Hey guys! Got some good news for you.
[Cal smiles as he turns the communicator's camera about to show the Replicator sitting on a worktable within the salvage shop. BD-1 stands on top of it, poking a foot at the light indicators.]
Finally got this thing fixed. It's running apart from the main power grid though, so the output might not be as much as it was before, but it's working now. I can have this thing moved back to the um... "Whale Comb Sent Her" unless anyone has any suggestions for somewhere else.

I see. I too used my master’s lightsaber after his death, until I was able to make my own.
[Taking a breath he pushed the memories aside and then continued.]
If you need any help, I would be happy to assist.
[Though he doubted Cal would need it since Tony is already helping him. Still, he felt that he should at least offer.]

Thanks, Ben. If anything comes up, I'll definitely ask.
[He gestures to the Replicator.]
If you wanted to try it out yourself for anything, feel free to. I'll be moving it back into the welcome building at the city square later today.

Perhaps another time. Though I would like to keep this if that's all right.
[He lifted the rebreather that he was still holding. It could come in handy at some point after all.]

[Cal grins a little as he nods.]
Careful if you go exploring the flood plain. There's a lot of hungry things down there.
[But that probably goes for anywhere. He just has some experience with the aforementioned.]

[The Jedi is amused and nods in thanks before placing the rebreather in the pouch on his belt where one would normally be.]
Though I will certainly keep that in mind.

Wish I could say for sure that there wasn't anything that big lurking in there, but it was a lot deeper than I thought it was. Still, it's the smaller ones that were dangerous. They swarmed us, and the poison from their bites was paralysis-inducing.

[Yikes. Obi-Wan would definitely stay clear of the water in that case. That didn’t sound like a fun way to die, if dying could be fun.]

[It's a wistful sort of look that plays on his face as he thinks of the wizened Jedi master. He wonders, and decides he wouldn't be surprised, if Yoda was still out there somewhere. It does remind him of something however.]
...I saw someone like him here. Much younger, still a child. The Agrii brought him here with a Mandalorian.
no subject
Really? I’ve only known of a handful of Yoda’s kind, and all of them were Jedi. Never had I heard of any living among Mandalorians, and I’ve known quite a few of them.
Was this child Force sensitive?

[Obi-Wan stroked his chin thoughtfully. A bit intrigued by the notion. It was a shake that they no longer seemed to be here.]
Yes, I do know. Always trust your feelings, Padawan. They never lie to you.
no subject
[Cal tilts his head. He doesn't know very much about Mandalorians save for what might have been touched upon in stories or rumors.]
I kind of wish I'd been able to find out more. But at the same time I couldn't blame the Mandalorian for being cautious.
no subject
[Obi-Wan on the other hand knows quite a bit about Mandalorians.]
Why do you say that?
no subject
[From what he'd heard, peace hadn't worked out very well for the Mandalorians, and he's not sure how they've weathered the Empire. Then again, if there are those who've clung to the old ways...]
Hm? Oh. Well, depending on when he's coming from, and how aware he is of the child's potential, it's not too different from what we've been doing. Even being brought here by some unexplainable circumstances, I wasn't sure who all to trust, and there are so many different worlds in the galaxy that I couldn't be sure I wasn't just somewhere the Empire hadn't yet managed to get its hands on.

[Obi-Wan felt himself fortunate that he came across people here he felt he could trust. However, he still didn’t feel confident enough to broadcast his real name. Perhaps in time.]
Though I suppose it doesn’t matter if they’re no longer here.
no subject
[Same with the others from their galaxy, he supposes. He's got mixed feelings on the matter. There's just something about finding out people who were here just suddenly aren't, any more. Cal shakes his head, shrugging.]
no subject
Well, I thank you for the demonstration. Though I shall not take up any more of your time as I’m certain you’re busy.
[Obi-Wan moved to go, but hesitated a moment before looking back to Cal.]
Though if you ever wish to join me, I wouldn’t mind having a bit of company during my meditations.
no subject
[He blinks at the offer then, smiling a bit.]
You know, I think I'll take you up on that some time. I'll see you around, Ben.
no subject
Until then, may the Force be with you, Cal.
[He then quietly goes on his way, his cloak sweeping behind him as he does so.]
