Well, this is a situation. These Agrii need to work on their greeting.

[You can't see it, but you can probably hear the annoyed frown on his face under the helmet. Hear that Agrii? That's this bounty hunter's opinion on your whole orbs thing. He's thankful the kid didn't have to go through that crap. They're like something that the Empire would have used on prisoners. Even if it did give him useful information.

Speaking of the child, those paying attention might just be able to hear a low curious childish croon, and maybe see a peek of green, or even the tip of a pointy ear, from behind Mando's head/neck. Mando meanwhile ignores it for the moment.

My name is Mando [He'd tell his real name some other time, strangers didn't need to know. Not yet. So...how does one find work around here, and lodging. [Do they even do bounty hunting here?]

[Eli can't help but grin at the newcomer and kind of look at aww because...Mandorlorian. He had never seen one in person before. Granted he was now wary of his own Imperial Line Officer uniform and what it could mean to the other and shifted uncomfortable.

With hesitance, he spoke in a Wild Space accent. It wasn't his usual confident self, with how things have been of late.]

Lodging can be found in various places. There's the hotel or just taking an abandon building and claiming it as yours. I currently run an inn and a kitchen. If you're not ready to claim a place as your own feel free to take on a room at my inn.

Work....as far as I'm aware we don't get paid for?? We just have been working to get this place up and running. There are these delta points that give you information and various skills that will make adjusting here easier.

[Yeah. Din is eyeing that uniform so hard right now. Eyes narrowing some under the helmet.Not here very long, and already dealing with Imperial. Great.

The information about the lodging was useful. Wouldn't be the first time he lived in a run down place. The Tribe lived in the sewers after all.]

You? You're offering me lodging? [Can you hear the skepticism, Eli? Though you're certainly nicer than most Imperials he's met. There has to be a catch.]

Yes, I'm aware that sounds ridiculous coming from someone like me. I'm not sure what point in time you're from....but I understand the Imperial Navy doesn't have a popular view as it once did in it's time.

When I joined... it was back before it became corrupted and became the navy that people despised. I joined because then it was considered a reputable job and a chance to get out of Wild Space.

We only just learned about the Death Star and what it's purpose was intent for. I was beginning to see the corruption of the navy. It wasn't something I supported. I only tolerated it because I was loyal to my Grand Admiral and not the Empire itself. Once I had been loyal to the Empire, but not now. The two of us and most of our crew didn't support what the Death Star stood for. It went against what we believed in. I'm disappointed in what we became.

--Yes there are various kinds of delta points. I picked up the agriculture one. There's a pilot one, an engineering one, medical...and a few others.

[This actually gives Din pause as he listens to Eli's explanation. Of course Din had heard of the Death Star, what it did and was capable of. Who didn't. To be fair, it sounds almost insane, different time lines, and talking to somebody who was so....early.]

So what did you do, then?

I wasn't there, but I know the Death Star was destroyed, and a second one. [He considers his next words.] As for before I was...dragged here. The Empire is gone, as of five years ago. The only ones left from it are Imperial remnants, and warlords. [Including Gideon and his forces. But as far as Din knows, Gideon and his forces are dead.]

Are these other points the same experience as the one that greets you?

My Grand Admiral sent me to his people. He felt I would serve them better and learn more from them. He knew I was getting uncomfortable with how things were going and felt that was the best option for me.

I'm aware about the second one. There is another here that had informed me of what had happened. I am glad that both were destroyed. Someone just recently arrived from a new Empire called the First Order? I think these were your remnants of the old Empire.

I believe so? You're capable of changing the delta point to what suits your needs. But you will forget everything you learned. I haven't changed my delta point yet, although I know people here who had.

[He shrugs.] I'd imagine there's much to do, though. Maybe not the work any of us are used to, but everyone's got to eat, everyone does need a roof above their heads that won't come crashing down on them...

I'm used to work as a bounty hunter. Something that's not needed here. [Or doesn't seem to be needed.] It's going to take getting used to. [He's adapted to worse. He'll just have to do so again. As much as he is reluctant to do so.]

[While it's tempting, and would probably win over some new 'hunter. Din's hardly new to it. There's a reason why he was considered expensive, and legendary, back in his world.]

Work is generally 'help fix things' and 'look out for each other.' There doesn't seem to be any form of currency but I guess that's to be expected given the circumstances.

A sigh escapes him, a little friustrated at the situation he and the child have been tossed into.]

That's the feeling I'm getting. [He says about the work.] This is going to take some adjustment for me. This place doen't need a bounty hunter. [He's not above helping people, certainly. But he's not completely sure what he could help fix, short of a ship.]

I've been told about these other delta points that give information. I'm going to have to look into them. [He grimaces under the helmet. He's not looking forward to going through that again.]

The data points sound useful, but I can't help but be wary about them. Mostly because I'm not too crazy about having information downloaded into my head like a droid.

I'm getting that feeling. This isn't the first time, I've had to stay in buildings like this. [Or being short on supplies. Being on the run makes for interesting times.] And it looks like most of you are faring well here, too.

[He raises an unseen eyebrow at the beep off screen. Oh a droid. There may just be an inquisitive burble from over his shoulder.]

Neither am I. They need to find another way to give that information. [Being treated like a droid isn't helping their first impression.]

[Billy gives a bit of a curious head tilt, thinking he hears something kind of familiar and childlike, but no one's come in with anything like a child before.]

Hey, I'm Billy. Um, we don't really have like...traditional jobs around here. It's more sort of a cooperative kind of thing. But most people have found a place to sleep in the hotel. The big building. That or the ships, those at least have bunks and easier access to food and showers and stuff.

What he's promising is true....however. I need to point out that we are not in the realm to grant you such items. It will be an empty promise. I also need to remind you that the Agri may not take kindly to what Kylo Ren wishes to do. Your efforts would be wasted on this bounty offer.

There's a member of the Resistance--a group that's been opposing the First Order. He's one of their leaders, but as of this time not a real threat either. There is no one else among the Resistance here.

If I were to call the shots it's not worth the effort to hunt him down. There are other things to worry about then one pilot.

[Listen, you don't survive thirty some odd years of war. Plus The Great Purge of your people, by being stupid. Din may not be the smartest ever, but his years of experience have made him street smart. Space smart? At least smarter than many of his fellow bounty hunters.]

Yes. Like surviving. [If Din's gotta be honest. He's not all that impressed with the Agrii, and what they expect of them so far. At least after talking to other people.

He jerks his head, like he's jerking his chin up.]
