I am able to end my own quarantine early. Procuring those live specimens has proven to be the right choice. Plant #207 will be added to native group A, further classifications pending.

For now it remains uncertain whether they absorb or neutralize radiation as I haven’t been able to conduct further tests yet, but they clearly do something about it.

[ He pauses, making a low, pensive noise. ]

I can’t help but think. Were these plants to exist back on Earth, what would happen after their discovery? Would their existence spell the end of nuclear war? Would it mark the birth of a new brand of bio weapons?

[ Another pause. But this one ends in a short, humorless chuckle. ]

Who am I kidding. Humans love to wage war against their own kind way too much as to not waste great potential…

[ And the feed clicks off as abruptly as it started. ]

[Clearly this wasn't intended to be sent to everybody, and the polite thing to do would probably be to ignore it and find someone else to annoy. Sonic is not going to do the polite thing though, he's going to do the obnoxious thing.]

You are not wrong. It's a waste of potential, resources, life. And yet mankind keeps finding arbitrary reasons to start war after war.

[Sonic wasn't sure if he'd been expecting an argument or not, but he is glad to hear that this guy agrees with him. Clearly this is a totally normal, decent dude, and so Sonic will tone down the snark.]

Sounds like it's probably a pretty big problem where you're from? Back home we've mostly just got one guy that decides that trying to take over the world with an army of robots is a good idea from time to time.

[He kind of grumbles that bit to himself. Eggman certainly is ambitious, buuut his ambitions are. Stupid.]

He hasn't won yet, but I gotta admit, he's come close a couple times. ...Well no, I take it back, the last big push he made backfired on him in a major way. He decided to escalate from building robots to turning people into robots by unleashing this crazy metal zombie virus on the world, but didn't bother creating a cure in case he ended up catching it. For a guy with an IQ north of 300, he can be really shortsighted sometimes.

Which works for me, I guess. Makes him easier to beat.
