WHO: Ash, Pikachu and You
WHERE: Pick your battle
WHAT: Ash and Pikachu have arrived. They're a little confused
WHEN: Right before the blizzard
WARNINGS: Uh... idk. A potential electric shock?
Livestock Nursery
Ash hasn't been in town long, maybe an hour or two. He's had long enough to check out the datapoint and wander aimlessly for a bit before he's drawn to the stable like structure.
Of course the first place he'd be drawn to is the livestock nursery. He's watching the glownies with interest even though they're not doing anything particularly exciting. They're just eating their lunch but by the stary-eyed look on his face you'd think that they were doing a whole multi-step dance routine.
There's a yellow fluff ball settled on his shoulder watching the Glownies with the same interest as the young boy that seems to have turned up.
"So cool! I've never seen anything like them before!" He says excitedly, the yellow rodent like creature agreeing with him. "D'you think they're a pokemon?"
"Pi?" Pikachu turns to look behind them as he thinks he hears something nearby.
The Diner
It was inevitable that Ash would end up here, really. It's been some time since he or Pikachu have had a bite to eat. At least, Ash is pretty sure they haven't eaten in a while-it feels like it's been hours and his stomach is gurgling uncomfortably loud. He's a little short on funds at the moment but he can always offer to do the dishes in exchange for a meal or something.
He pushes the door open, practically dragging his feet. One thought playing on repeat in his head; 'Hungry... need food.' The way Pikachu and poised half draped over his shoulder, he'd say Pikachu is thinking the exact same thing.
"Anyone here?" Ash questions, glancing around. It's not very lively for a diner. Hopefully it's not closed.
Special Training in a little west of the Security Tower
By now, Ash has realized there's no Pokémon beside his Pikachu here and that means there's no Pokémon battles. Honestly, it's a tragedy he's not yet ready to face and even then, there's no reason to get lazy. He'd gone off to see if there really weren't any Pokémon around and found himself disappointed- not even a pidgey.
"Well Pikachu, there's nothing for it, we'll just have to keep up our training a different way-hit me with your strongest quick attack." He tells the yellow mouse.
"Pika!" Pikachu agrees, launching a quick attack right into Ash who is easily knocked several feet backwards and falls with a thump into the grass.
"Whoa! That's some quick attack." He praises happily, if a little stunned

"Pika?" Pikachu blinks and then looks over at Felwinter. This was the guy that was blocking his way to Ash. "Pi-ka!" Pikachu nods in agreement.
"Alright then," Ash takes a step back, extending his arm up so Pikachu can run and jump up. "Give him a Thunderbolt!"
"PikaaaCHUU!" All at once there's electricity starting to form around the small frame and he sends it down right for Felwinter.

There's a split second before he stills himself from the urge to dodge out of reflex. He wants to prove a point as much as the pair does, and while his Ghost isn't worried the little creature's attack will kill her Risen, she still thinks Felwinter is being an idiot.
Pikachu's thunderbolt strikes true, crackling across Felwinter as he braces for it, an arm raised as though to shield himself. It's still more of a punch than he's expecting, but not terribly unlike an Arc-based strike. Steam and smoke wisp from him as the electricity peters off, the warlord shaking himself out.
"Interesting..."

"Guess Pikachu decided not to give it all he's got." Ash says sheepishly. "How are ya doing? Not too stunned, I hope-I don't think I have anything on me to cure paralysis." He starts to check his pockets.

Felwinter slowly brings a hand up, a starlike drone of some kind unfolding from out of thin air in a shimmer of light. The Ghost gives a twitch that looks like a disapproving headshake before she flits about the warlord for inspection.
"I hope you're proud of yourself," she huffs. "Well, there's no serious damage but I'll handle it anyway." She pauses as though recalling they have company, turning her core towards Ash and Pikachu, tipping forward slightly in what might be a nod.
no subject
"What's that?" He can't help but ask once he's regained his composure. He and Pikachu both offered a small wave when she tips forward.
"I'm Ash, and this is Pikachu."
no subject
"I'm Felspring. This is Felwinter," she says, almost hesitant. You'd think after so long that she'd gotten used to the name but it's not like they introduced themselves a whole lot, and usually it was only Felwinter who had to worry about it. People are...very personable here. "Believe me, he can handle a sting."
Felwinter gives the boy and electric creature a nod.
no subject
"So.. what are ya doing out here, anyway?" He glances around.
no subject
"Nothing specifically. I just happened to catch sight of...Pikachu as he seemed to be attacking you," Felwinter admits.
no subject
"Pika?" Pikachu asks at the same time.
"It's really something." Ash praises, petting Pikachu's cheeks gently.
no subject
"All right."

