[ Garak too has grown tired of not having various options so far as his wardrobe goes. As he solves Wanda's problem, he will too solve his own. ]
I'm afraid I haven't heard of either of those ships. I lived on a space station called Deep Space Nine, formerly Terok Nor. [ He will refuse to acknowledge that the Cardassians are calling it that again. ] The ship I was on before coming here was the Defiant.
[ He doesn't expect recognition, but there's no harm in asking. ]

[He narrows his eyes and ponders those names, but they match nothing from his own memory.]
Nowhere local to any place I've been, I'm afraid. But I did always like visiting stations - the rhythm of life is different from a planet or a ship, especially the small ships like these. Was the Defiant a larger vessel?
[They'll get to the kitchen soon, but he's genuinely curious. Most of the kidnapees in the Fleet had come from a time long before spaceships, or from worlds with magic instead.]

[ He lowers his head as they move through the hallway, closer to the dining area. ] Once we are all out of here, of course. We all have much more pressing matters at hand.
[ Such as getting released from the ships. He certainly hopes that at least someone somewhere will be able to figure out how to do that. ]
It is, but not by much. From mere observation, I'd say it's over twice as large from bow to stern, and it was certainly taller than this one. There were a few more people on the crew, but the space was managed differently. We all had our rooms, for instance.

That would be an excellent start. My old ship, the Windrose, was the same base model as this but had been upgraded to have separate cabin space for each of twelve passengers, with a slightly larger captain's quarters.
[He ducks into the galley kitchen and continues talking even as he finds some cups.] And a larger kitchen space, with a spice rack and a coffee machine and automatically-repleneshing supplies of various other foodstuffs. I wonder why the Agrii copied only the basic SS model rather than the upgraded ones, if they're so concerned with our comfort?

[ Garak's voice is quieter, but he can't speak much for that, lacking in any extraordinary abilities himself. At least abilities of that sort, of course.
He helps the Vision prepare them both drinks, watching him curiously all the while. Parts of him seem to be machinery, but Garak wouldn't say that he is a machine. And he is preparing two cups, so that must mean he can drink and eat just like other organic species. Curious, indeed. ]
It might be that their power is limited, or that they only had access to the schematics of the basic ship models.
[ He raises his eyebrows. ] Or they simply enjoy playing with us. Giving us more limited resources and poorer conditions just to see how we will fare.

Also, hopefully the hot beverage will help Garak.]
Or that they are so alien in their thought processes that they could not tell the difference, or why those differences might matter to us. Much like with the 'hero supplies' request box.
[He exhales in a huff.] I'd like to think they're not simply toying with us, but that would be the simplest explanation. And those are so much more often correct than complex theories.

That could be it, as well. I guess we might never know for sure, unless we ever get to meet the Agrii. Even then, I highly doubt it we will be able to establish communication with them.
[ They don't seem to be able to decipher even their simplest words and requests, after all. ]
Hmm, unfortunately. I have heard that the Fleet that so many have come from started by being some kind of entertainment show? So it's not that improbable if that's what's happening here as well.

[Oh, he could complain, certainly, but in his experience that doesn't tend to be very productive.
He takes another sip of tea.]
A reality show, if you have those where you're from. We were never certain if there were actually any viewers or if that part was all a fabrication, but it seems the Agrii were watching after all. I can't say it's a comfort.

[ Things would get lost in translation, quite literally in this case. Garak has a feeling that there are much better things to spend their time on. ]
We don't. Some have tried to explain it to me, but I confess I have a difficult time imagining it. Regardless, the concept isn't very unlike what we are dealing with here. We can't really know for certain that all this wasn't engineered by them to the last detail.

Even so, I'm inclined to believe the Agrii are what they say they are until we learn otherwise. This does all seem like an act of ignorance rather than malice.

[ The need to own, to consume and to profit, ah... that will always remind him more of the Ferengi. It's a wonder how they haven't sold each other out to extinction. ]
I think I will remain the skeptical of the two. If nothing else I'll be pleasantly surprised if and when I'm proven wrong.

[And then he shakes his head to clear it.] That's a good attitude as well. that way, we can be prepared either way, can't we?
