Reeve was far from the first one down the hole. There were plenty of people more experienced with things like this, and Reeve knew that he was usually better if he let other people rush in first and then handle more clean up after. Which is why he comes in now, a bit delayed, with a satchel full of tools and Mini.II. It's Caffeine I Guess | Mess Hall
And of course, within moments, he's found himself by the damaged exterior wall of the hull. Reeve frowns at it, through the forcefield, to the expanse of space.
"Should have listened to you more, Cid," he sighs before setting his tool back down and taking out his datapad. "Mini, you know what to do."
The mechanical cat nods and moves off, clearly going to evaluate things from another angle for Reeve.
Any major project still requires food and drink after all. Something to keep you moving, to give you fuel for the next stage. Historically Reeve's been bad at dealing with that in bad situations.
He was just used to the food being more... appetizing.
Reeve sits at one of the Mess Hall tables, frowning at the steaming mug of brew in front of him. It smells and looks vaguely like coffee. But damn if he wasn't nervous to taste it. Just sitting there, tired as hell, frowning. Was it possible this was going to taste as bad as he feared? Yep. Probably.

Unlike Cayde, Felwinter dresses almost plainly under his greatcoat, a somewhat faded black long-sleeved, fitted tunic and his usual pants and boots. There weren't exactly many places to shop out in a ruined, Dark Age Earth, and at the time he'd been pulled from his keep, he'd had much more pressing matters to worry about than clothing that wasn't likely pulled from a dead body.
His Ghost drifts in his wake, scanning the surroundings as they make way, mapping out their progress.

"Oy! Felwinter, Felspring! Wha' are ya doin?"
Because maybe they can pool resources and skills here.

Felspring floats back over beside him, glancing at Mini. "I'm guessing you're with Reeve. This place is something else. Did we figure out what caused the explosion?"

And they could all suffer from that. So it's important to get this dealt with.
"These ships, they need to be sealed for safe breathing, right?"

"Reeve is tryin' ta figure out how ta do the repairs. Maybe ya could give him some extra eyes?"
Now Mini's walking away, hoping the other two will follow him.
no subject
Felwinter walks after Mini, Felspring drifting along behind him, continuing scans. "We might have to get a look from the outside as well," the Ghost observes, hurrying to catch up.
no subject
"Mini is right. I'd be scared to try and open this barrier for a moment, lest we depressurize," Reeve says as a means of greeting. "Felwinter, Felspring, a pleasure as always."
no subject
"We can use the shuttles, can we not? Bring one around to inspect the ship's exterior. I am not aware if there are suits available for proper protection for others, but I should be fine if repairs must be done from outside." Theoretically Cayde would too, but he has no idea where the other Exo's gone off to.
no subject
"I think you would require a pilot to assist you in placing the shuttle, in that situation. Even engineers can only set a limited auto pilot."

"It is supposed to be caffeinated."

Oh Knuckles, he doesn't even have those.

Reeve is still staring at the mug as if he can't trust it.
"I need the caffeine, but I didn't bring coffee with us."
no subject
He tries the coffee, decides it's not bad, and keeps drinking it.
no subject
But he can accept that he supposes. Okay. Time to commit.
Reeve takes a slow, cautious sip.
"Huh."

"I suppose it is not that bad after all."
