[Network Video]
[The video comes on and the whole thing will be prone to shifting and moving. Probably being held up by Mini. Which makes sense because there's Reeve, sitting in a chair with a small table in front of him at what must clearly be one of the first floor rooms of the Civics Center. And the sitting makes sense because it's clear that one of his ankles is wrapped up and braced to imply an injury. Apparently he was still recovering from his sprain.]
Good day all. Forgive the video shaking as it does, Mini is doing his best but it is not always in his nature to be still.
Is nae all mah fault, Reeve. Cannae help bein' wha ah am.
[Reeve rolls his eyes and continues on.]
I am not certain how many of us have experience with disaster recovery and rebuilding, but I imagine it is a non-zero number beyond myself. And unfortunately there has been a lot of damage to the city. In the state I am in I am unfortunately unable to do what I would normally do after this sort of circumstance, which is evaluate damages, note priority repairs, and assist with rebuilding.
However I feel that it would be valuable for us all if we were aware of what needs done and who could use assistance in those ends. Normally I'd direct anyone to come by my building to consult on needs and what skills or supplies they can offer help with, but alas, my home was one of those more directly impacted. Because of course.
[He sighs and shakes his head.]
What matters now is that we're all here to help each other, and part of that is understanding what needs done and what we can reasonably expect to accomplish before winter comes. So please, I would ask that anyone who sees a problem or damage either message me with details so I can put together a list, or come by the Civics Center where I'll be temporarily staying so that I can write it down and help plan.
For those curious, I have previously laid in an ample supply of wood I meant for other projects but will be glad to help turn into boards and beams for repairs. There is also the bricks I was working to put together a while back that will be available.
So let's do our best to come together and make sure we can be the most comfortable we can manage.
Thank you.
Oh!
[Mini turns the camera to face himself.]
Ah need ta bribe someone ta help. Cannae go far on mah own and Reeve cannae walk right. Anyone willing ta be a runner fur things like food?

I am deeply grieved that you had to have such experience. I've had to handle it three times now. It is never a wonderful experience. The help shall be valuable though. Thank you. Though you don't have to do what Mini says. He's just being fussy.
Yah shud do what ah say because Reeve is ah idiot about his health.
no subject
[He certainly wonders about that, but doesn't ask.
He smirks a bit at Reeve's last words and Mini's interjection. Ah yes, how well he knows that type of person.]
It's no trouble.
[At least to a certain extent, if he doesn't get overwhelmed with errands.]

And truly, I would not wish to burden you with such things when there are other things to be busy over.
no subject
There's enough time for things like making sure you get fed.
[Radley smiles.]

[ Kids and their blunt questions. ]
Pikachu an' I are happy ta help in anyway we can!

I have a sprained ankle. It hasn't fully healed yet. I fear it will be a problem for a while.
[He hasn't thought to seek magical remedies so far. The doctor had told him to take it easy and he was resolving to do that.]
Thank you so much. We could very well use Pikachu's gifts.

Pika! [ Pikachu agrees. ]
Just tell me what you need us to do and we'll do everything we can.
no subject
[Forgive him as he stands there and tries to process what he's saying.]
Yes, I suppose that, over time, feeding oneself is vital to all healing processes. And my task for the two of you might well be one that seems simple though I assure you that it is not. You both seem very quick and like you have high energy. Can I ask you to make updates to a map I have? It would require you exploring the city. Do not go into any of the buildings, but tell me if, from outside, there are any big cracks or if things have fallen over?
That would help me organize notes on what needs done.

Repair and strengthen those, and we won't have to rebuild again.

It was starting to fail right as the doors underground closed.
Obviously the Agrii have the ability to deploy it.
Equally obviously, it has to have some kind of power source.
Find that, repair and improve them, and they might even be able to withstand the storms.

Obviously.
Even if we can't figure that part out, we know that there's plenty of other dangerous shit around here that they could protect us from instead.
They're worth the investment.

Does this mean that you're still gonna just be a tease? Jesus Christ, man. Why am I even still coming around?
[He grins and shoots a wink. ]
Alright. Put in the food order. And Mini! When was the last time he drank water? More than like a thimbleful? I will only accept the answer from you; Reeve can't be trusted.
no subject
If you need to discuss that matter, you're welcome to come do so in person, Richie. And thank you for the foo-
It's been nearly two hours and he won't listen. Cannae be trusted at all!
Mini!
no subject
Of course it has been. Of course. Mini, get the water into him somehow. I'll be there in like... I don't know. Twenty? And we can 'discuss that matter'. Oh yeah. You know how to get a motor running. Nothing like a hot discussion.
[ People who eat and drink water don't get publicly flirted with. ]
no subject
I know nothing of motors, Richie. You'd need to talk to Tony about those.
no subject
[ He winks again. ]
Now listen to your cat and be good until I get there. Or else.

Surveys are the first order of business. We need shelters that are warm and have water and power for the winter.
no subject
Gotcha. I'll do some scouting for buildings that are stable enough. If they're missing either water or power, are there some ways to rig them up, worst comes to worst?
no subject
IF there are utilities missing then there are ways to replace that. Electricity and a sealed building are the most important two things.
no subject
Any estimation on how many people might be displaced, so I know what kind of building sizes to focus on?
