[Everyone on the network is used to being greeted by a face. Well, this time said face is covered up by a shiny silver helmet, with a T-shaped visor.]

Well, this is a situation. These Agrii need to work on their greeting.

[You can't see it, but you can probably hear the annoyed frown on his face under the helmet. Hear that Agrii? That's this bounty hunter's opinion on your whole orbs thing. He's thankful the kid didn't have to go through that crap. They're like something that the Empire would have used on prisoners. Even if it did give him useful information.

Speaking of the child, those paying attention might just be able to hear a low curious childish croon, and maybe see a peek of green, or even the tip of a pointy ear, from behind Mando's head/neck. Mando meanwhile ignores it for the moment.

Anyway....]

My name is Mando [He'd tell his real name some other time, strangers didn't need to know. Not yet. So...how does one find work around here, and lodging. [Do they even do bounty hunting here?]

[Eli can't help but grin at the newcomer and kind of look at aww because...Mandorlorian. He had never seen one in person before. Granted he was now wary of his own Imperial Line Officer uniform and what it could mean to the other and shifted uncomfortable.

With hesitance, he spoke in a Wild Space accent. It wasn't his usual confident self, with how things have been of late.]

Lodging can be found in various places. There's the hotel or just taking an abandon building and claiming it as yours. I currently run an inn and a kitchen. If you're not ready to claim a place as your own feel free to take on a room at my inn.

Work....as far as I'm aware we don't get paid for?? We just have been working to get this place up and running. There are these delta points that give you information and various skills that will make adjusting here easier.

[Yeah. Din is eyeing that uniform so hard right now. Eyes narrowing some under the helmet.Not here very long, and already dealing with Imperial. Great.

The information about the lodging was useful. Wouldn't be the first time he lived in a run down place. The Tribe lived in the sewers after all.]

You? You're offering me lodging? [Can you hear the skepticism, Eli? Though you're certainly nicer than most Imperials he's met. There has to be a catch.]

Yes, already met one of those points when I woke up. There are others?

[Yeah, he's still salty about having been tossed right out into a storm.

Still, he takes note that the Mandalorian had a child of some sort with him, hearing the croon, seeing that slight peek of green. He says nothing, though.]

Way to do it seems to be "pick a building and hope it doesn't come crashing down on your head"... No work to speak of it seems, beyond what you make for yourself.

[Bounty hunters! We don't need that scum!

... ...wait, what the hell am I saying, we desperately need that scum.]

[Yeah, that storm is unsettling as can be.]

I assume most of the 'better' buildings are taken? [Or some of them, at least.]

So what do you people do here, then?

[Rude. At least bounty hunters capture and take care of the real criminals. Know what are bigger scum? The Sith.

Not that Din would know Kylo is a Sith. Since in his time, Ben is still a toddler or something.

What are you willing to pay? [Since he's getting the feeling there's no currency in this place.]

[He gave a wary sigh and bowed his head.]

Yes, I'm aware that sounds ridiculous coming from someone like me. I'm not sure what point in time you're from....but I understand the Imperial Navy doesn't have a popular view as it once did in it's time.

When I joined... it was back before it became corrupted and became the navy that people despised. I joined because then it was considered a reputable job and a chance to get out of Wild Space.

We only just learned about the Death Star and what it's purpose was intent for. I was beginning to see the corruption of the navy. It wasn't something I supported. I only tolerated it because I was loyal to my Grand Admiral and not the Empire itself. Once I had been loyal to the Empire, but not now. The two of us and most of our crew didn't support what the Death Star stood for. It went against what we believed in. I'm disappointed in what we became.

--Yes there are various kinds of delta points. I picked up the agriculture one. There's a pilot one, an engineering one, medical...and a few others.

[Don't mind the his squinting as he tries to get a better glimpse of what's behind the armored man.]

Ah... Yeah. The Agrii probably need to work on a lot of things.

So..."Mando," huh.

[Cal nods a little, supposing it fair. One can never be too wary, and he's hardly the person to speak on matters of trust.]

Work is generally 'help fix things' and 'look out for each other.' There doesn't seem to be any form of currency but I guess that's to be expected given the circumstances.

[This actually gives Din pause as he listens to Eli's explanation. Of course Din had heard of the Death Star, what it did and was capable of. Who didn't. To be fair, it sounds almost insane, different time lines, and talking to somebody who was so....early.]

So what did you do, then?

[As for when Djarin was from...]

I wasn't there, but I know the Death Star was destroyed, and a second one. [He considers his next words.] As for before I was...dragged here. The Empire is gone, as of five years ago. The only ones left from it are Imperial remnants, and warlords. [Including Gideon and his forces. But as far as Din knows, Gideon and his forces are dead.]

Are these other points the same experience as the one that greets you?

My Grand Admiral sent me to his people. He felt I would serve them better and learn more from them. He knew I was getting uncomfortable with how things were going and felt that was the best option for me.

I'm aware about the second one. There is another here that had informed me of what had happened. I am glad that both were destroyed. Someone just recently arrived from a new Empire called the First Order? I think these were your remnants of the old Empire.

I believe so? You're capable of changing the delta point to what suits your needs. But you will forget everything you learned. I haven't changed my delta point yet, although I know people here who had.

[Billy gives a bit of a curious head tilt, thinking he hears something kind of familiar and childlike, but no one's come in with anything like a child before.]

