[There's a short burst of static as Altair fiddles with the still unfamiliar tech. He's more used to holocomms, though this isn't entirely that different. Given the usefulness of the thing, he's sure he'll get the hang of it eventually, anyway. For now? Just getting it to stay on voice in a network post he's made himself, rather than as a reply to someone else is an a small victory.]

Greetings, all. Some of you I have met before, but allow me to introduce myself properly- I am called Kallig and I come to you today with a question- those of you who have powers, have you noticed any changes in their nature, at all? If so, might I ask the nature of the change?

[A pause.] I was something of a... [Information hoarder.] Scholar, back home.

[Not a complete lie, definitely not the whole truth.] You all might see then, why I thrive on information.




I thought it prudent to check in with you all.

If we are being tossed together to see what'll stick, then we should probably try to get to know each other enough to not wish harm on one another in the future.

Knowing if any of you are used to or not used to interstellar travel, that would be useful to know as well.

Your eyes are a weird color. They have cat pupils. They have GOAT pupils. They glow. They're radioactive.

My eyes are perfectly normal for my species, thank you.

Huh. That's cool. What species? I know Kree and Skrull and I met a girl from a world I can't pronounce. She glowed like all sorts of light and could shoot light from her hands.

[What? Why wouldn't the mutant kid be accepting of aliens? Especially when his brother-in-law-to-be is one?]

Never heard of those. Cool! I'm Tommy. I'm a mutant. Which is, like, a human subspecies or something.

So writing down a new alien species and taunting Billy with having met you first.

... I already met someone by that name.

You shouldn't happen to be the twin he was speaking about?

Stupid Billy and his obsession with meeting the aliens first. He always does that! Punk. Yeah, he's my twin. I'm the older brother. But he's got all the alien experience.

Does it really matter? Or is this merely some sibling competitiveness that I would have no clue about?

Nah, it doesn't. Just annoyed. But hey, that's not fair to you just because he's nosy about people.

He didn't seem particularly nosy, to me.
