WHO: pietro and YOU
WHERE: around, palm cottage, civic center
WHAT: a lil exploring, meeting people, dipping his toes in
WHEN: few days after arrival
WARNINGS: tba
A. AROUND
[it is totally not acceptable for him to go about wearing only the uniform he got from the avengers, and the idea of it getting ruined because of how much he shoves it in the wash is not something he wants. he’ll never admit it, but it’s pretty damn cool that he got an avengers uniform.
also, it has got a bullet hole he would like patched up at some point.
he will go where the people are, showing up seemingly out of nowhere in front of whoever is happening to mind their own business.]
Hey.
Where can I find new clothes? [and, also, pointing at his arm—] Can you sew?
B. CIVIC CENTER
[if there is one thing pietro is not going to slack off on, it’s getting a workout routine set out for himself. besides, is there anything else he could be doing with his time? it’s only been a few days and he’s getting bored; he needs to go go go, but that—really—is on him.
at least there being a gym helps him with killing time.
shame about a lack of machines, but the weights work out just fine for him.
just as he’s setting down a curl barbell to the ground (with a little too much noise, oof), he wipes the sweat off his forehead and glances at the obstacle course. warm-up, done. so, this, at whoever else may be in the gym with him:]
Anyone can go?
C. PALM COTTAGE
[what’s more annoying in a ship than having someone run back and forth along the sixty meters of a ship?
—nah, there can’t possibly be something worse that comes to mind, even if the individual who is racing along the length of the ship is moving at such speed that they are hard to spot. said individual finally comes into view as he reaches for, in normal speed, across the floor of the dining area, the wall at the end of the dining area, seeming to be trying to catch his breath.]
Just—a minute...
[maybe there is a reason to this madness of running around?]
D. HANGAR ( CLOSED TO WANDA )
Twin Roses, it does not make sense.
[he is grumbling to himself, a quality of annoyance on his face as he debates this whole thing all by himself, born out of finding it obvious that he should be with his sister. really, he just hates having to walk however many steps it takes him to get to the twin roses (and for him it's really nothing, considering how quickly he could get it over and done with).
pietro, however, cheers up the moment he sees his sister near the ship he had been grumbling about. he beelines it with his speed, reaching for her arm with a hand.]
You were going to show me, yes? [he grins, good-naturedly.] It looks really nice from the outside.
[(maybe a little space is better, sometimes).]

C - Palm Cottage
Only to immediately hear noises like running on it without someone in sight. Well, no one until he heard the words 'Just a minute'. Reeve, who was walking down the hall toward the bunk room, shook his head.]
Whoever is there, be you person or ghost, I'm not prone to waiting around.
[Mini, the not-so-small robot-cat-doll at his side chuckled at that.]
Yah say that but we both know that ya will wait fa tha chocobos ta come home when it moves ya.
no subject
and so he slams pedal to the metal, towards the hall the leads to the bunk room area, and appears besides reeve.]
Do you normally speak like that?
[because it was not the doll that spoke just now, was it? (also, says the guy with an accent.)]
no subject
Yes, I do. And you are not the first to offer commentary on my turn of phrase. Usually it is Tony, though.
[Of course it's not Reeve that spoke in the heavily scottish Accent. Mini crosses his arms to consider Pietro.]
I dunnae, Reeve, ya sound a wee bit stuck up.
[Reeve sighed and looked to Mini.]
You and I need to have a conversation on your polite company conversation, Mini.
no subject
[he points at mini, pausing in mild surprise as it speaks again and seems to be communicating with the man? what the hell is happening here?
once the surprise wears off, pietro is quick to lean over to be at the same height as mini, hands on his knees as he tilts his head to also consider it in return.]
This is really cool. What are you supposed to be?
[he is having a conversation with mini. thanks for your support, reeve.]

A - The Hotel Lobby
What she hadn't expected was a man to just appear, like magic, and speak to her. Lark opened an eye and looked up at the man.]
Yes, I know where clothing can be found. I can also alter it to fit you. And what is it you need sewn? I am a specialist.
[A very simple way to say 'I am a thread mage']
no subject
You do? [a wide grin breaks out and he decides to, uh, join her by sitting on the floor.] I would like more clothes than just this that I have. [he points at his left arm.] This is what needs to be fixed.
Can it be done?
no subject
There are old clothing pieces here from when the Agrii lived in this place. Items made of long lasting materials. I try to adapt them to people. I also make cloth. So yes, I can make more.
[She frowns at the holes though.]
I can fix that, but were you shot with a crossbow?
no subject
[time to up the charm to a thousand; he smiles boyishly, a little coyly.]
You need anything, you let me know. I will find it and help you as payment. Do not let me get this for free; your time and effort must have a price. As for this? It was a bullet.

