001- I WANT to know what's going on?
Who: Billy Kaplan and OPEN
What: Exploring the power plant, the hotel, and being sick
When: First few days on Agra 10
Where: The power plant, and the hotel
Warnings: N/A will edit as needed.
The Power Plant
Because of course Billy Kaplan would immediately head away from safety and towards possible danger. Not that the weird squirrel like things are proving too much of a hazard, but he is getting pretty far from town. The path isn't too difficult to manage, but he does have the advantage of floating lazily over any fallen debris or dangers.
His feet return to the ground as he finds the power plant, head tilting curiously as he sets out to explore. There's a bunch of tools, and some strange crystal things, none of which seem of much use until he find the data point. He hesitates a moment before giving into the urge to touch it, shivering at the strange sensation and the sudden knowledge that follows.
The Hotel
Despite how run down everything is, Billy feels wrong about approaching the stores as a means of shelter. Of course, the hotel practically screams 'you-might-get-murdered-here' but beggars can't be chooser, and he's reasons maybe they'll actually be some kind of bed. His magic isn't working so great, the less he has the conjure up the better.
He tries to get handle on the layout, exploring a few floors before finding a room that seems to be more or less empty. Of people or animals that is. What it is full of is debris. Trash, broken furniture, some stuff he doesn't want to examine too closely.
While he's still got a bit of light to work with he tries to clear the worst of it out.
The Contagion
It's slow to hit him, but Billy eventually has to admit he isn't feeling great, and it's not just his powers being weaker than usual. He's hot, and sore, and increasingly paranoid, which makes it rather difficult to get him to listen to reason and stay put.
He keeps leaving his room, too sick to make it anywhere in particular but sure he needs to get out of there, suspicious of anyone who tries to approach him.
[OOC: Fine with brackets or prose, as well as present or past tense, reply how you prefer and I will match. If you want to plot stuff out first feel free to pm me here, or hit me up on plurk @

Contagion AKA STAY THE FUCK STILL
And yet sick Billy is clearly an idiot. Like, literally the biggest fucking idiot ever. Like right up there with 'I don't wanna be a hero anymore' sorts of stupidity. And apparently 'summon interdimensional parasites' stupidity. But right now, this was its own sort of destructiveness.
Tommy had gone out to get Billy some water, and by the time he came back, his brother wasn't in their room again. Frustrated he of course goes looking, and when he finds his twin, he sweeps Billy up into his arms.
"You're going to be the death of me."
no subject
"No- don't take me back. It's not safe there- I don't wanna be there, please-" he begs, hands glowing weakly. Luckily for Tommy he doesn't have nearly the focus needed to actually do any magic
And then, at last, a semi ration worry- "You'll get sick-"
no subject
"Haven't gotten sick yet," Tommy counters. "Haven't been sick once since my mutation. So shut up. It'll be safe. You think I'm going to let something hurt you?"
no subject
"That can't be true-" he mutters, sounding briefly closer to his usual self, and Billy frowns to himself, shaking his head. Tommy wouldn't let anything hurt him. But...he was still sure it wasn't safe, and he groans, rubbing a hand over his too hot face, trying to shake those fears from his mind. "...Something going to happen."

"I got water for you."

Power Plant
But before he could even begin to work on any scavenged electronics, they'd need power.
Not quite the first to make it to the plant, he calls out to Billy when he notices someone else around. "Hello. May I ask if you have found anything of interest?"
Of course the answer should be yes - there are interesting things all around - but the person's answer might help enlighten Delta as to what manner of things there are, and what this person finds interesting.
no subject
"Uh...yeah, kinda," he says, motioning for the other to come closer, "There's like these crystal battery things, and- found a bunch of stuff, but it might be easier if you touch the thing," he gestures to the data point, "I can't explain it as well as it will."
no subject
He smiles in what looks like relief.
"There is a power grid," he notes. Yes, he'd suspected as much, but it's a relief to know the city is at least in some ways laid out like a human one. "And we may be able to get it working."
He wipes his hand on his pants to get rid of a little of the persistent debris and holds it out. "I am called Delta."
no subject
He smiles in return, and reaches to shake, nodding eagerly.
"Billy. Nice to meet you."
no subject
He smiles ruefully. "And then perhaps we can have indoor plumbing."

