[Open] Choosing A New Path
WHO: Lauri-Ell, Open
WHERE: Around Temba, Hospital
WHAT: Patrol and New Datapoint
WHEN: Mid-June to end of the month
WARNINGS: N/A
I. I Walk These Lonely Roads | Roads of Temba
No matter the decision as to whether her purpose here was changing or not, there was still some inherent things that were not going to change. After Lauri's morning work out she put up a sign at the civics center training area saying to contact her if someone wanted work out help. And then she set out to do the normal. Hammer in hand, Accuser armor wrapped around her, Lauri-Ell walked confidently through the early morning streets. It was time to do her patrols.
But she was getting started a little later today, and she was happy to see others around, raising her free hand in a greeting and offering them a smile.
"It grows warm in the mornings, yes? Very lovely."
II. Learning The Ropes | Hospital
It had taken time to come to this conclusion. Time and soul searching, and the kindness extended to her by Omega and Billy recently. And the realization that she did not need the weapons the Agrii provided to protect others. Which meant she could learn to protect people in more ways.
That didn't mean she entirely knew what to do with this knew knowledge. Lauri-Ell removed her hand from the datapoint and just... stood there for a moment.
"I still don't understand," she said, a bit frustrated before she turned and entered the hospital. "But I suppose I should see if there is a means to learn properly."

How it works? Well, Lauri-Ell tilts her head to the side to consider this.
"I am not sure there is any specific way that things work here."
no subject
"That's new, but no problem! I can handle it!"
no subject
"How will you handle it?"
no subject
"Do you have some tips?"

But then she sees the gloves.
"Are those weapons?"
no subject
"Cool, huh? Sadly, they're not the real thing, I'd need an arc reactor for that. No, see, I press this button and it lights up like this," which the glove does, firing off a blinking pattern of blue laser light off to the side with a sound very much like 'kshaw ksshhew'.
no subject
"Arc Reactor? That's the thing Tony has made, yes?"
She frowns when the gloves make noises.
"Those look like toys."
no subject
Wait a minute. Her silver-haired head perks a moment, and then turns quizzically upwards to Lauri. "... Tony?"
no subject
"Yes, Tony Stark," she says, though her voice does not make her sound happy to refer to the human. He was... a problematic person in her view.

This will be a short pose, all the ammo magazines in Reno's mind exploded all at once. Give her a moment for damage control to kick in.
no subject
He sure seemed to try and make her dislike him.

But there was something else. For all of the cruiser's fantasies, the mission always took priority. "Oh, yeah! You mentioned a security datapoint could let me use weapons? How's that work?"
no subject
"You go to the datapoint and touch it. Without the contact, without taking the datapoint, the weapons the Agrii created aren't possible to use. I don't know how, but it is true."
no subject
A smile at that, "Thank you for that, though! I'll go take a look."
no subject
"You should."

"I fear I do not even know what a whale is."
Because he doesn't know what it might be and if it needs a comb.