CIVIC CENTER
I mean they can. [She gives him another pointed once over, suggesting she doubts his ability to manage it successfully.]
no subject
[he looks from the obstacle course and then to the girl talking to him—except whatever he is going to say kind of dies before he can say it.]
... You have cat ears and a tail.
[this.
this is what he wants to focus on.]
=^.^=
...Yeah? [She crosses her arms and gives him a look.] And the sky's blue. You got anymore facts you wanna get off your chest?
nyaa
Sorry, I do not mean to be rude. It is just... very unusual for me.

[She ducks her head a little as she responds, voice tiny, posture meek.]

[currently invested in his own situation, after getting the answers to his questions, pietro zooms off again—but as if remembering something, he returns just as quickly.]
Wait, you said you just arrived? Me, too.
[things to be enthused about.]
I'm Pietro. What is your name?
no subject
Asterope, sir. And yes, just a few days ago. From Earth, originally.
no subject
[well, that's nice to know. pietro considers her for a moment, hopes that he's pronouncing her name right when he does speak.]
Maybe from the same Earth, even? What year is it for you before you arrived, Asterope?

I've always been with this ship, except for the year we were on Naviadna after we left the Fleet. It isn't how it was, but Tommy's done a lot of work on it. You'll see.
[When she lets him in, she makes a beeline for the cargo bay.] This is where I sleep. We don't have rooms anymore and...it's hard to sleep so close to so many other minds.
[The walls of the cargo bay are lined in planters with a complicated-looking irrigation system. They eat well here, and it does a lot to make the ship feel a lot less cold and inorganic.]
no subject
—kinda weird to think someone else has the same powers as me.
[yes, tommy he had met. he doesn't stop to consider how strange that may have been for wanda, though he remembers the guy saying that family topic was always a little of a touchy subject with her.
in they go, taking in the look of the cargo bay.]
They're too loud?
[he pokes at one of the planters, then turns to her.]
They all treat you nicely here?
no subject
[The other Vision might have messed up their marriage, but she didn't lose her brother and she was born with her powers. She didn't get them through some hellish experiment.]
A lot of us have bad dreams. It is...not good for anyone, for me to sleep in the same room as them. But they're nice.

As it is, Felwinter has been touring the ship, an equally curious and certainly unusual ship at that. The wood is a strange choice. The plants, even more so. When Felspring notifies him of that zoomie presence, so much closer and finally visible, the warlord drops his gloved hand from the leaves he'd been inspecting, his head turning towards the human.
He might be an unusual, perhaps even concerning sight if one isn't very comfortable around humanoid robots, at least, if his face is anything to show for it. He's without his helmet, his sleek Exo head like a black skull of metal containing a burning gaze that might be somewhat unsettling as they fix upon the winded man. Other than that, he's completely clothed, favoring a greatcoat, heavy boots and gloves.]
no subject
a little unsettling, even.
pietro does use his superhuman speed to move a bit further back, closer to the doorway.]
Uh — [this isn't some ultron-like bot, right?] You know it is rude to stare, yes?
no subject
As rude as it is to race about and virtually appear out of nowhere?
[His tone seems significantly blander by way of expression than Ultron's, with just the barest coloring of a personality to separate him from some standard AI. Seeing how tense the man is, Felwinter remains where he is, folding his arms in front of him.]

Uhm? Where...oh, there... [ Looking at the obstacle course opside down makes him a tiny bit dizzy and his hand slips, which means that he falls to the floor before he can even finish answering Pietro.
Ouch.
Sitting upright, Alberto shakes his head, looking no worse for wear, and scratches the back of his head, smiling. Kids yo, they're made of rubber at this age. ]
Uh...Yes, I think so! I've never tried it myself.
no subject
guess who could have gone to him and made sure he didn't hurt himself? surely this speedy guy could have! but kids are at that prime age when they ought to get a little bruised to grow up strong and healthy. whatever that logic may be.]
Well, you certainly have authority in the matter, little guy.
[it is said in good humor, and pietro approaches alberto, squatting down at eye level.]
You good?
[at least he's checking!]
no subject
You're new here, then? I've been in Temba only for about a month or so. [ Alberto didn't expect anybody to catch him, and he isn't aware of Pietro's powers, so he gives the man a casual smile at the way he was addressed. ]
Yea, I'm fine! I jumped from other places, the cliffs of Portorosso were much higher than this.