Hotel!
"Hey," he greets. Steve offers a quick smile before going for one of the larger chunks of...concrete, maybe? Some sort of rock at any rate. Even Steve has to put some effort into moving it. Not a lot, mind you, but still. "Hadta pick the fixer-upper room, huh?"
<3
"Few coats of paint and it'll be the envy of the whole hotel," he counters with a smirk. "You all right with that?" he adds, fingers splayed as though to offer support.
Billy is so cute omg
"Yeah," he agrees. "Some paint. Maybe a human-sized bed and a mattress? You could charge people for your decorating services." He crosses back over to the debris and starts gathering up smaller bits of rock and plant. "I'd hire you to redo mine and Buck's..."
^_^ You just killed him
"Yeah?" Billy looks around in consideration, and for a moment he lets his fingers glow, the room briefly taking on the appearance of a tidy and friendly looking hotel room, complete with chocolate on the pillow. "Something like that?" he asks, letting the illusion fade away, "Or maybe a little less modern?"
Omg Billy <3
"I'd be happy with the candy alone." He whistles, low. "This is impressive. Illusion?"

Hotel
Hey. [She recognizes him, but she doubts it will be returned. At least, she doesn't expect him to recognize her but a counterpart of herself—a different Kitty Pryde of the X-Men. One that was from a less Apocalypse-y world. That's how it went before when she met him in the prison and then again in the fleet. This is her third abduction. She's met a lot of people if only briefly in some cases. And she's met a lot of people several times.]
(OOC: Hey, just wanted to check in. She has CRAU memories of him obviously. Just let me know if you want her to keep that info to herself. We can always discuss more on plurk if you want! I'm hauntedreality there.)
no subject
He flushes a little, head tilting at the familiar way she addresses him.]
...Hey. [He answers belatedly.] You're...Shadowcat, right? Kitty Pryde?
[ooc: Hi! Yeah, feel free to tell him, he's a least a little familiar with alternate versions of himself, it shouldn't be too brain breaking for him.]
no subject
I guess this means I'm not the only mutant here.
And correct as usual, Billy. Though I haven't used Shadowcat much in the last few years.
(OOC: Thanks!)
no subject
[Assuming he and Tommy actually are mutants. He still hasn't had the testing done, but it makes the most sense.
His head tilts in question.]
As usual?
no subject
I'm not from your world. [On that point, at least, she can be sure. After all, Wanda died on the X-Men's first mission before Kitty's time, but she knew the mythology. She knew what not to bring up around Pietro and Erik.]
But I've met... [pausing so she doesn't just say "you"] Billys before. This isn't my first multidimensional abduction.

contagion
...on second thought, maybe longer than a little while. Once she'd found somewhere to curl up against the wall, moving seemed like a terrible idea. This is bad - she doesn't want to have to psychically call Vision to come get her later, but the wall against her forehead is cool and she's not sure she can convince her body to stand without a good reason.
But she hears footsteps and her head snaps up, fingers beginning to glow with the first hints of power. "Hello? Who's there?"
no subject
"Mo- ...Wanda?" he asks, correcting himself part way through, cheeks flush in the hopes she doesn't notices. He is not in the proper state to deal with the whole 'secret alternate reality retro reincarnated sons'...thing.
no subject
"Just resting," she says, because she has enough presence of mind to be aware that curling up in a dark corner is not a normal thing to do and that Billy is probably going to ask. "It's too hot."
no subject
"You're sick too?"
no subject
"Not as bad as some people, or maybe it is something different?" Thankfully she's not itchy or covered in spots, just feverish, exhausted, and paranoid, and everything aches. "I would tell you to stay away but I guess it's too late." She closes her eyes. "I'm sorry. My powers can't fix this."
