiously scratching behind his head. "Do you know how to clean clothes?"
Since right now, they very much needed it. And Link no longer had the korok pack, which always seemed to magically clean his clothes for him...
no subject
"Yes, of course," she says, so confused and mildly distressed.
no subject
But laundry. Laundry is a whole new, entirely unfamiliar challenge. One which, thanks to the mgoose, he needs to get a handle on right now.
"...Can you show me how?"

"I see. Well then, we should probably get going to the ships then, so you can get those clean."

IT had been a relief to see higher technology for that end.

Immediately, his mind pictures a Guardian at a river, using it's long spider-like mechanical legs to repeatedly dunk in a piece of clothing.
no subject
no subject
"...With legs?" he says, as he follows her. Surely even if this machine doesn't look like a Guardian, it must have some kind of mechanical appendage that does the spinning?

they can ftb the telling so that there isn't stress over it

Noctis wanted to go with him, but had a feeling something was going to be off everywhere, so his first thought was to go check on his new little four legged charges.
Getting there, Noctis saw Lark and he made his way over to her side, before realizing what she was looking at.
Smiling at her, the king nodded. "Bigger they are, the harder they fall."
no subject
"Oh, it's horrible."
no subject
Sighing, he looked at the thing and silently wished his shield was here with him. However, the king knew that Gladio was no doubt helping other people at the moment and Lark was here needing his.
"If you look at it that way. I guess the guys and I back home had a warped sort of view regarding fights."
Like Ignis and his looking forward to coffee after the battles.
no subject
"My concern now is being safe."
no subject
Actually he'd keep her safe and that was of course priority, as it always was.
no subject
"Help me. We can gather baskets of mint and that could be used to lure the Glownies somewhere safer."
Because of could she could not imagine leaving them in danger.
no subject
His eyes watched the menace still a bit away and he then looked back at the mage. "Let's get going."
no subject
But she nods and runs for the food shed. Better to do this quickly.
no subject
But once he determined that nothing would be an imminent threat, he ran after the mage. Once he got to the shed, he grabbed a basket.
"Hope they don't take long to get the idea of following us around."
no subject
"With mint I don't think that will take too long for them to do."
no subject
no subject
"Alright," she says once she has her basket filled, "let's go."
