WARNINGS: Just overwhelmingly sweet fluff... sorry. LMAO

[Sure... resources were kind of low, but they at least still had some nice clothes from various missions in the past to wear for the night. And the diner was a decent place for dinner, even if it put their mushy romantic moments in Tommy's sights and made them potentially ripe for teasing. But there was also the hot spring pools... and, despite the stupid blizzard before the date, they had a teleporting wolf that Keith probably would have brought along anyway for part of the date.

And gifts? Well, with Keith, it was more about the time spent together, so finding a present was hard. He wasn't good at physical gifts. But, he did manage to get a gift for his husband that he felt would work. He always spent a lot of time trying to figure out material gifts, but he'd managed to decide this one was a good one.

So, wrapped gift in hand, he went to go catch Lance once they were ready to go, but before they left.]

Hey. [He held it behind his back, like that was going to make it more surprising or something.]

[He gives him a wide smile before grabbing his fork and digging in. The dish might be simple, but it doesn't mean it lacks in taste, and he makes a pleased little sound before swallowing his bite.]

That-- That's really good, Keith!

[tempredmental]

Yeah? Thanks. [Keith looked visibly relieved as he started eating, too.] MMm... wow. Yeah. That did come out good. [He laughed a little nervously.] Well...

[He reached over and picked up his glass. Just water, but it was fine. It's not like they had anything else at the moment between the storm and supplies.]

Happy Valentine's Day. Our first of what I hope is many as husbands.

[He'll eventually find some fancy champagne somewhere. Maybe. But for now, water will do. Lance picks up his own glass, clinking it against Keith's.]

So many. Don't think you're ever getting rid of me, Kogane. Though I guess it's Kogane-McClain now, hm? Or McClain-Kogane... Man, we never did decide, did we?

...? [Keith looked surprised for a moment, then shook his head.] No... I don't think we did. Does it matter?

I mean, not really, but it helps to know how to introduce myself properly to people. I'm proud of us.

[Keith looked thoughtful for a moment as he poked at his food.]

I guess. I mean, I hadn't really thought about it because I don't use my last name much. It's not that I'm not proud of us, but I just never considered it to be a big deal.

But... I mean, I guess? Which one do you like more?

[the_tailor]

I dunnoooo.

[He whines before taking another bite.]

I'm so indecisive.

Yeah. I noticed.

[Keith laughed a little, taking a few more bites.]

Well, which one sounds better?

They both sound good.

[Lance pouts at him.]

That's the problem here!

Mm... Well. [Keith frowned a bit, looking to one side as he considered it for a moment. He tapped his fork on his plate a few times, and then shifted his eyes back to Lance again.] Alphabetical?

[That would put Keith's name first.]

Alphabetical works for me! [Nodnod.] Lance Kogane-McClain... I like the ring of it.

[tempredmental]

[Keith chuckled.] Okay. We'll use that, then. [He was easy-going about it. Honestly, he rarely used his full name for introductions anyway unless someone asked.]

[the_tailor]

Sounds good to me.

[Lance reaches forward to take his hand, squeezing it.]

[Keith smiled, squeezing Lance's hand in return. He rubbed his thumb over the back of Lance's fingers, brushing over the rings specifically.]

I don't know how I got this lucky...

[the_tailor]

Guess some of the luck I had in marrying the coolest guy in the universe rubbed off on you at some point.

[He grins at him.]

[Keith's face started to turn a bit pink.]

I'm not that cool.

[the_tailor]

[There's a pause.]

Y'know, point there.

[And he smirks.]

[Keith blinked, confused for a split second as he tried to figure out if he should be insulted or not.]

You're not supposed to agree so easily!

[the_tailor]

[And he can't help but cackle; the look on Keith's face is absolutely precious. Shame he doesn't have a proper camera to snap a quick picture.]

Oopsies. I mean, you are absolutely the coolest guy in the universe, Keithy. No one cooler than you, nope. Top of the line chill.

Well, now I know you're just saying that. Besides, how can I be cool if you're gonna call me something like "Keithy".

[the_tailor]

I mean, I'm not calling you Keithy-cat, so count yourself lucky right now.

[Even though he thinks it's a super cute pet name!]

[Keith groaned a little.]

Oh no... that might be even worse...

[Keith was definitely not the 'cute pet name' type.]

[Oh, Lance knows, which is why he keeps them to a minimum.

[Keith took in a deep breath, then let it out as a sigh.]

I'm sure there are.

[It partially bugged him because he knew he was bad at coming up with them. And he knew he'd never win against Lance if they came down to a competition of pet names.]

[He teases, but it does help him that he actually knows this for sure.]