Hey, I'm Billy. Um, we don't really have like...traditional jobs around here. It's more sort of a cooperative kind of thing. But most people have found a place to sleep in the hotel. The big building. That or the ships, those at least have bunks and easier access to food and showers and stuff.

I'd assume so- I don't actually know since I only recently arrived myself.

[He shrugs.] I'd imagine there's much to do, though. Maybe not the work any of us are used to, but everyone's got to eat, everyone does need a roof above their heads that won't come crashing down on them...

[In other words, there's a lot to do just for survival's sake is what he's trying to say.]

--Keeping you out of the Empire's hands. [Din nods in understanding.] He was smart.

[Din then tilted his head. First Order?]

This is the first time I've heard of this...First Order. The last remnant I dealt with, was lead by Moff Gideon. Who'd previously taken part in the Great purge of the Mandalorians. [He says this some vehemence, but if Eli's heard of it, he'd probably understand.]

I'll keep that in mind. Sounds like some could be useful.

What's your name? [If they're going to be forced to live and work here, he might as well know his name.]

I noticed. Doesn't seem like people lived here for some time. [The place was run down, ravaged by storms.]

I'm used to work as a bounty hunter. Something that's not needed here. [Or doesn't seem to be needed.] It's going to take getting used to. [He's adapted to worse. He'll just have to do so again. As much as he is reluctant to do so.]

[Din nods about the bit about the Agrii. Not very good manners.

Hey, this is the Star Wars universe, who DOESN'T have a secret of some sort?

A sigh escapes him, a little friustrated at the situation he and the child have been tossed into.]

That's the feeling I'm getting. [He says about the work.] This is going to take some adjustment for me. This place doen't need a bounty hunter. [He's not above helping people, certainly. But he's not completely sure what he could help fix, short of a ship.]

I've been told about these other delta points that give information. I'm going to have to look into them. [He grimaces under the helmet. He's not looking forward to going through that again.]

Cipher Nine. [The only name he's currently giving out, anyway. Barely a name at all, but it's been so long since he's been anyone else.]

Doesn't seem like it, no. Suppose we should feel lucky that anything's left standing at all.

[He supposes they could indeed be much worse off than they actually are.]

And I suppose not- not a lot of bounties to chase here, I'd imagine. Storm aside, I think it'll take me a while to adjust to the peace and quiet.

[It definitely will. That aside though...] You've got a little one with you, don't you? Kid going to be alright? Can't imagine that this is easy to adjust to for children.

The Agrii need heroes, and apparently we're their idea of such.

[Cal shrugs.]

No bounties here, but plenty of opportunity to exercise survival skills.

The data points sound useful, but I can't help but be wary about them. Mostly because I'm not too crazy about having information downloaded into my head like a droid.

[There's an inquisitive beep off screen, and Cal glances to the side, smiling crookedly.]

No, I don't think I could get used it, BeeDee. Not sure I want to.

[A fair exchange, Din can't really comment since he's not giving out his real name either. He nods in acknowledgement at the name, taking note for whenever he meets the man again.]

I have been told there is an inn. Has a kitchen. Or there's a hotel. [Which are probably as run down as the rest of the places on this planet. But they were options. He gives a sigh.

He tenses some when the child is brought it. It was inevitable wasn't it?]

--Yes, I have my foundling with me. [His head tilts some at the other's concern.] He's been through worse than this. [Which is hard to imagine for a child. But after everything....] He'll be fine.

It's something. Not more than our fellow kidnapping-victims-slash-unwilling-saviors make for themselves, though.

[To say that Aden is unimpressed would be an understatement.]

... The kid's been through worse? [Pointed raise of a brow goes here.]

Isn't he a bit too young for dangerous adventures?

[Din snorts.]

Well, they missed their mark. I'm not a hero. [Really, bringing in a bounty hunter? Hardly the hero type to most people out there.]

I'm getting that feeling. This isn't the first time, I've had to stay in buildings like this. [Or being short on supplies. Being on the run makes for interesting times.] And it looks like most of you are faring well here, too.

[He raises an unseen eyebrow at the beep off screen. Oh a droid. There may just be an inquisitive burble from over his shoulder.]

Neither am I. They need to find another way to give that information. [Being treated like a droid isn't helping their first impression.]

[First time for everything, right?]

Billy. [He nods in acknowledgement, tilting his head in interest.]

You have ships here? [Now this? This could be worthwhile. Noone's mentioned the ships before.] Where are they located?

[Din is hardly impressed with this whole thing either. The Agrii have alot to learn about the first impressions. And this is from a guy with a bad bed side manner.]

Yes. [He responds about The Child having been through worse. He gives a sigh. lowering his head a bit.]

Unfortunately there hasn't been much choice recently. [Although with the guild, and Gideon, off their backs it might just be different.] I rescued him from an Imperial client, who was obsessed with obtaining him. He sent other bounty hunters from the guild after us. I've kept him as safe as I can.

Yeah, they're um- [Billy pauses, trying to think how to describe landmarks to someone who is new here.]

They're in the shipyard, it's sort of- [He gestures vaguely, realizing that's not helpful.] I could show you?

Yikes.

[Yep, that's his response.] No honor among bounty hunters or Imperials, huh? Hunting a child seems... You know. Yikes.

[Defensively:]

Depends on the bounty hunter.

[Don't lump them all in together, thanks. But if only you knew the story of why Din had to rescue the kid in the first place.]

But--I know. I've kept him safe since then. But recently we got the heat off our backs. We took out who was the main threat. No hunters after us since. [At least until they woke up here.]
