Rayla
Like setting food gel on fire in the kitchen, or locking herself in the cargo bay, or various other "fun" activities... Oops?]
FIRE?! C'MON!
He grabs a large bowl and sets it over the flames to smother them.]
I guess you're not Agriculture affinity, huh?

Ah, no. I didnae use any o' the Data Points. Is that the one you can use in the kitchen?
[If this could be called a kitchen. There was no fire pit!]

Honestly it might be better burned. Anything could improve it, I think. Can't get much worse.
no subject
Sorry. I hope I didnae mess things up too badly.
[She was way out of her element here, and it was beginning to show. At least, outside of the ship, in the town, she could hunt or something that provided something useful. But here... not so much.]

[He still dumps it out though. The room smells of charred protein. Steve grabs some random vegetables out of the fridge and starts to cut them up. The room smells of burnt protein and cooking, alien food now. It's....interesting.]
We'll see if we can get The Vision to do the cooking from now on. I think he'd manage well.
Have you met him?

[Rayla's eaten some pretty interesting things. And, being on the road for a while, she's been foraging mostly for food, considering her exploits with the two human princes had been a comedy of errors when it came to their supplies.]
I have! [She brightened at the name.] He definitely seems to know what he's talkin' about.
[She watched Steve carefully. She was used to cooking over an open campfire... not on a stove...]

[One of the vegetables changes color and Steve smiles before pushing it over. He's pretty sure it should taste okay.]
You don't mind it?
no subject
[She watched him with the vegetable, and then looked pleasantly surprised at the idea that something was cooked well! (She hoped...)]
The gel? It's... not natural. I don' know what it is, but it's food, I guess. It seems edible, at least. A choice between bad food and starvin' is nah much of a choice at all.

[ He grabs another vegetable and starts cooking it up for himself. It changes color a little faster than the other one had and that frankly concerns Steve. Is the grill hotter or is that not an accurate way to judge if it is cooked? He pulls it off and bites into it, ready to be the guinea pig.
It's...edible. What he wouldn't give for some salt and garlic right now. ]
First time I was on this ship I had to eat a ton of that gel just to keep up my stamina. So yeah, I get that. But hopefully we have better options and soon. Better for our teeth.

[That sounded like such a weird thing to say. You silly human.]
no subject
[ Maybe that was a weird 30's old wives tale. Steve shrugs. ]
It was mostly a joke.
no subject
You mean... liiiiike... because you don't chew the gel...??
no subject
Yeah. Yeah, that would be the reason for it.

[She honestly had never considered this.]

What's the int-ter-net?
