Greenhouse
In order to help out, Shiro had started going to the greenhouse to assist where he could. He wasn't the most knowledgeable with plants, data point or not, but he could handle jobs like watering and weeding. All tasks that needed to get done in order to make sure that the plants they did have thrived so they would grow.

Also harvesting mint as he had been spending time with the Glownies, but that was not today.

Today he had set himself to weeding, humming a little bit under his breath as he did.

Starduck
The kitchen seemed to a safe enough place on the ship to just hang out. Shiro had headed in there, settling himself at a table, sipping at his cup of tea. He was lost in thought, staring at the wall for a moment as though it might do something interesting at any moment.

Of course... it wasn't.

Glownies!
Shiro had been spending time with the Glownies ever since Tommy had introduced him to them. They were rather cute and something about them was very calming to him. Spending time with them was a productive way to look after an animal and take care of them and relax at the same time. Sometimes, he'd talk to them about things and they'd listen but not necessarily really understand and couldn't repeat. Things that were just good to get off his chest... like the fact that he still was trying to process what had happened to Adam.

But it meant that no one else heard it... maybe.

One of the days though, when he was returning back, he found he had a tagalong. One of the Glownies had snuck out and decided to follow him. It was rather happily trotting along after him, tail flipping.

"What are you doing?" Shiro asked it with a smile. "Are you trying to come home with me?"

[ooc: if your character would be around the Glownie pasture, feel free to have them overhear Shiro talking to the Glownies]

"Do they? That's interesting. Maybe these Glownies are a lot like sheep in that way. One likes clover, one likes mint."

He reached over to pet the Glownie they were still walking and it made a happy sound.

"They are good to talk to and friendly to be around. I can't imagine anyone could be bored being around them."

Were mint and clover really all that different? Lark most definitely didn't know.

"Nor can I. Perhaps, though, it would be nice if there was a herd dog. TO help keep them in line."

Shiro had no idea either. He'd never studied them at all so he had no idea if there was a difference between them. They could be the same family or different ones, he wouldn't know.

"Ah, yes, that would be nice. To run around them and help make sure they go where we want them too... or not somewhere we don't."

Dogs, yes they needed some. Perhaps even some felines or other animals suited to keeping vermin down. It wasn't like Lark could work the sort of wards to protect and preserve food.

"Alas the lack of pups."

He chuckled.

"Well, Keith does have a wolf, but that might be a little intimidating for them."

A wolf! Lark looks in shock at the man.

"Someone here has tamed a wolf?"

Of course she hasn't met Moonshade yet. She would be very amused to know there were two wolves.

"It's more of a space wolf so it is not the same as a normal one. But it listens to him about everything so it is very smart as well."

A space wolf? Lark raised an eyebrow at that. What an interesting thing to have. What makes one a space wolf.

"Can you describe a space wold?"

"Well... Kosmo is larger than I expect a normal wolf to be when at his normal size. His fur is various shades of blue with some patches that look like they could glow. The face is very similar to a normal wolf, but the nose seems slightly different. Also, he's much smarter than a normal wolf. Oh, and teleporting."

"His normal size? That's a very interesting statement there," Lark noted. Still, the description is an interesting one and she tries to create it in her mind.

Not that she got it right, but that wouldn't surprise her.

"Teleporting? That's a very potent and rare magic indeed."

"He's... smaller than normal. It was something with where they were before? When he arrived, he wasn't normal size. More like a pup."

He nodded. "It is. He's very good at it. As long as you are touching Kosmo when he teleports, you will travel with him when he teleports."

A pup, huh? A pup sounds cute. A blue wolf pup, that teleported. How interesting.

"Powerful magic beyond what much of my world has, without it being Unmagic. I hope he's safe."

"He is. Very safe. Unless you are fighting with Keith and then all bets are off. Somehow I don't think that will be an issue. But yeah. My home planet didn't have magic the same way that space seems. Kosmo is an animal found in space with those abilities naturally."

"It is perhaps just true that there is no great source of magical energy on your home work," Lark answered. "Or perhaps there was and it has been forgotten."

There are old magics forgotten all the time, after all. Magics rediscovered, magics that needed to be learned or created.

"It's honestly hard to say anymore. If I hadn't seen the worlds that lay beyond our solar system, I'd honestly say that there was never any magic on my world. Now, I'm not so sure that it was not there. I mean, the Blue Lion was hiding there for quite some time."

He glanced down at the Glownie walking with them.

"Those who do not live their lives so constantly tied up with the embrace of magic can sometimes miss the small touches of it that linger around them," Lark offered. "And when one doesn't have an attunement to it, it can be even easier to miss."

So really, it wasn't his fault.

"Hmm... that is possible. I rather early in life stopped believing that magic existed and the only way I could get anything done was try my best. I know a few people like that. It wasn't until we connected with Voltron that I began to figure it out."

As they were nearing the pasture, other small glowing horses were coming over to watch them, possibly wondering how the escapee was on the other side of fence.

"The door?" Lark said, gesturing to the glass ones to ask him if he might open them.

"There are many, even in my world, who know there are magic but do not know much of it, or care for it. It does mot make you very strange."

"Of course." Shiro stepped forward to open the door so they could try to get their charge back inside. Of course, a few of them had to come closer to watch, but Shiro carefully shooed them back a few steps.

"Good to hear that I'm not strange. Well... at least not that way." He's joking. Really he is.

"No one is truly strange, Shiro. They are merely from a different experience than those who might view them," she offered with a grin as she broke the thread and brought it back before shooing the glownie on.

"Of course. I've seen a lot of things I never thought I would have. It gives a good perspective on that."

The glownie went back into the pasture and Shiro closed the door behind it.

"Don't go following anyone else out."

Let's hope it listened.

One really must hope. Lark chuckled at the admonition and she nodded to Shiro was she rewound her tread in her pouch.

"I believe that this may well be where we part as well, young man."

"Seems like it. Thanks for your help. I hope we can talk more later."

The woman offered a bow to him.

"Mila preserve you, Shiro."

And with that finally well wishing she turned to head back to the hotel.
