Closed; Space IKEA
WHO: Poe Dameron and Armitage Hux (if you want to join them for some reason give us a poke)
WHERE: Space IKEA
WHAT: Looking for parts
WHEN: Mid month-ish?
WARNINGS: More damn Star Wars, sorry
As per their agreement, Poe had met up with Hux to go in search of the parts needed to make a droid. After some asking around they had some idea of where to start, and while the space seemed run down, it did have a lot to offer.
Poe had his Agrii gifted backpack slug over a shoulder, ridiculous as it might look, it was useful, and it made him feel at least a little like BB-8 was there with him. The droid certainly would have been useful in working through this mess, Poe thought, climbing over some debris.
"What exactly am I supposed looking for?" he called to Hux.

"What exactly am I supposed looking for?" he called to Hux.

He gave a startled cry and gripped Poe's arm tightly as the rat like creature scuttled over his feet. He quickly let go of Poe's arm after he felt the rat was gone. "I hate this place."

"It'd have to be much more ambitious to try and eat you, don't worry, Hux."
no subject
"Come on, let's just hurry and grab our gear and go."

"Secret's safe with me," he promised, even crossing his fingers in an x over his heart for show.
no subject
"Why do you call me Hugs?" he asked.

"It's cute. Kind goes against the whole tall, dark, and scary persona you had going on...Sounds like Hux." It wasn't the craftiest of nicknames, but Poe still enjoyed it.

"You would have fit well among the Firs Order." He commented, his statement not being a compliment but an insult. While he gathered that Poe thought it funny, it just reminded him of his peers and how they treated him as a kid and an adult. He continued to remain silent for most of their journey back to where their gear had been piled.

Still, he frowned at Hux's comment, falling silent until they'd reached the gear.
"Does it really bug you that much?" Poe asked. He'd really thought it was more of a cute tease than anything, not...well certainly not something that would get him labelled First Order worthy.

Hux heatedly replied after a lengthy pause of silence as he debated on saying it at all.

Poe didn't like being compared to them, clearly uncomfortable with that assertion.
"...I'll stop," Poe offered softly, rather than try and make excuses. His intent might have been playful using here, but if Hux didn't see it that way...

"As much as I had been the face of the First Order...it's never been kind. I don't know anything outside of the First Order or how things are done. How people interact and what they do. I only know the First Order. And even with how loyal I was to their cause even people like me are considered expandable."
no subject
"I was teasing. It's...what I do with my friends." He glanced uncertainly up at Hux. "...Not that we're friends..." he added, "But if it bothers you I won't say it."

"You can give me a name if it evens the playing field any?"
no subject
Hux stated as he began to lead the way back out of the place.

Really the list could go on, but those were his better ones. Nor was he afraid to insult Kylo to his face. He despised the Knight.

"I'm guessing you two don't get along as well as we might have thought?" It felt good to have something in common, though Poe really hadn't expected a mutual dislike of Ren to be their common ground.

"I did make an attempt to work with him in the beginning. You can thank the Supreme Leader for pitting one of us against each other. I believe he feared if we worked together we would over throw him. Then there was the whole Force thing and how it was more important then the military..."

"Sounds a lot like the Empire."
no subject
"My father had been with the Republic back in the old times and had watched it become the Empire that he served. And because they had so many old faces running things....a lot was repeated instead of learned from."
no subject
"I thought the First Order was big on 'improving on the mistakes of the Empire'," he quoted.
no subject
"I'm pretty sure you deal with that among the Resistance as well. With the older generation verses your generation."
