Cobb Vanth here. I spent most of my early life in mines. If anyone else is around and hasn't gone off to the new city I want to explore what's opened up. You never do that alone so if I can get at least one person to watch my back I'd appreciate it.

I'd like to go in the morning. First go through to see what needs fixing up and mapping the area. Figure out from there how much work the mines will need and what happens next.

I am unsure as to how many have decided to head out, but I did not think it wise to leave the city unattended in the meantime.

I too am curious about what it is these Agrii insist we find. If you need someone to watch your back, I will lend my assistance.

Enough that they'll have plenty for exploring.

I'll take another set of eyes down there. Always needed in a mine. You got a light source? Gonna need one, I'm guessing.

Alright. Next problem we've got to solve is how to check air quality down there. Any ideas on that one?

The air? I admit, that is not something I have ever thought to consider before. What would we need to check?

To make sure we can breathe it safely.

I would like you join you, Cobb. We don't have maps of the mines, correct? I can create maps as we move, in case there are splits in the path. Mini can also serve as a forward scout, and with my magic, we'll have additional protection if needed.

Always happy to work with you, Reeve. We need lights and we need some way to make sure the air is good.

We can likely carry in lights if we need to. The air I wish I could help with testing. Sadly Mini doesn't breathe so that doesn't help. But if we can contrive a way for him to test it, he can walk in front of us in the tunnels to let us know.

We should all carry lights. Well, in the old days, they'd take scurries, animals from home, and if they died the air was bad. Not something that I think folks would agree to do here.

I've never heard of scurries. I'd say maybe Tony could make something to help, but I doubt it. Perhaps that Drake boy? He seems technically minded and focused on gizmos. Or the gentleman named Beck?

Drake's offered to help. He's got a probe that can sense the air. And there's a new guy here who doesn't breathe so I'd say we've got some scouts.

Make sure you've got a light of some sort. Most important part of going underground.

I will be adequately prepared.

You got any way to check air quality? Or any ideas on how we can do that? It's the second important part of going underground. Breathing.

Only for debris, not toxins, and I'm not a good comparison to an unaltered person anyway. We may need to seek assistance from one of the people who wear armor, assuming those helmets have air filtering equipment.

You gotta good idea there. I'll ask Mando though I'm pretty sure he's run off to the new town. I got a helmet on Coruscant. Not sure it can check air quality though.

I'll join you. Any ideas what that pink thing meant when it said something was wrong down there?

Nope. I know there were big bugs in there before. That's it.

Charming. It also said the bugs were gone. Did you notice how many contradictions there were in that brief message?

Can't say I did. Mostly saw mines were open and everyone else run off to the new town.

[dr_riley]

I don't think they were ever closed. The leader, Gary? Said they picked up a strange energy signature coming from within the mines, but that they couldn't see into the mines. Somehow, without knowing what's going on down there, they not only promised that the bugs were gone, but that we'd be safe.

They were closed because big bugs were living in them. These aliens have transported us through time so I'm willing to trust them when they say the bugs are gone. If you're worried bring a weapon.