"Ready buddy?" He calls out. Pikachu lets out a noise of confirmation. "Alright, show me your strongest quick attack!" Ash commands, pumping his fist into the air in his excitement.
"Pika!" Pikachu cries and is off like a bolt of lightening, moving as fast as he can and darting here and there to gain momentum before finally crashing into Ash's waiting arms.
Once again, the impact knocks the trainer several feet back before he hits the ground, skidding once before coming to a stop, arms securely wrapped around Pikachu. "Yup. That's what I'd expect from Pikachu." Ash sounds incredibly dazed.
"Pikapi! Pikachu?" Pikachu looks worriedly at Ash who needs a second to sit up again.
"I'm okay, Pikachu. That was just way more force than I was expecting-oh my head." He gives it harsh shake.

Felwinter watches with his Ghost, the two exchanging a look once the little yellow creature collides with Ash. He's not quite sure what to think, but he can see how an attack would be useful against like-sized creatures...or Ash-sized humans. Maybe even humans in general.
He steps over towards them, Felspring drifting after. "Impressive...but I do not know that that is a sound way to hone his skills, not if you injure yourself. No matter how used to it you say that you are. Here." He holds a hand up, the soft, negated violet glow of Void light gathering in his palm like a ghostly flame. "-do not panic," he adds, hoping that's enough of a reassurance. Slowly he stoops down in front of the two, resting his hand on the ground where a similarly lit circle spreads out beneath them.
It's strange that the power of the Void can also heal. He might not understand it completely, but he knows it works, and Ash's aches and wounds should ease so long as he's within the ring's range.

"Hey, thanks!" Ash says excitedly. "What is that?"
"Pika?" Pikachu turns to look up at Felwinter, tilting his head in interest.

Pikachu's ears flatten and he gives Ash a look When it occurs to him what the healing rift did-it healed.
"Pikapi."
"It was only a few scrapes, don't look at me like that." Ash says sheepishly.
"Pika..." Pikachu still doesn't sound happy.
no subject
"Allowing yourself to be his target for training does not necessarily build strength for you. If you accidentally get too injured, your Pikachu will have no one. Take better care of yourself, Ash," he advises.
no subject
"Well, usually I have my other Pokemon with me but everyone else is at Professor Oak's lab back home so it's just Pikachu and me. I'd like to think I'll see the others again but.." He trails off and then shakes his head.
"Until then, I'll try to figure out some special training that will work for Pikachu."

no subject
"But really, no need to worry so much, I'll be okay." Ash assures. "I've been through a lot worse than a quick attack."
no subject
"If you need help with targets, let me know. There is at least no shortage of places you can use."
no subject
"I'll have to think about it, nice to know it's an option, for sure." Ash nods, petting Pikachu in an attempt to appease the small lightening mouse who seems to melt into the gentle touches, letting out a few happy noises. "I think I'll need to come up with something for me too-we have to keep getting stronger together, after all."
no subject
At least the boy seems to be getting the idea. Felwinter nods then. "The current weather may not be the best for outside exercises but I believe there is a gym you can make use of."
no subject
"Pikapi... pika kachu pika." Pikachu reminds him. Ash looks down at Pikachu and frowns.
"Oh, right." He shrugs it off. "Y'know, back home the Gym is where you go to challenge the gym leaders in a Pokémon battle and if you win you get a cool badge proving that you won. Pikachu says the gym here is probably different."
no subject
no subject
"Pika, pika." Pikachu pats him in a 'there, there' kind of way. He finally gets back to his feet, keeping an arm securely around Pikachu as he does.
"Well, will sounds like fun, either way. We'll have to check it out."
