"Looking hot, Caliente."

"Light or heavy? With that, I'm thinking a nice gray or black. Which would also go with about anything else.

"After this, find a place to get Beady a polish and paint job. He likes the idea. Droids should be pampered too."

As Tommy goes to peruse other racks, Cal goes to get his things from the changing room. Probably wouldn't hurt to find a better rucksack or something, but he supposes they'll have to find another shop for that.
no subject
He finally selects a few coats and offers them out. "Here, man."
no subject
BD-1 trills excitedly at that. Droid spa!
When Tommy holds out some coats, Cal sets his things to the side, taking the first to slip into. He tugs it into place, moving his arms to see how flexible the material is before he slips it off to try the next.
no subject
Jealous.
"You think there's a place that will do droids AND people?"
But then he's looking at Cal in the coat, circling, tugging at it. Yeah, looks like a fit.
no subject
He's liking the fit of the next jacket, grinning as Tommy helps ensure it's sitting in the right place. "This one feels all right," he says with a nod. "I'm liking how it looks. You?"
no subject
"If it feels right, then that is what matters. But it looks good with the blue, and your hair looks great."
no subject
Cal smiles lopsidedly, raking a hand through his hair. "You've been a lot of help though. I'll go get these paid for, and then we can go look up some places."
no subject
But he’s smiling. He likes helping. He takes a few minutes to grab more stuff for himself before moving to follow Cal.
“I can run things back to where we’re staying. I got a room, what about you?”
no subject
"If you don't mind," he says, once he's sure he's got everything he needs still with him.
no subject
“Don’t go too far away from here,” he insists, before rushing off. It takes a few minutes to get back. He was always delayed by doors and things like that. But when he was back he looked very content.
“Explore time?”
no subject
"Explore time," he says, even before he glances over at Tommy once he senses the speedster's return. "There's an area nearby that seems dedicated to droid-related businesses. We'll have to catch a ride across and a level down though."
no subject
“Really? A ride?” Tommy asks, wincing. “Any chance there’s a path I could run, to meet you there?”
He still wasn’t a fan of flying. Ever.
no subject
He points towards the nearby taxi landing pad. "We won't have to go far. It'll just take us across from there to that section over there."
no subject
“Then we’ll go. Come on.”
Don’t question it. He’ll be shaking too much if he gets called on it.
no subject
"It's just a quick ride," he says again in reassurance. He waves at the droid managing the taxi landings. "Just to the next platform over," he informs it, fishing out a few credits to cover for them. They're pointed over to one of the idling hover vehicles then, also manned by a droid.
no subject
“Better be fast. I hate going slow.”
Better than admitting he hated not being in control.
no subject
Honestly there was no help for anything going fast enough for Tommy's standards, but once they're set to go and the destination given, the ride is a smooth one, dipping down as the vehicle leaves the platform, suspended by repulsors as it glides across the gaping distance that allows for a glimpse of the seemingly endless lower levels that make up sectors and subsectors of the city, practically an entirely different world in themselves.
no subject
But soon they are landing and he's okay, so he'd claim. He's shaking. Gotta get his feet on the ground.
"Hate this planet."
no subject
Cal hops out, looking back at Tommy as the other disembarks. "Coruscant is one of the most populated and busiest. I don't think there are any other planets that have practically turned into an entire city."
no subject
It was never good.
"Can't be good for the planet, all this shit."
