WHO: Lauri-Ell and You
WHERE: All Around
WHAT: A Day In The Life of a Security Woman
WHEN: Mid April
WARNINGS: small possibility of a structural collapse and getting trapped under it.
1. Queen of Fitness | Civics Center Fitness Rooms
Dawn. Lauri-Ell returns from her patrol routine to the specific place she always to be found in the early morning. The former soldier had been taking care to restore the fitness focused areas of the Civics Center in the past months, and the space definitely showed it now. The time on Coruscant had been helpful in fitting her place better to her tastes. Now instead of worked stone weights for training, she had a few sets of heavy, plasticized dumbbells for people to work with. Nothing compared to the massive wooden log, almost three feet thick and five feet in diameter that she had worked into a shape meant for lifting the edge and flipping for core training, but they were useful anyway. And while there weren't workout machines, she had managed to weave ropes into grids for agility training, long ropes for resistance, and she'd even started the process of building an obstacle course. There were plenty of options for fitness.
The pinnacle of her creation, though, was a room she had taken over off to one side of the main space. The whole floor had been covered with sand hauled all the way from the beach, carefully run through a mesh sieve to keep the larger particles out of. The whole place had been worked down into a nice, relatively soft area for sparring, and there was even a few bags of sand hang from the ceiling for punching. Now if only she could figure out how to make proper mats instead for her sparring space.
Anyone entering would be met with Lauri-Ell there, smiling widely and waving at them.
"Welcome. Do you wish to work out? Spar? I would love to provide assistance."
Billy had said she should find something she wanted to do, wanted to be. And protecting others in every way she can come up with had won out.
2. A Glownie In Need Is A Glownie Indeed | Area of Pink 4
Part of life for Lauri-Ell had always been patrolling Temba. Part of it had come from the fact that, when she had arrived, she had her future Emperor and his Prince-Consort to protect. The rest of it came down to the fact that she was a genetically engineered soldier, and she really just didn't know what to do with herself if she wasn't walking patrols. Which was what she was doing, fully clad in her Accuser armor, the Universal Weapon in hand, and one of the Agrii Security Point guns hanging from a strap at her side. Surely she was kitted out for battle.
What she was not expecting was the distressed noise she heard while walking toward the hangar, or how the noise grew louder and more distressed noises buried under some rubble of the less stable buildings in the area. And that's when she realized what she was hearing.
"A glownie!" the woman gasped, shocked and moving toward the rubble to try and get to where the source was. "I will save you little beast!"
3. Exploring The Ghost of the Past | Pink 25 - Transport Station
Lauri-Ell loved plants, there was no denying that. There was beauty in the fragility of a flower, there was strength in the twisting of a vine, and there was wonder in the wash of green. But here, this place, it was wrong. Lauri-Ell's patrols often led her through this part of the city, eyes watching out for dangerous creatures encroaching in. Today, though, the silence and overgrowth was too much. Too like what she had seen in that New York City where her sister had hidden her during the war. Like the beautiful structure of glass and metal that housed plants where a Cotati had taken a captive little girl named Kit.
It was wrong here. It hurt her to see.
With a sigh Lauri-Ell moved further into the overgrowth, working her way through it. She wanted to see what this structure was, and the plants did not seem to want to let her through.
"I am not your enemy," she told the plants around her. "I wish merely to explore and see what this place was. What it could be. Please, i do not wish to damage you."
They weren't likely to listen.

Ikora was amused by the proud way Ophiuchus said it. That hadn't always been the case with their relationship.
"Did you intend to explore deeper or do you not want to harm the plants?" Ikora asked as she examined the wall of green.
They could push through this wall together but it would most certainly damage the plants, possibly to the point of killing them.
no subject
"I intend to explore deeper," Lauri-Ell answers. And then lifted the large hammer</a. at her side. "I would advise stepping back."
no subject
That hammer reminded her of a Titan's solar hammer. It had to be very powerful.
Ophiuchus ducked behind Ikora's shoulder for a little bit of cover. He wasn't as eager to see things get smashed by a giant hammer.
no subject
An energy blast. Yeah, she was clearly armed with this thing. The blast blew apart a thick tangle of vines and plants, and she continued forward.
"Shall we?"
no subject
"How come she got her weapons and we didn't?" Ophiuchus wondered aloud. There was no judgment in his tone. He was simply thinking out loud.
