[The video comes on and Noctis isn't looking at the camera. But he's standing and a loud thud is heard as it sounds as if something heavy just dropped. So the king sighs with a shake of the head.]
Damn it. Anyone have any idea how to secure stuff on the walls? This one thing I keep thinking is secured keeps falling down.
[Right after he says that something else is heard, presumably falling down too.]
Yup, could definitely use some advice here.

"How long have you been cooking?"

He started cooking the potatoes.

And that gave him a pang of regret since he was such a priss ass sometimes about helping Iggy with cooking duty at camp.
"Lucky you." Noct of course meant that.

When the potatoes were done, he assembled everything for the casserole and then put it in the oven.

And that's when Noct stood back and let the chef do his work once the casserole went into the oven.

On some things the other might have to get creative but the king still thought classes were a great idea. And he himself would sign up.

When the casserole was done, he took it out. "Dig in," he said grandly.

He was just so used to being counted on to help back home that he really wanted to help out here.
But when the casserole came out, Noctis started getting the table ready with forks and plates and knives and all that. So when it was put down, he nodded and smiled at Radley. "That's some culinary wizardry right there."

He smiled, pleased. "Maybe you'd better wait until you try it," he said playfully, although he was quite sure it would taste good.

That was just because he was learning and with the master chef here, he should get first dibs at getting portions out. It was fair in his mind anyway and he sat down.

It amused him that his enthusiasm for food hadn't waned even after death and he picked up his fork. Picking up a bite, the king popped it into his mouth and smiled.
After swallowing his bite he nodded, very pleased.
"This is really great."
no subject
He ate happily.

Food first, everything else could wait.

"Can't wait to get more lessons."

Ignis would be horrified at hearing it, he was sure. But the chef wasn't here, so it was up to the king to make sure that he and Gladio ate, and not at the diner all the time.
