[Open] Choosing A New Path
WHO: Lauri-Ell, Open
WHERE: Around Temba, Hospital
WHAT: Patrol and New Datapoint
WHEN: Mid-June to end of the month
WARNINGS: N/A
I. I Walk These Lonely Roads | Roads of Temba
No matter the decision as to whether her purpose here was changing or not, there was still some inherent things that were not going to change. After Lauri's morning work out she put up a sign at the civics center training area saying to contact her if someone wanted work out help. And then she set out to do the normal. Hammer in hand, Accuser armor wrapped around her, Lauri-Ell walked confidently through the early morning streets. It was time to do her patrols.
But she was getting started a little later today, and she was happy to see others around, raising her free hand in a greeting and offering them a smile.
"It grows warm in the mornings, yes? Very lovely."
II. Learning The Ropes | Hospital
It had taken time to come to this conclusion. Time and soul searching, and the kindness extended to her by Omega and Billy recently. And the realization that she did not need the weapons the Agrii provided to protect others. Which meant she could learn to protect people in more ways.
That didn't mean she entirely knew what to do with this knew knowledge. Lauri-Ell removed her hand from the datapoint and just... stood there for a moment.
"I still don't understand," she said, a bit frustrated before she turned and entered the hospital. "But I suppose I should see if there is a means to learn properly."

"So no more security?" Who wouldn't want to get to play with the guns?
no subject
She taps her hammer against the ground. "It is useful."
no subject
"Yeah, how come you get a big hammer, huh?" Not that Catra doesn't have her own share of weapons at this point. A whip. A buzz baton. One of the knives she'd stolen/never given back to Cayde. Still...no magic bigass hammer.

"All you giant ladies and your giant magic weapons. You've fit right in back home, you know that? The Princesses would love you."
no subject
"It is very heavy, and those not attuned can have more of a struggle. And you know others with great weapons?"
Princesses? Lauri-Ell blushes a little.
"I would help them save themselves if there was trouble."
no subject
She rolled her eyes with an amused smirk, "Of course you would. You know I was the trouble most of the time, right?"
no subject
What an interesting idea. She wishes to know more, but she's caught up in something else first.
"Did you choose to be the trouble, or were you forced to be the trouble?"
no subject
Her ears wilted a little then, and she shrugged defensively. "...Depends who you ask," she said, but then begrudgingly added, "...I choose to, all right?"
no subject
"I am asking you. And I wonder if perhaps you needed saved too."
Was it so strange to think that she might need saved from time to time?
no subject
"I'm the bad guy. I fight the Princesses, I lead the armies of the Horde, I'm the one who brought us out of Despondos for Horde Prime to find us. It's all my fault." And to her surprise her eyes had welled up with tears, voice breaking.
no subject
"If it was, then why are you so sad? You seem ready to cry, Catra. Perhaps you do need saved."
no subject
"It's not something I can change now," she muttered. How did you come back from that? How did you admit you were wrong after everything she'd done?
