Those of you who spend your days in the greenhouse, has anyone found any plant with properties that might aid one's sleep?
[There's a brief pause.] Knock yourself out with the fruit that makes you feel drunk is not a valid answer to this question, by the way. Nor is bang your head against the nearest tree until your vision goes black.
[He pauses again, considers,] And should none have an answer, what do you do, when sleep refuses to come or when it is more restless than restful?

I find it easier when I'm sleeping with someone. Or if I'm alone, then I have different techniques for keeping my mind quiet so I can sleep. Reading. Special breathing. That sort of stuff. Sometimes it works.
Anything in particular keeping you up? Or just restless?
Voice;
[When was the last time he got knocked out on account of someone else, he wonders? It's... Been a while. Still, being that vulnerable around someone he doesn't know too well isn't exactly on his to-do list.]
People to sleep with and something to read... Not exactly something we have in abundance here, but normally I'd agree. With the reading part, anyway. As for breathing and meditation for that matter, that only works so long as I'm awake. The second I drop off to sleep...
[Nightmares. But he doesn't say that, of course.]
Oh, there is something in particular keeping me up, but not something I'd trouble a young mind with.
[Never mind that he's only in his early twenties himself.]
Voice
People to sleep with works the best for me. But that's kind of in short supply here, I get it.
Bad dreams?
Sometimes it helps to talk about it.
Voice;
[And they're all stuck, so it's better for them to all get along.]
Bad dreams, yes. I've been told talking it out helps.
[He does not sound inclined to share.]
Voice;
[A pause...yeah okay, maybe he doesn't want to press this.]
Or um...writing about it in a journal? If there's no one you're comfortable talking to. Just...getting it out helps your brain stop turning it around so much.
Voice;
[...]
I'll keep that advice in mind.
[Honestly it's more that he doesn't wish to burden anyone. But he can't exactly say that. Or rather, he doesn't really want to.]
Voice;
But I can definitely get you some lavender.

[...] Uprooted from our homes as we are, I doubt I'm alone in being unsettled, though. Had I thought myself alone I would not have posed the question to the network, after all.

At home I would get up and make tea, maybe bake something. But if you want tea for sleeping I think you will have to ask the Agrii.

[He wonders if he could Force persuade himself to sleep... But then he'd have the same problem of not being able to wake, wouldn't he...]
I think I'll take my chances with the sleeplessness. Or perhaps see if I can't find something useful in the greenhouse.

[That would be the dream, wouldn't it? No more sleeplessness, no more anxiety...]
Sometimes just getting up and doing anything else can help.

[Truly.]
If I did that I don't think I'd sleep at all, if I'm being perfectly honest.

I've been researching a bit on how to make a calming tea. I noticed that you were having trouble sleeping and was trying to find ways to help. Your post simply confirmed my concerns.
action;
[The question is humorous in tone, his usual dry humor, though not in nature. Even with his veil, he knows he looks tired. Like he's three times as old as he is, and twice as worn out.
He's been running on empty for a while now, and it's coming back to bite him in the ass.] I'll be alright, but thank you for your concern.
[A pause.] And the tea.
action;
[He simply shook his head not amused.]
This particular tea is supposed to give you a dreamless sleep. The herbs were hard to find, but I manaed to find a small handful and I saved some to try and grow as well.
action;
[He sighs softly.] Sith are driven by their fear, but this...
[Another sigh, and he reaches up beneath his veil to pinch the bridge of his nose.] This is different.
[Not that he wants to talk about it...] I'll help you with the herbs. I am not the only one who struggles with sleep.
action;
Everyone has their limits. I hope that eventually you can come to terms with what's been triggering your nightmares.
[He handed the tea over to Altair to drink.]
For now I just want you to catch up on your rest. You're already worn out.
action;
[...
... He accepts the cup, and sighs again.] I'll be alright. I've been through worse.

Altair smiles, slightly, looking quite worn out, but he's happy to... Well, he can't see him, but he can hear him. And he knows Hux can see him, thus the video.] I would like that. Thank you, Hux.
Video;
I've had my fair share of days where I can't sleep. More then likely you will probably find me working. I tend to sleep only for a few hours when I do sleep.
I'm sure Milli will be quite happy to see you as well.
Video;
[He thinks his species might need less sleep than a human does, but it's not something he's willing to say over the network, just in case that's a Chiss trait rather than a Pantoran one.]
Only a few hours though. Do I need to get on your case about not taking care of yourself?
[There's a tone of humor to his voice and he can't help but smile a little. That was a joke.] I'll bring something for her to eat.
[...] And something for you, as well.
Video;
[Hux paused to pet Millicent and looked back up at Altair.]
Please, don't trouble yourself over my needs. I'm happy to just to have you around.
Video;
[He looks and sounds quite amused- he's not poking fun at him, so much as it being a friendly bit of humor. He knows trust is difficult for Hux, trust in a Force-sensitive even more so. So really, he's happy that he welcomes his company.] Thank you. I will bring you something to eat, though.
