The littlest Jedi
WHO: Grogu and YOU
WHERE: All around Temba
WHAT: Catch all
WHEN: early August
WARNINGS: CUTENESS
Jedi practice
Grogu knows he needs to practice using the Force. It's the only way he'll get better and not get exhausted so quickly. So he's found a quiet spot outside to sit. He's got an array of stones (And a little metal sphere) Before him. Closing his eyes, he holds his hands out and focuses. The items begin to float. They rise in the air and begin to float in a slow circle around him. Now he just has to see how long he can keep this up.
The Beach
All work and no play... We know how that goes.
Grogu has found his way to the beach and is currently humming to himself as he builds a sand structure. It's tough to tell what it is, but the kid seems to be enjoying himself.
Except he hasn't noticed the lobster creeping up on him. Halp?
Wildcard
You know what to do with this. If you have ideas or requests hit me up!

He stops upon noticing it's not a land dweller, or at least not a human. Alberto to figure out this is the green kid who's been eating Cayde's fishes, going by the description he got from the Exo and others. Ezra mentioned the child name to him, too, but Alberto doesn't quite remember it. Greg? Yogurt? Something like that. It's kinda cute, big ears and all, and Alberto is fond of children. Grogu is too distracted to notice him, so Alberto is about to go head back towards his hideout when he spots the lobster moving close to the kid. Ah, crap.
He quickly crosses the distance separating them in two strides and slaps it with his tail with a loud TWACK! leaving the lobster half-buried in the purple sand, twitching.
"Tsk. Nasty things. You okay?"
Practice
Hopefully he doesn't startle the young one too much, not even considering the possibility in favor of remaining silent as he doesn't want to break Grogu's concentration. Beside him hovers his Ghost, also saying nothing as she watches. It's a different sort of power that this child uses, much different than that which the Light provides them.

With a mischievous grin on his muzzle, the little lion crouches, stalking quietly through grass and around rubble. Getting closer and closer like the mighty hunter he is. When he's just a few feet away, his butt wiggles and lunges! Running up to swat the ball out of the air with intention of chasing after it.
The beach
For a moment she does watch, uncertain of the situation, but alright, this may not actually be the best. Her foot does come, not stepping on the crawling creature, but placing an obstacle between it and the other being. Her eyes do turn, dropping to where the green species seems to be playing in the dirt. "That is not yours, is it?"
For all she knows, it is a pet or something...
Practice
When Kaz had first seen the kid he didn't realize how young this little guy was. Or that the big ears went right along with his odd diet. Despite both of those, this was certainly not a human child but a child all the same. This was actually not the first time Kaz had seen Grogu using the Force.
"I don't think you should try to eat the rocks."
Makin' it even with beach!
"Hey, padawan. Looks like I just caught us lunch."
no subject
He nods. Yeah. They're not so good to eat, at least not like that. After a pause, he waves. Uh. Hi.
no subject
The objects come to a stop with the silver ball in front of him. The rocks lower to the ground and the ball lowers into his outstretched hand as he opens his eyes. He smiles at the stranger, waving his other hand. Hi.
HDU
Grogu opens his eyes with a dismayed noise. Hey! What gives! He looks around, trying to figure out who the heck would be so rude!
no subject
Her approach gets Grogu's attention. He turns with a slightly surprised noise, his ears lowering a little. He mentally scolds himself for being so careless as to let something sneak up on him. Oh, but she has a question!
He looks up at her, then down at the creature. When his gaze returns to her, he shakes his head. Nope. Not his!
>:3
It's shiny. It bounces. And its just so much fun to chase! He's a cat, he just can't help himself. Having no idea how important the thing is to Grogu. It just looked fun to play with.
no subject
Finally, he opens his eyes and looks up at the speaker. He tilts his head, his ears raising curiously. Eat? Why would he eat the rocks?
\o/
He smiles, tilting his head. Lunch?
:<
Grogu frowns at the yellow creature playing with his ball. Raising his hand, he focuses. It only takes a moment before the ball zips out of the creature's reach and into his hand.
:O
With a whoop and a laugh, Simba pounces on the ball. Having it in his paws and then suddenly... its not. Simba blinks in confusion and looks up, his ears turning forward. What just happened?
Blinking a few times he gets up and walks over to Grogu. "Hey... how'd you do that?"
no subject
"The last time I saw you making things float, you floated a fish into your hand. And then you ate it whole."
For all Kaz knew, Grogu ate anything he floated.
no subject
"I did not mean to bother. Please feel free to carry on. I have never seen such an ability before."
no subject
"Good! I'm Alberto Scorfanp, a pleasure to meet you." He lets go after a moment, looking around for any possible adults and seeing no one. "Oh, are you all alone?"
no subject
The lobster snaps its pincers to confirm her advice and scrabbles against the side of the bucket.

“Oh…” he says in sudden realization. Seeing the way Grogu checks the ball for scratches. The lion cub laying down to peer at the metal ball.
“It’s important to you, huh?”
no subject
"Here." It's several feet away that Gamora places the strange shelled animal, assuming it would be fine there, before turning back. "There. It shouldn't bother you now."
no subject
Looking around, he shrugs a little. Yeah, he guesses he's alone. What of it?
no subject
He looks down at his circle of rocks. He hasn't? Right. Not everyone has seen the Jedi doing their thing. He reaches out his free hand and lifts a trio of rocks, floating them over towards the stranger.

How to demonstrate... Oh! He reaches out a hand and lifts the rocks off the ground again. He focuses for a moment and they float into a slightly crooked smiley face.

"Why didn't you use the silver ball this time? I'm not going to steal it or anything."
Yes, Grogu was apparently a child but as with Alberto and Omega, Kaz talked to any child the same way he would talk to an adult. Maybe a bit less rude, and he might be generally nicer, but still.
no subject
"My abilities are not so delicate," Felwinter notes. "Except perhaps a healing well."
no subject
no subject
“Why? Did someone give it to you?”
no subject

"Ah, I see." No way he's leaving the kid all alone on the beach where more nasty creatures could show up. The problem is that he will inevitably dry off if he stays out of the water. Alberto leaves the fish in the sand, he will take care of it later, and after checking no one else is around, he squats down to Grogu's eye level.
"Could you keep a secret? I want to show you something but it's a special thing adults can't know about."
Little does he knows that he's talking to a 50-year-old being, oh well.

Healing? That's a very specialized field. He tilts his head curiously at him.

He nods. He's on the beach by himself. That's what she meant, right?
no subject
The rocks lower to the ground. His ears lower at the same time. Oh. That. Uh. One hand touches the pocket protectively. It's his ball. He doesn't like sharing it.

Still smiling, Alberto shakes himself like a dog, getting rid of the excess water covering him. The blue scales retreat into his body, leaving tanned, freckled skin behind. The purple fins in his head change to curly brown hair. He has ears now, as well as rounded pupils even if his eyes are still bright green. His tail and the fins on his arms and leg disappear altogether. He looks as human as any other kid now, even with five fingers one each hands instead of the four he had before.
"Taaada! I look like this when dry."
no subject
Smiling, he nods and turns back to his castle. It's crude but definitely looks like it's based on something from Coruscant.
no subject
He feels a little bad now because he knows how important it can be when someone gives you something.
"Do you want to play with something else?"
no subject
"I just said I wasn't going to steal it."
no subject
"That's real nice, hon. You should put some little shells around the bottom, like speeders."
