A - Snow Planet

[Keith didn't get to experience snow much having grown up in the American Southwest, but here he was, cold, wet, and not really all that happy. The forced trip on to the ships with no idea what was happening had been harrowing enough. Were they all going to the same place? Were they being sent home? Quite a few questions had rattled around in his brain for the duration of the flight, and the calls from a harrowed Lance had been rough. The two of them were fairly codependent at this point, and being apart wasn't easy on either of them. Still, Keith found himself trying to stay calm for Lance's sake (though, he had the fleeting suspicion that Lance was doing the same and that neither of them was showing the other how they truly were faring), and it had left him pretty tired once they landed.

Being able to find Lance again had been nothing short of a relief at this point.

They'd picked a cabin, and found their sweater (Apparently, Lance won the 'team name' debate.), and were now exploring the little village on their own. Keith went around attempting to locate others he knew to make sure they'd made the trip. The only ones he knew for certain other than Lance were his shipmates...]

B - Robo-Claus

[After the startling wake-up call in the middle of the night with their "gifts" (Keith had been pretty ready to kill the intruder until he figured out what the heck was going on.), he could be found walking around with the Black Bayard hooked to his belt. Occasionally, when he was away from a crowd or in an open space, he could be found testing it out, making sure it was still working and he could properly form his sword.]

C - Never Take Candy from Strangers

[Guess who'd gotten into the candy. Guess who, because of said candy, was now a kid and couldn't remember anything beyond his first year at the Garrison. Guess who was a grumpy child with anger issues and had difficulty trusting people.

Keith was maybe 14 years old at this point, his hair a bit shorter, but still fluffy and unkempt looking, and he didn't have the large scar on his right cheek. He did have a massive chip on his shoulder, hating the universe for his lot in life, and being super resentful about everything. For a young teen, Keith was extremely bitter.

[Keith rolled his eyes.]

Why?

Why what? Have fun? Because, like, that's LIFE.

So? Life isn't all fun and games. We've been kidnapped and left on some frozen ice planet, and you wanna run around and throw snowballs. We should be trying to find a way home.

[Keith might just be blustering a little, using that grumpy temper of his to cover the fact that he was scared. When orphans got kidnapped, no one missed them. He was in trouble here...]

[Kidnapped and on an ice planet? With snow? And he's a little kid? And he can throw snowballs? Wow, this is TOTALLY an easy one. He throws another snowball at Keith.]

Duh, snowball fights are fun. Besides, my mom and big brother and my auntie will figure out how to get us home. I'm too little for that.

[Keith growled at the new snow attack, and Tommy's next words were lost to him as his temper finally snapped. He moved to punch him.]

[Wow, what a grumpy pants. A teen swinging at a much younger kid? Totally abusive. But the good thing is that the second Keith moves to punch him Tommy's ten feet further away from him. With very clear footsteps in the snow to say he ACTUALLY moved that distance.]

[Keith's short temper was no respecter of age. In fact, getting semi-bullied by a little kid was harsher to the thirteen-year-old than having his peers pick on him.

But then that happened, and Keith froze in place, shocked.

He stared at the footprints for a second, then took a few steps back and away.]

What... what are you?

[doubled_speed]

[Rude man, rude. But the boy frowns. What is he? He looks almost ready to tear up at that.]

I'm a boy.

[tempredmental]

How did you move that fast? I don't know anyone that can do that.

[Keith looked angry again, but this was a different kind of fear reaction now.]

[How does he do it? Uh... Tommy frowns.]

I just ran it? It's what I can do. I'm a mutant, like the rest of my family.

[tempredmental]

Mutant?

[Keith looked confused.]

I've never heard a human called that before.

[At least, not outside of like... science fiction... where people had four arms and three eyes and tails...]

Yeah. Like humans but better. Well, newer at least.

That's weird.

[Keith looked Tommy up and down.]

You don't look much different.

[doubled_speed]

My hair is white.

[Come on, man. That's not human.]

So?

[Hair dye?]

[doubled_speed]

[Tommy sighs and rolls his eyes. And then holds up a gloved hand as if to tell Keith to wait. And then he is in motion. Just starts building a snowman and in three blinks of an eye there a a rather mediocre snowman built between them.]

There.

[tempredmental]

[Keith shifted his gaze between the snowman and Tommy a few times, visibly nervous.]

That doesn't make me feel better...

[But Keith also wasn't about to blow his stack anymore, so success?]

[doubled_speed]

You racist?

[Tommy frowns at that. It's a fair point, isn't it? ANd he doesn't like the idea of it.]

[tempredmental]

No. But how do I know you're not gonna use that power against me? You already used it to cheat at throwing snowballs.

[Keith was always looking for how he was going to get the short end of the stick. Life wasn't fair, after all.]

[doubled_speed]

'Snot cheating!

[Tommy's lower lip juts out in a pout.]

And I'm a super hero! See, I've got a cape! Super heroes never cheat!

[tempredmental]

It is, too! I don't have super speed or anything like that, so using it against me is cheating!

[Keith scrunched his nose in annoyance.]

Anyone can put on a stupid cape. Super heroes don't exist.

[doubled_speed]

You're taller than me. So reaching for anything taller than me is cheating. And doing any math I didn't learn at school is cheating. And if you can hold your breath longer than I can, that's cheating too!

[What he can just do physically TOTALLY isn't cheating. Keith's cheating by saying it's cheating.]

And you can't say that! My big brother is a hero. He's called Wiccan. And my Mommy, she's the Scarlet Witch. And my Aunt Lorna is Polaris. And my Daddy is the Vision. My whole family is heroes. Most of them are Avengers. Stop being mean!

[And yeah, the boy is nearing tears. Which is TERRIBLE in this sorta cold.]

But I wasn't doing any of that! I was just trying to walk by!

[Keith clenched his fists again.]

I don't know who those people even are. What difference does it make? You know what happens to heroes? They get killed by helping others, so where does that leave them? Dead. And then they leave their kids behind! [Tears or not, Keith wasn't holding back.] My dad was a hero, too. A real big hero. Didn't listen to anyone and got himself killed. So, fine... go ahead and be a stupid hero.

[And, before he could start crying, too, Keith turned to stalk away. Crying only caused more problems...]

[No. No, his parents weren't gonna die. His family wasn't going to leave him. He rubs at the tears stinging at his eyes and then he moves. He's supposed to think before he acts. He's supposed to be good like all his family. But he's not supposed to let bullies win, right? That's not very hero-like. So he runs up to Keith, right behind him, and shoves him hard. At least he's good enough to not apply super strength.

And Keith probably deserves to eat snow.]

You're a horrible person!

[tempredmental]

[He almost did, but, without using the super strength, Keith only stumbled, barely staying on his feet. Keith didn't know it at this point, but he wasn't exactly fully human...

He did, however, managed to snag a handful of snow, crushing it into a tiny ball in his fist, and flung it as hard as he could back at Tommy as soon as he was able to turn around.]

And you're a dumb naive kid! Just go running back to Mommy and Daddy!
