As per their agreement, Poe had met up with Hux to go in search of the parts needed to make a droid. After some asking around they had some idea of where to start, and while the space seemed run down, it did have a lot to offer.

Poe had his Agrii gifted backpack slug over a shoulder, ridiculous as it might look, it was useful, and it made him feel at least a little like BB-8 was there with him. The droid certainly would have been useful in working through this mess, Poe thought, climbing over some debris.

"What exactly am I supposed looking for?" he called to Hux.

"I'm assuming you've repaired your droid or made adjustments to your droid. I'm really looking for any kind of parts that can be used. Even if it looks like it might not work." Hux stated as he started digging through various wires and nuts and bolts.

"This is what I had to do back with the Fleet as well. Salvage what I could find and make it work. A lot of times I wasn't very lucky."

He made an annoyed face at the battered condition some of the pieces appeared to be.

None of this stuff looked ideal for that at first glance, but Poe nodded with a determined frown, hopping over a counter to see what he could find.

"I've done repairs, but never the actual engineering or programming." He doubted he could have come up with a personality quite like BB-8's. Though honestly, he was half sure the droid had deviated well beyond his programming.

"This is not going to be an easy project. If we could have decent technology it would be a different story." Hux complained.

Yes, they were given supplies to work with...but they were a far cry to what he was used to dealing with. His experience at the Fleet provided him with more salvageable stuff then what he saw now.

"You then at least have an idea of the pieces we may need."

"An idea," poe agreed, setting a few pieces aside on the counter top. He watched Hux with a small frown. It still felt strange. To be here with him, first of all, but to see him picking through things, and not addressing his troops, or screaming out impassioned speeches.

"You got tools back at the power plant, or should I look for those too?" he asked, finding something like a rusted screwdriver in one of the drawers.

"More tools would be appreciated. There are others working at the Power Plant. They could use them too. I just hope they don't break upon using them..."

He started to form a small pile of various pieces of wires, nuts and bolts computer chips, anything that looked like it could be used. It wasn't a very big pile, but it was a start.

"I really wondered what happened to these people to why their city is in complete ruins."

"Apparently it's something they think we can help with, so...that narrows the field a bit," Poe noted, though he couldn't really begin to guess. The Agrii still haven't really made it clear how exactly they're supposed to help. "Doesn't look like any warzone I've ever seen, so...I'd guess something environmental?" There is those storms.

"Have they ever actually shown themselves since you arrived here? Do you think they're onworld, or observing us from somewhere out there?" He gave a vague nod towards the ceiling.

"No, we haven't seen them at all. But supposedly they can communicate to us with the devices we have." Hux replied. "I personally haven't seen them or spoken with them."

He didn't fully believe in Poe's theories of what happened, not with how the Agri acted with them.

"Have you tried asking for anything from them?" That was the most contact Poe had had with them so far, and despite regularly interacting with a number of different alien species, they seemed to be a particularly hard one to fully understand.

"They don't seem quite like any species I've ever heard of."

"Not yet, I haven't found anything that I particularly wanted to ask for. I've managed to make do with everything here so far." Hux simply stated.

"I don't ask a lot for myself. It's always been for my people."

"..." Poe frowned at what he interpreted as a sort of barb, whether it was meant that way or not. He didn't like the implication that asking for something was somehow selfish. He gave a disbelieving snort, but bit his tongue, still finding that hard to believe.

"Sure."

He noted Poe's frown, but didn't bother to justify anything further. He new Poe had a hard time accepting Hux for who he was and that he would forever be seen as the bad guy. It was hard to accept an enemy as a person. He had to admit it was hard for him to do this with Poe.

Instead he kept tossing various parts to the pile, including various fabric pieces he spotted near by. They wouldn't be needed for a droid, but they could be used for other things.

The lack of argument seemed to frustrate him too, though that at least Poe could recognize as his own issue. He couldn't be made at Hux for speaking AND for keeping quiet.