"Perhaps you are my weapon." Ikora nodded to Lauri-Ell. "Yes, I'm curious to see more. Would you like to take point?"
She had no obvious weapon on her but she was armed. And if things were truly desperate she could use the Void.
no subject
The technology is clearly more advanced than the Agrii realized. He grinned and continued forward. "There are far more functions to it as well, but this will serve for now."
Of course she would take point. The lady was clearly unarmed.
no subject
"Did you make it?" she asked as she followed into the still overgrown interior. She trusted her ghost would warn them if the air became dangerous. He was constantly checking their surroundings and his radar had not detected any living things. "Your hammer."
She studied the architecture as they walked. The buildings were similar to Earth with strange proportions. Ikora was fascinated by what she had seen while exploring so far.
no subject
For another to try and touch it without her permission would hurt them with a serious electrical shocks. "They are sacred weapons, as sacred as anything the Kree have."
no subject
"My people aren't very interested in sacred things either," she mused as she considered the plant life around them. "I have favorite weapons but none that have any religious significance."
None of her favorites had come with her though. Cayde was lucky to have Ace and Sundance. She hoped to figure out a way to get Invective at some point.
no subject
"We have no religion," Lauri-Ell said. "Not as others do."
She continued forward, pausing to look at a fallen fountain. The thing was clearly decorative. What an interesting thing to have.
no subject
Ikora continued past the fountain and went up to what looked like it may have been some sort of bench with perhaps a screen behind it.
"Ophiuchus." Her ghost floated over and scanned the wall but he still wasn't able to interface with the Agrii technology. She frowned.
no subject
Lauri-Ell watched the ghost move, her eyes following it.
"Is it interesting?" Lauri-Ell asks. "It's something like I've seen on Earth."
no subject
"It would be nice to have a map as we explore. Can you download anything?"
"No! Not really. It's been dead a long time and this technology is not very cooperative. Hive rituals make more sense," her ghost grumbled as he tried to get more information from the sign.
no subject
"There is the general map of the city on the communicator," Lauri-Ell offers. There is nothing very detailed, no one seems to have evaluated this area specifically.
no subject
Ophiuchus was more annoyed than her. It was rare Ghosts encountered technology they couldn't interface with.
"You should keep track and perhaps we can recreate a map of our own." That was Ikora's project for the moment. A more detailed map.
no subject
"I shall attempt," she agreed, not certain if Ikora meant her or the ghost.
no subject
"I wonder if this could be bought back online if the plants were cleared out," she wondered aloud as she studied the place. "It would be nice to move through the city easier."
And good for restoration efforts.
no subject
But the idea does have some merit, so she puts her hammer to her back, where her outfit shifts to wrap around it, holding it in place. And she wades in, hands empty, to start pulling at vines.
no subject
Once there's a gap big enough Ophiuchus darts through to scout ahead. "It's thick here! We should come back with a machete."
Ikora steps forward to help pull things apart. She doesn't have the same raw strength that Lauri-Ell does but she's stronger than an average human. She can help.
no subject
But she most definitely smiles in delight over what she's doing while she's doing it. Working with plants delights her, especially these ones allowed to be the way they were.
"You are very capable."
no subject
When the gap was big enough Ikora ducked under and then grunted as she held it up so that Lauri-Ell could squeeze through.
"There's some sort of really big flower up ahead," Ophiuchus warned, circling around them both. "I think it's a flower. It's really big and red. Looks like it would attract insects for pollination."
no subject
A wide, bright smile, just for you Ikora.
Then she reached out, gripping what Ikora has, lifting it further and easier before ducking under it and joining Ikora. Wait, a flower? Her eyes widened as she looked to Ophiuchus.
"Show me where?"
no subject
There were very specific powers a Guardian had. She would have shown her, demonstrated something but with the Light so distant she wouldn't. She needed to have her powers ready in case something attacked them here.
"Oh." Ophiuchus looked between her and Ikora then nodded. "Sure."
He slowly drifted ahead of them, his eye illuminating ahead of him. There were some smaller flowers but the big one he spotted was only a few feet ahead.
no subject
"Beautiful. I hope it is not deadly."
no subject
It looks somewhat similar to a corpse flower from Earth but the wrong shade and bigger. It seemed to be either the end of a collection of vines or the start of them.
Ikora kept her distance as he hovered around it. A ghost was immune to toxins but she very much wasn't. "It is quite large. And I'm not quite sure how it gets any help to pollinate or any sunlight here."
