[There's a short burst of static as Altair fiddles with the still unfamiliar tech. He's more used to holocomms, though this isn't entirely that different. Given the usefulness of the thing, he's sure he'll get the hang of it eventually, anyway. For now? Just getting it to stay on voice in a network post he's made himself, rather than as a reply to someone else is an a small victory.]
Greetings, all. Some of you I have met before, but allow me to introduce myself properly- I am called Kallig and I come to you today with a question- those of you who have powers, have you noticed any changes in their nature, at all? If so, might I ask the nature of the change?
[A pause.] I was something of a... [Information hoarder.] Scholar, back home.
[Not a complete lie, definitely not the whole truth.] You all might see then, why I thrive on information.
I thought it prudent to check in with you all.
If we are being tossed together to see what'll stick, then we should probably try to get to know each other enough to not wish harm on one another in the future.
Knowing if any of you are used to or not used to interstellar travel, that would be useful to know as well.

I can't say whether my speed is messed up or anything. Because not enough food and the like. But yeah, I used to be able to fuck with stuff to make it explode and now it's not doing that! At worst things crack. It's a mess!

Fuck with stuff and make it explode, how exactly?
[There's the slightest hint of relief to his voice though, that it's not just him. But that hint is only really noticeable if you really listen for it.]
If things still crack though, it sounds as though your power has only weakened, not disappeared completely.
[...] As for the situation with food, it's still a work in progress, I suppose.
[He's often out in the greenhouse, himself. Though he tends to slip in and out rather unnoticed, preferring to work by himself.]

[As if that is the only way it could ever been done. AS for the hint? Well, it's not like Tommy would care to listen for it. Duh. That would be boring.]
Dude, I could make things explode. Cracking is just really messed up and useless. And I farm tons, so there's food, but I can probably eat as much in a day as maybe taking half the population here who aren't, you know, super-soldiers.

[Staying positive? Possibly. Still, he understands the frustration.]
... There are super-soldiers here?
no subject
[Plural. All three of them that can claim to be a Captain. America, America, and Marvel. They're definitely super.]

[So much confusion. Is he supposed to have met them? Or even know who they are. The way it was said makes him think the answer to that is yes, but...]
no subject
[Duh, they're like, heroes and stuff. Tommy judges people who don't know who they are. Tommy, of course, is not being fair.]
no subject
[Now he is curious though.
Another thing to put on his list of things to look into, he supposes.]

[Considering the limited number of people, Altair is certain he'll run into them all at some point.]

[Oh great, Tommy. Offend a guy who might be disabled.]

Let's just go with "visuals don't matter for reasons that are entirely my own".

Your eyes are a weird color. They have cat pupils. They have GOAT pupils. They glow. They're radioactive.

[What? Why wouldn't the mutant kid be accepting of aliens? Especially when his brother-in-law-to-be is one?]

[Lies lies lies lies lies.]

So writing down a new alien species and taunting Billy with having met you first.