He climbed back over the counter, bringing what he'd found to add to Hux's pile, though he kept the rusted screw driver for now.

"I'm going to explore further in," he said, nodding towards the dark. The space was large enough that the light couldn't reach it all.

"Right, report back in about 30 minutes. That way I'm aware that you're okay and nothing is lurking about that's going to eat us...." Hux stated while he continued to rummage and add to the growing pile.

Poe snorted and offered a very sarcastic salute.

"General," he recited, starting off. "You gonna come looking if I don't report back, or just let everyone know this place is off limits?" he asked with a teasing voice. He didn't seem to have much faith that Hux would come.

It was some time after he'd left that there was disturbingly loud crash from the dark, and then silence, sprinkled with the occasional sound of further sprinkling debris.

Poe earned a rude gesture from Hux for the sarcastic salute and tone of his title.

"Keep that up I will make a point to not look for you."

With an eye roll, Hux went back to work. It wasn't till much later when he heard the loud crash Hux got a little concerned.

"Dameron?" He called out. He didn't like how small his voice sounded in this empty building.

There was no response aside from the sound of more scattering debris dropping.

A floor below, Poe blinked groggily, squinting up at the faint outline he could see from where the floor had given way, back screaming in protest as he tried to push upright.

"...Hux?"

Wonderful....he was going to have to go looking for the pilot. He really hoped the other wasn't in major trouble. He didn't like the sound of that crash. Dropping what he was doing, he made his way toward the sound of the crash and found out what happened by almost falling down into the floor below.

"Stay where you Dameron, I'm coming down." After gauging how far down he had to go, he deemed it safe to jump down.

Oh...he actually came.

"Wai-" Poe tried to protest, wincing as he sat up, and then sighing dramatically when the man managed to jump down.

"...We don't know if there's a clear way up," he noted, torn between annoyance and...something like gratitude. He didn't love the feeling.

"I'm aware, but either way I need to get you out. I believe I can rig up a way to get us back up to the other floor if necessary." Hux firmly stated, even though he wasn't all too sure.

"How capable are you being able to move? That would be more important to know first."

Hux knelt beside Poe as he tried to get a rough examination on the pilot for injuries.

"I'm fine-" Poe insisted, gritting his teeth as he pushed past his body's protest to try and get up. Maybe not fine. He's sore, and banged up, and that might be blood he felt on the side of his face. But fine enough. He didn't need Hux's help.

It was even harder to see down here, and Poe gave a frustrated sigh. "You didn't find a flashlight up there, did you?"

"No, I just have the battery cells from the Power Plant for light." Hux explained as he pulled out two from his coat pocket and warily handed the other to Poe. "They provide enough light, but not for long distance."

Despite, Poe's reluctance, Hux moved to help Poe back up to his feet. He then tore some of the lining from his coat to wrap around Poe's forehead. "You are a hopeless mess."

"..." Poe accepted the cell with a vaguely guilty look, shoulders deflating some, not at all sure how to handle Hux not meeting any of his expectations.

"That's what they call me back home," he offered, opting to fall back on that humor when otherwise at the loss. There was less bite to his words than before though, especially as he tore his own coat to help him.

He cleared his throat, holding the cell to try and getting a better idea of what they were dealing with here. "Let's just find some stairs."

Hux simply shook his head and allowed Poe to lean on him for support. Slowly Hux tried his best to survey the room to find a good option out. Once, he was satisfied with what seemed to be the safest way out, he headed toward the direction. It didn't seem to be heavily cluttered with debris and the air didn't feel so stale.

"I suppose I'll collect the supplies later." He simply replied.

Poe was reluctant to use the support Hux offered, but he didn't really have much choice. At least until his back loosened back up.

"I can still carry them." That's why they were here. And Poe'd been through plenty worse than falling through a floor. "We're good. Minor set back, that's all. ...And now we know where the floor is weak."

Hux snorted at the last bit of the comment in regards to the weak flooring.

"Alright then, we'll find the stairs and get back to the original floor. Just let me know if you need to rest."
