Please, Captain. I'm not going to accept your jacket, so you may as well put it back where it was.
[ It has sentimental value, whether or not Steve will admit to it, and Garak can't take it from the man. He can find other ways to handle the cold. ]

[He holds it out again, closer to the other man's face as though proximity alone will wear away his objections.]
I got the guy himself. This is just fabric.

It must be a Human trait, to be so stubborn to a point of near forcefulness. But very well, Captain, I will accept your jacket, on the condition that I will return it to you once things are back to normal.
[ Or whatever passes for 'normal' around here, anyway. ]
Oh, it is indeed unfortunate that none of us can change the temperature settings, this is much too cold for me.

If you ask Bucky I'm more stubborn than the average bear, so I might skew the data.
[He sits down on the edge of the bed and reaches a hand forward to check Garak's temperature before realizing he has no idea if that would work for his species. They seem somewhat reptilian so who knows what a normal temperature is.]
In the war we'd sometimes huddle up for body warmth. If you think that would help? I don't want you getting sick...

[ As if he can talk, honestly. If anything it's almost hypocritical how Garak says this as though he hasn't caused his own fair share of headaches to the people around them due to how stubborn he is.
Garak shifts on the bed, looking Steve up and down, eyes wide in surprise. ]
That's... quite an offer, Captain. [ A chill runs down his spine just in time to remind him how cold the whole room is. He sighs. ] But my condition is quite precarious, I'm afraid... I'm more amenable to accept your help than usual.
[ He tries to wiggle enough to offer Steve a corner of the bed. ] But it will be a tight fit, I'm afraid. [ They're both rather large, and the mattress is very narrow. ]

Still, he has to laugh a little as he struggles to stay onto the bed and manages it only when smashed up against the other's side. It's absolutely ridiculous. ]
Bucky is a pretty big guy too so I am used to tight squeezes in bed. He keeps my temperature, though, so this is the first time I've not been brought to a sweat by it.
