Jedi practice

Grogu knows he needs to practice using the Force. It's the only way he'll get better and not get exhausted so quickly. So he's found a quiet spot outside to sit. He's got an array of stones (And a little metal sphere) Before him. Closing his eyes, he holds his hands out and focuses. The items begin to float. They rise in the air and begin to float in a slow circle around him. Now he just has to see how long he can keep this up.

The Beach

All work and no play... We know how that goes.

Grogu has found his way to the beach and is currently humming to himself as he builds a sand structure. It's tough to tell what it is, but the kid seems to be enjoying himself.

Except he hasn't noticed the lobster creeping up on him. Halp?

Practice

Usually, Kaz wouldn't be much for sneaking up on anyone since the 'thunk' of his cane punctuated his steps.

When Kaz had first seen the kid he didn't realize how young this little guy was. Or that the big ears went right along with his odd diet. Despite both of those, this was certainly not a human child but a child all the same. This was actually not the first time Kaz had seen Grogu using the Force.

"I don't think you should try to eat the rocks."

The sound of the cane cuts through Grogu's concentration. He manages to hold on, though the objects waver in the air. They come to a slow stop with the ball in front of him. Letting go, they all fall. The rocks hit the ground while the ball falls into his outstretched hand.

Finally, he opens his eyes and looks up at the speaker. He tilts his head, his ears raising curiously. Eat? Why would he eat the rocks?

Kaz just looked right back at Grogu.

"The last time I saw you making things float, you floated a fish into your hand. And then you ate it whole."

For all Kaz knew, Grogu ate anything he floated.

He shakes his head. He doesn't eat everything he makes float. It's just easier to catch fish that way! Looking down at his silver ball, he tucks it into his pocket for safe keeping.

How to demonstrate... Oh! He reaches out a hand and lifts the rocks off the ground again. He focuses for a moment and they float into a slightly crooked smiley face.

...well that was kind of cute and mildly disturbing at the same time. Kaz had seen grisha magick plenty, so the idea of folks that had special powers doing superhuman stuff didn't bother him. But, come on, who wouldn't be mildly disturbed by a floaty smiley face?

"Why didn't you use the silver ball this time? I'm not going to steal it or anything."

Yes, Grogu was apparently a child but as with Alberto and Omega, Kaz talked to any child the same way he would talk to an adult. Maybe a bit less rude, and he might be generally nicer, but still.

He's only trying to be polite! A smiley face means happy, right?

The rocks lower to the ground. His ears lower at the same time. Oh. That. Uh. One hand touches the pocket protectively. It's his ball. He doesn't like sharing it.

Kaz frowned, a little offended at that. No proper thief would steal a toy from a little kid.

"I just said I wasn't going to steal it."
